“Greetings all from God's country. The heartland of America. Cedar Rapids Iowa. The toy run today was fairly productive. The Wally world on Blairsferry Rd. has a few of the original Titanium vehicles, oodles of lightsabers and choppers and a few of the Attactix figures. The surprise of the day was the Saga figures. Darth, Yoda, C-3PO, Poggle and the Power Droid. I don't need any of them but they have been a rare site around here. Target on Blairsferry Rd. actually has the Demise of General Grievous figure as well as the Luke, Greedo, Han, Tusken Raider, Biker Scout and a couple of other UGH figures. I picked up Luke, Grievous and the Biker Scout.Target also has Clone Blasters and the Grievous Blaster. I haven't seen those for a long time. Good luck to all my fellow troopers. United We Find.”rrl1125@ccr.net |

“Hey Troopers, Sand Francisco Tim reporting in with another Las Vegas report. This trooper has recently been reassigned to Sin City since the housing market is affordable and there was usually nothing to report in the S.F. area. The Coruscant wave has hit big time with Scorch being the most elusive (concurring with Darth Vegas) and next being C. Cody. KB Toys & Wally have been good at keeping these in stock while TRU & Target, usually my faves, are sucking sand. Found the battle pack Jedi Temple assault at K-Mart. No sign of Grievous demise or Skirmish in the Senate, yet.”awingace@msn.com |
Hey troopers! Fellow staff member Boba Binks has added another image guide to our constantly growing Visual Guides section, and the latest addition involves Hasbro's new paintjob on the Clone Wars Gunship (cartoon style). This new look comes straight from Cartoon Network's animated Star Wars series, Star Wars: Clone Wars. Even though the price on this is a little bit steep, especially since it doesn't come with any figures, it's still a must-have item for any Star Wars collector! Check out the full write-up and images here. |
“Hey Troopers, Darth Vegas reporting in from the western sector with all kinds of figures to report but only to # 30 no further. I might add all the vintage 5's you could ask for too. It's been great hunting as of late except for the elusive SCORCH. I was at checkpoint Wally yesterday and I came across an UGH Cody but the package was road kill. Then I found another Cody regular. This little trooper named Noah came up and asked if I had found any Cody's so I showed him mine and he really wanted the UGH so I gave it to him. We talked awhile and then left. I stopped at Walgreens of all places to pick up a prescription and there in the toy isle with only 3 figures on the peg was the elusive SCORCH as if miraculously placed there for me. I was stunned. I grabbed that dude like a Stripped Bass hitting Powerbait and left feeling quite good about myself. Then I turned around and went back because I forgot the prescription! All in all, a great day in the western sector. Noah if you read this "Happy Hunting" little trooper.”tpinney2@cox.net |
“I went to the Wal-Mart in Madison, Alabama and found 5 cases of the VTSC figures. I opened one of the boxes and looked inside and noticed that the figures were heat sealed not taped. Stuff is stating to trickle in.”c-ryan@mchsi.com |
"Hey Troopers! Indy is getting hit with the Force big time this week. Not only are Wal-Marts getting in the Galactic Hunt igures, Target getting in the Skirmish in the Senate Battle Pack and Titanium Figures, but now Toys-R-Us put out the Clone Wars painted Gunship! It rang up at $44.99 and the number on the receipt is this SW CLONE WARSGUNSHIP 653569157168. No TRU Clone Battle Packs yet to be found. Happy Hunting!".david@sandtroopers.com |

"Today on my way home I made a stop at the Southport Road and I65 Target store (Indianapolis) after some reliable information came my way about the store having finished their reset. On the shelf there were about eight Skirmish in the Senate Battle Packs, the SAGA boxed Obi-Wan Kenobi Starfighter, General Grievous Wheel Bike, and Droid Fighter, lots of the new Vintage figures, and many Geonosis figures warming the pegs. Then I saw the latest wave of Titanium Figures. Well at least the Bossk. I asked a lady who was nearby if they had any more. After she read the tag on the shelf and talked to someone on the radio a gentleman came out with a fresh case of the new Titanium Figures. The case that was brought out contains X1 Darth Vader (painted), X1 Boba Fett (painted), X1 Bossk (painted), and X1 Sandtrooper (painted). The DPCI# on my receipt for the Titanium Figures is 087-06-1622 at $14.99 each. Check out the picture of my score here!"david@sandtroopers.com |

“Hey Troops, here is my report for northern Lake County, IL today:Target (Waukegan, IL): “has 2 Demise of Grievous figures, but the bubbles on the clamshells are crushed. They also have Titanium figures marked down to $10.48, but this is only in Waukegan. There's also the same Hoth & Geonosis pegwarmers. Target (Gurnee, IL) “has the Coruscant wave minus Commander Cody. There's also lots of Darth Vaders warming their pegs. Wal-Mart (Gurnee, IL): “has the Titanium vehicle 5-packs with the silver Death Star on an end cap. That's all for now. Later.” wrightcombo@juno.com |
“Good Morning Troops. Just did my toy run to the Greenwood Wal-Mart in Indy. Not much to speak of. They did have the new Han and Greedo and some other peg warmers. On the end cap were plenty of the 5-pack Titanium series vehicles of AT-AT, Death Star, Vader’s TIE Fighter, Star Destroyer, and Imperial Shuttle. Also, for you collectors of the Galactic Heroes figs, they had the “newer” Emperor/Shock Trooper and the Speeder Bike packs and a few other ones that are becoming more readily available. Good luck in you searches…United We Find!”chad.mcdonald@sbcglobal.net |

Hey troopers! Fellow staff member Boba Binks has put together another new image guide of the Skirmish at the Senate Battlepack. With the Jedi Temple Assault returning to stores, will collectors now spend their hard earned money on this new set? Anyway, be sure to check out the full review and the images of the latest Target Exclusive. |
“Hey Troops, Donna from So Cal. The Jedi Temple and Throne Room Battle Packs have shown up again at K-mart but at the whopping price of $29.99. (Ouch) The new Titanium Gift Pack with the raw metal Death Star are showing up at Wal-Mart. If you into the Titanium Battlestar Galactica ships, they are showing up at both Wal-Mart and Target. My last find for the week was the regular Titanium Bossk and Sandtrooper figs at Target. I am still in need of three UGH figs-Cody, Scorch, and AT-AT Driver. I have a Jedi Temple, Throne Room, and Skirmish in the Senate Battle Packs for trade. If interested, please email me. Thanks and Happy Hunting!”theloneswlady@adelphia.net |
Hey troopers! Fellow staff member Boba Binks has put together a new image guide of the Spudtrooper. Because the Darth Tater turned out to be so successful, one could only have imagined that another tater character would have been designed. The Spudtrooper is a great looking piece to add to anyone's collection, and what would really be cool is if someone were to customize this into a sandy Spudtrooper figure (with pauldron, BlasTech T-21 gun, and possibly even a dewback!). Who's up for the challenge? Anyway, be sure to check out the full review and the images of this little spud here. |

Sandtrooper Mitsu of Hyperspace Japan.com has sent images of the New release Star Wars Attakus General Grievous Japanese Edition. Blister Exclusive in Japan. This stunning likeness is limited to each 200 pieces. Thanks again to Mitsu for the link to all of the images. I'm looking forward to quite a bit of what is to come from Attakus this year! |
“Hi Troopers: Lisette from NYC reporting. Using the DCPI #, I was able to get a set of the VTSC figures. The price scanner also showed that Demise Grievous and the Skirmish set was in stock, however, the Target employee who helped me suggested I come back tomorrow since a colleague who may or may not have been his supervisor made a big deal when he tried to help me. He was able to hook me up with the VTSC figures and suggested I drop by when she is not around. I'm going to try tomorrow for my Grievous figure and the Skirmish set. Hopefully I'll be a proud owner of these things tomorrow.”joelise13@earthlink.net |

Fellow staff member Boba Binks has sent us a new image that has been added to the Gentle Giant Mini-Busts section with the latest addition of Emperor Palpatine. This has to be one of the most beautifully sculpted busts that's come out of Gentle Giant, because this looks dead on! Be sure to check out the image of it and all the others along with it! |

“Well, it appears another dry spell has fallen upon Northwest Indiana. Only one find worth noting this week, and it was the VTSC figures found at Wal-Mart in Schererville on Wednesday night. Picked up the X-Wing Pilot Luke Skywalker and Biker Scout, but decided to wait on the rest. The best part was, the two were taped, not heat sealed, making me a very happy carded collector! The UGH figs seem to have come and gone so quickly, there is no sight of them anywhere. In fact, if anyone has an extra UGH Scorch they are willing to part with, I will be happy to find him a home where he can run and play! On other fronts, no sightings of the Demise of General Grievous or the Skirmish in the Senate Battlepack exclusives from Target, neither on the shelves, nor in their stockrooms. Hoping to find these in the next week, otherwise I will need to depend on our loyal Troopers here in our forum for help. Until next time, continue your missions against scalper scum. Transmission out.”pat@sandtroopers.com |
Hey Troopers, we have a mini-update to the Trash Scene Guide that was prepared by our own Desert Rat quite some time ago. Added to the guide are images of the Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Prototypes that were used to create the siblings for the two separate sets. I picked these up on Ebay and we felt it couldn't hurt to add more fuel to the fire. Also hot off the heels of my Star Tours mission, we should be adding Wave 4 to the Star Tours guide very soon! |
“Today, I want to Wal-Mart and they had shelf displays of the VTSC. They were priced at $9.96 vs. Target at $11.99. Anyway, I noticed that the clamshells were taped, not heat-sealed. I'd say that 75% of the figs in the displays (5 displays, 10 figs per display) had tape while the remaining 25% had heat seals. I tried cutting the POP out of a Heat Sealed package, very tough. However, I can now buy 5 figs cut the clamshells open, remove the POP, then have the figures to display on the walls in non-mangled clam-shells.”slavefett1@comcast.net |
“The end cap at the Hurstbourne Wal-Mart was full of VTSC figures. I haven't seen that many figures in one place since the March madness thing right before ROTS opened. It was great to see so many figures available. I can relax now that I have my VTSC Scout Trooper!”stephen@armbrust.net |
“Well, I finally had some luck out here in Southern Cali after a few months of nothing. I recently came across the Demise of Grievous figure from my local Menifee Target. There were 4 left on the shelf after I got mine, and when I went back the following morning, they were gone. I have been checking their system every day for the past two weeks and nothing. Still looking for the Skirmish in the Senate as well. This morning, I decided to run by the Murrieta Wal-Mart and found a semi jackpot. They finally had the Coruscant wave and all figures were there with the exception of Cody and any UGH figures that may have been there. I am glad I went when I did. I still need the Cody though (probably the best in this wave). I think I am going to pass on all the UGH figures. Not only are they hard to come by, but also the only difference is a foil strip on the card and a sticker? Geez, what a ploy! How does anyone not feel like they are getting jacked? I also saw the VOTC figs, and a lot of those at that at Wal-Mart Monday. All were there except the Biker Scout, and were sold out the following day. I passed, not impressed at all. Never got into the VOTC figs. I will probably get the George Lucas figure from ebay. Probably a lot cheaper to do it that way, especially since I am not an opener. Bobafred: I may need your help on the Cody. I will keep you posted! Anyways, good luck everyone.”chicanodom@msn.com |

“Good news from the great state of Texas! At the Target in Killeen I scored both the Senate Battlepack and the Target Exclusive General Grievous. They also have marked down their Titanium figures down to $10.48, so I grabbed the colored version of Boba Fett. Speaking of titanium figures, the Killeen Wal-Mart was reported to have received the new Sandtrooper titanium figure, but the packaging is all crushed. Also at Wal-Mart are the new VTSC figures in large quantities and only priced at $9.96 vs. the higher Target prices, and the entire clamshell cases were heat-sealed. KB Toys had the Coruscant wave and I was able to score an UGH Cody! And Kmart’s sale of 2 figures for $10 was a total washout; all they had all week was a few ROTS pegwarmers and Bib Fortuna's, Yuk! TRU here has been a joke for a long time now, no wonder they are having so much difficulties, they never have new stuff out. Well, that's all from Central Texas, Starfox signing out...”starfox@hot.rr.com |
“Hey Troops, here is my report for northern Lake County, IL today: Wal-Mart (Gurnee, IL) “has the new UGH VOTC figures. There were 3 Lukes, 3 Hans, 3 Greedos, & 3 Tusken Raiders. All the Biker Scouts were gone. They were on a shelf display between the toy section & gardening section next to the lightsaber display due to lack of space in the Star Wars aisle. Target (Gurnee, IL): “has the whole Coruscant wave in stock minus Galactic Hunts. Other than that Gurnee, IL didn't have much to offer. Until next time Troopers!” wrightcombo@juno.com |
“HothChad from Minnesota. Just to let the troopers know that the Target Grievous figure has showed up here in MN. It's still in back, you'll have to use the DCPI to request it. The VTSC figures have also showed up at the Targets, haven't seen any at Wal-Mart yet. The Target battlepack is in the system, but is not in the back yet, it should be soon since it seems like April 30th is going to be a big release for Target. HothChad Out!”chadbarb@sherbtel.net |

“I can confirm that the Boys action figure isle is set for revision the week of the 30th. At Target Keep in mind that this is NOT a street date merely the week it is supposed to be done. Some may do it early or later. That's to say if there is anything to put out with everyone using their mind tricks to get product early.”kmclark14@comcast.net |
“DarthPharaoh has been on the slow side. Took a trip to Darth Vegas’ neck of the woods and no luck on any front for me. Even the Star Wars slots didn’t pay off, oh well. As for back here in the ATL the VTSC wave has hit though I’m splitting a pre-ordered case with another local so I’m not really looking for these very hard. But they are here. On an odd note Kmart’s here have gotten in more Jedi Temple Assault Battlepacks but the cost seems to have gone up. 31.49 for it. I guess Kmart has gone scalper on us!! Glad I got these when they first came out. Also picked up the Battlestar Galactica Titanium ships. Pretty cool, even if they aren’t Star Wars. I just really like this line. I’m out for now. Drop 'em like they’re hot!”djohnson@internap.com |
“Hey Troops, a Happy Easter to all. Sorry for the delay, I've had trouble with a nerve in my hand. It makes typing hard. Anyway, Wally world has the buy 5 get a George Lucas Stormtrooper series. Luke, Han, Greedo, Tusken and Biker Scout. I was surprised because they actually stocked the shelves full for a change. Haven't seen any Saga 06 figures past #30 and was wondering if anyone else has seen any? Hey those miniatures remote R2 Droids are sure cool. So far they have 3 different units out so give them a look. Besides that just normal recons and continued successes. Still can't wait for the upcoming animated series and the TV series to get going. I need Video! Well that's it for now!”tpinney2@cox.net |

“Interesting thing I found while searching on Walmart.com- the early bird figure kits are still for sale - looks like the certificate is valid till the end of the year. This paragraph is part of the description of the item - 29.96 Note: This package includes no action figures. Figures will be shipped when you redeem your certificate. Redemption date on certificate will say 11/30/05. Actual redemption date has been extended to the end of the year of 2006. I am looking for all of the UGH action figures except Solo, Obi-Wan and Anakin if any trooper can help me out email me please.”Onebigk@aol.com |

Fellow staff member Boba Binks has another update for the Sandwatch this evening, and his latest one involves Cinemascape's Cold-Cast Darth Vader statue. This stunning statue captures the early days of Darth Vader in his newly acquired armor, as he poses while standing on a steel grid that lies over a lava pit. Anything that has to do with Darth Vader is cool, and you know you want to get one of these for your collection! Check out the full report and images here. |
Fellow staff member Boba Binks and forum member jlcmsu have teamed up together to bring you an incredibly detailed review and image guide of Sideshow Collectible's 12" Luke Skywalker figure. The amount of detail and accuracy is unreal, and I'm starting to wonder why Sideshow didn't start taking this over much sooner then they did. Their work is superb, and even though I don't personally own any of these these are still great pieces to add to your collection. Check out the entire write-up and images for yourself here, and don't forget to share your opinions of Sideshow's 12" line in our forums. |
Also, if you would like to add your collection to our Collection Section, please send an email to dustrho@sandtroopers.com with your photos. Don't worry about the size or quality of them, because I'll be able to take care of that for you. There's no restriction to the number of photos, so feel free to send them all to us. Thanks! |
