Sandtrooper Rogue Jedi TJ reports:
with the NE Pennsylvania reportDateline: Can a Fellow Trooper Help? “I am looking for an Unleashed Clone Trooper with red stripe. I have plenty of Star Wars items, some rare, to trade towards him. Please let me know whether you can help.”

Sandtrooper Tyler reports:
“Hey Troopers, I hit the jackpot today and found just about every figure up to the Star Destroyer wave. I found them at Wal-Mart here in North Bay, Ontario, Canada and all were on Tri-logo cards. The only figures I have yet to see on Tri-logo are R1-G4 and R-3PO. We did get these on US cards but they are not listed on the backs of the tri-logo cards. I have the following extras for cost plus shipping; J'Quille x 3, Holo Luke, R2-D2, Jedi Luke, Dutch, Dodonna, Antilles, TIE Pilot, Hoth Luke and Hoth Trooper. All are Tri-logo except for the Hoth figures and cost was $10.26 CAN tax included ($7.60 US). I can get more of the Holo Lukes along with Lando Skiff and Rappertunie if anyone needs those too. If you'd prefer to trade instead, I'm still looking for a couple CW SA Clone Troopers and the Endor General wave. Other than that I'm pretty much caught up on the new stuff thanks to some friends here. I still need quite a few of the original POTF figures (loose) from 1985 though finish if anyone has some for trade. I am also looking for a Kotobukiya Vader to trade for or at a decent price. Take care troops. Over and out from the Great White.”

Sandtrooper Darth reports:
“Hello fellow troopers, Darth here from central Wisconsin. Just did a run at the Target and Wal-Mart stores in Stevens Point. Nothing new to report except remnants of the endor wave at Wal-Mart. I was thinking about the new vintage line of figures coming out later this year and wondering why Hasbro doesn't do something smart like manufacture a vintage figure stand like the one they made in the late 1970's. Think of the Sandtroopers out there that would purchase two of every vintage figure just so they could open one set and display them on the stand. Wouldn't it also be great if they would offer this stand as a mail in offer for Jedi Master points. Alas, one can dream.”

Quick Wausau Update:
My wife ran to Shop-Ko today on the south end of town and noticed they had some figures that her hubby didn't have. So when I got home from work today she tricked me into finding Dengar and Admiral Ozzel she had hidden in the house. All I can say is “outstanding.” She also mentioned they had two more of each still hanging if you need these and live in the area. Otherwise, good luck in your neck of the woods.

Sandtrooper Sithfather David reports:
“Hey troops, Sithfather David here, from good ole NC. I went out tonight on my usual run and TRU was dry on SW figs, but they did have the new LOTR RotK figs (Merry, Morgul lord and Ghost King). However to my delight I finally beat the ’Toy Mafia’ to the 2 new waves at Wally World!!! Target had the only fig that Wal-Mart didnt, Bossk of course had to be the odd ball. Needless to say the hunt was good! There are still a lot of each at Wal-Mart so head on down if you have the time! Or Let me know SOON and I can pick somebody up some stuff! MTFBWY and Semper Fi Cpl Mike!”

Good for shoving up the tailpipe of an enemy’s vehicle“Hey J, hope you can help me one last time. I have a POTJ TIE Bomber available for $30.00 shipped to someone who needs one. It has a slight ding in the window, but otherwise is in great shape, and never been opened. I received 2 different inquiries both saying they wanted it but never sent a money order so please, serious inquiries only. Thanks!!!” - Trooper Sithryan (Ryan Matthews)

Wausau, Wisconsin Report.
Hi Troops, Sandtrooper Dan reporting in from the very warm and finally thawed out city of Wausau. I went out on a toy run yesterday and our local Target had three peg warmers on the pegs, but they did have the second wave Clone Wars figures in finally. They also had the Obi-Wan and Jango Kamino Deluxe sets, and Obi-Wan and Darth Maul cups with figure sets. Wal-Mart really surprised me for a change; they had something new! I picked up Bossk, Han Solo, and General Madine. These were the only three new figures they had, the rest were from the Hoth wave. The main thing is, these new figures are starting to trickle in. K-Mart surprised me also, not for the Clone Wars pegwarmer figures, but for the Jabba's Palace Court Denizens Deluxe sets. They also had the Jabba. I was very happy to score the Denizens set. Shop-Ko finally put out their supply of Spider Droids and Super Battle Droid Factory wiff the playdough. I was shocked. This is the first time I've seen these in this town, and they were released a long time ago if I remember corectly. As for figures, all they had were older ones hanging on the pegs.

All in all it was a pretty good day for finding stuff I needed, and I'm glad to see new and harder to find older products starting to filter in here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Good luck in your neck of the woods.

Sandtrooper SoCal Jedi Dom Reports:
Dom, of Dom and Dommer“Found a lot of stuff out in sunny, warm Southern California today, more stuff than I have seen since the beginning of December. Even more surprising was that my local Wal-Mart received more today than I have seen in over a year! Hopefully that is a good sign of the times. Anyhow, I got the new Endor wave, the Executor wave, the new Ewok duluxe figure, and not to mention there were tons of X-wings and Silver Clonetroopers at my local TRU as well. Not a bad day to say the least. Anyways, I was able to land extras of all 3 of the Executor wave, and 2 of the 3 of the Endor wave, save the Han in AT-ST disguise. I have Bossk x2, Ozzel x2, Dengar x2, General Lando x1, and Madine x1. All in C-9+ condition. Unfortunately, no Hans, which looks to be the most popular of all 6 figures by far. I am looking to trade if possible. I already have J'Quille, Holo Luke & Tanus Spijek, but they are in C-7 condition. So if anyone has these in near perfect C-9+ condition, I would like to trade for them. I am also looking for a C-9+ Jabba's Court Denizens. These have been very few and far between. Anyways, email me if interested. If I get no offers to trade, the first few offers to buy at cost plus shipping will be honored. Hopefully someone out there can help. Take care!”

Force of the Bay: If You Build it, They Will Come...
It was another magnificent run through the bay; once again I am amazed on what you can find either factory made or something from the creative mind of a collector. Forgive me if you only buy things that are officially licensed products, I am going to attempt to show you some great custom work in this installment. There is something about browsing the thousands of action figures but some of the props people build always intrigues me. If a Sandtrooper is too dirty a job, perhaps maybe enlisting as one of our heavy equipment operators is more your cup of tea. There is everything and anything to help radiate your collection. A blast from the old Kenner line can always be found at a reasonable price. Some of the things that you forgot about, or probably should have been thrown away are all at your disposal. There is always the thing that throws you for a loop, or wonder just what is it? You can find sellers that are well known if you have a hard time trusting complete strangers. You may even find some chappy to start the bidding at nothing for that foreign exclusive you thought you?d never own. You can start at the beginning and find them in the most wonderful conditions. Don?t buy anything, just look around. I stumbled upon this awesome deal for a figure. Seems Amanaman Dan may not be the only one cranking out great dioramas! Please conduct through feedback checks; you may not get an outstanding citizen like Dan! Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Special thanks to Jawa Chris Kelso for the spare parts, good luck to you great Troopers in your searches. Kick A#$ and take names!

Sandtrooper Darth Zack reports:
“Quick report from NW Indiana, Wal-Marts have had nothing really lately, so I decided to try my luck at the Valparaiso Target and found two more new figs with glasses. The Anakin and Luke (X-Wing) version. Since I had not read about these lately, I thought that I would share what little bounty there has been around here. Good luck troops.”

These are hitting in the Midwest because Spice and I also found these at Highland Park, Illinois Target on Friday.

“Theed Palace Hallway” Lego™ Diorama by ACPin:
Theed Palace“The Battle Droid unit escort the prisoners through a hallway of the Theed Palace. Undermanned against the Trade Federation army, the advisors of Queen Amidala offered no resistance to the invading forces. All areas of the palace from the interior up to the exterior are heavily patrolled by the army of Battle Droids.

“I've been planning to do a Theed Palace but couldn't decide on how large it was going to be and if I could get the correct look and scale of it. So I wound up doing this prototype of the palace hallway on a 32x32 baseplate for starters.”

Sandtrooper “Trooper Larry” reports:
The Morning After“Hey troops! Trooper Larry reporting from the Mentor, Ohio front. Not much new to report. TRU has the re-carded Gold figures, and the Red Leader X-wing. Wal-Marts in Mentor, Eastlake, and Strongsville are as empty as Tatooine. Target in Strongsville had a few animated figs left, and the remnants of the HoF wave, Leia to be exact. They also had 2 Geonosian Fighters on sale for $9.98. That?s it for this report troops. Keep up the hunt.”

Sandtrooper Rogue Jedi TJ reports:
“Rogue Jedi TJ checking in with another store report and a big thank you to Trooper Amanaman Dan for making my observation a reality, that is freakin' hysterical man, you are the king!

“Store Report NE PA: the Local Wal-Marts have received their shipments of the repackaged Unleashed Sidious and Jedi Luke; other than that nada. Same hangers at Kaybee and TRU as well. Although when I was at Kaybee I saw the Jedi Council members. They were all there just hanging out. I talked to Plo Koon and Yarael Poof for a bit but I had no idea what they were saying. I shared a cigarette with Even Piel. He was pretty cool but miserable at the same time, and he didn't like my Sammy Davis Jr. joke. All in all it was pretty cool; I got some autographs and such. Moral to the story: check your toy runs as often as you can as you never know what You will find. Good luck in Your toy runs and may the Force be With You. Sandtroopers truly is the best Star Wars collector and fan site around!”

I can never pass up an opportunity to have Sandtrooper's Graphito Supremo Dan create yet another Sandtrooper Observation™. We'll be putting together a comprehensive page of all the Sandtrooper Observations™ to-date. Thanks too for the kind words TJ, United We Find!

“Hello Troopers, still pretty slow here in Mid-Michigan, very slim choosings with the newer waves. Just the occasional Yavin and HoF figures. Sandtrooper Vindicator reports:
Canada’s Coast to Coast“Hey gang, Trooper Vindicator kicking it here in the bud capital of the continent (and I ain't talking BudWEISER, if you feel me). Here's the latest from the Northwest. We've lately found near-complete runs of the Yavin and Jabba's Palace waves at our Wal-Mart stores; only J'QUILLE seems to have evaded Canadian collectors this go round (like so many figures before him). If you have an extra J'Quille and know a Canadian, hang onto him and help a northerner out.

“We actually can't complain too loudly this year, we're batting near .800 after having found 11 of the first 15 basics up here this year. Big improvement, but there's still work to do. We didn't get the Tatooine wave either, so keep us in mind. Good luck with the hunt, Troopers, and keep scalping those scalpers.”

Sandtrooper El Guille reports:
“Hey Troopers! This is my first time posting here, but since I never see any troopers reporting from Miami, I thought I would pass on the news, so far none of the Endor wave has shown here, but the re-released new package Unleashed have been spoted at the local Wal-Marts. Darth Sidious and Luke are all over the place at $14.99, on the back of the packages it shows the pictures of Obi-Wan and Leia, so for whoever missed them the first time around, keep your eyes open. I am still looking for the three Endor Wave figures and the Ultra Ewok if anyone can help, and if you are still looking for some stuff drop me a line and maybe I can help you out. Thanks and happy hunting!”

Dewback Patrol: 31st Year of the Kane County Toy Show
[Click to view Coverage][Click to view Coverage]Darth Spice and I commandeered the Imperial landing craft whilst dustrho saddled up his dewback for a rendezvous at the 2004 Kane County Toy in St. Charles, Illinois. Sunday was general public admission day, with dealer day having been Saturday. There wasn't the bevy of marked-up new product we're used to seeing, but there was an abundance of vintage and ’modern vintage’ that was more than your wallet could go up against. The three of us took a cursory look around several buildings full of dealer tables. And while many vendors seemed to offer the same stock of POTF2 through Saga figures, you'd sometimes run into the unusual like twelve-inch carded customs that offered you blown up versions of 3 ? inch equivalents. A few vendors drove a hard bargain but play your cards right and you could walk away with some vintage steals or get that figure from last summer that your fellow Trooper just couldn't find storeside. If I hadn't been so tough on some of the asking prices I may have walked away with that A.S.P., H.I.S.S., or have you ever seen a vintage Jetfire for $180? At the end of the day and four hours of browsing, buying, networking, and making new friends, it was a great time with fellow Troops. We also saw some old friends, like Brian Semling of Brian's Toys, members of the 501st MidWest Garrison, and Rhonda and Karen from Toy Shop Magazine. We encourage everybody out there to saddle up the dewback and make a landing at these type of shows when they are near you. If anything, it drives home the point that if you had missed something in your collection. there IS another! View the coverage of this event and Keep on Troopin'!

Sandtrooper SoCal Jedi Dom Reports:
Dom, of Dom and Dommer“Got an insider trading tip this afternoon from a fellow trooper (So Cali Rod) that the Ozzel wave was available at my local KB store in Hemet, CA. On the tip I went, and to my surprise, they were still there. Possibly because of the $6.99 price tag they carried. I did buy a set for myself as well as an extra set for a sandtrooper member that may be in need. I am looking to trade for the following: C-9+ Tanus Spijek, J'Quille, Holo Luke, Ultra Denizens, or Ultra Ewok Glider. If anyone has any of these figures, e-mail me. I also have an extra Silver Clonetrooper C-9+ if anyone needs one as well. Otherwise, not much else at Wally World, Target, Kmart or TRU in all of the Inland Empire. If anyone else has what I am looking for and are willing to sell at cost plus shipping, drop me a line.”

Sandtrooper Rogue Jedi TJ, the Original Rogue Jedi reports:
Dateline: Scalper Alert “Hello Fellow Troopers, I am looking for a couple Star Wars figures and was hoping a fellow Trooper may be able to Help. I am currently Searching for Ephant Mon, the General Madine Wave, Admiral Ozzel, HoF Vader, Saga 12-inch Biker Scout and Ewoks, and Unleashed Mace, Luke Jedi, Obi Wan, Darth Sidious. I Have Plenty to trade or Would purchase at a Fair Price. I am also looking for Starcases. Northeast PA store reports are pretty dismal. Wal-Mart Has plenty of Saga Hoth Trooper (Guy Smiley Trooper) and Luke Hoth. Target had zip, TRU had a rack of POTJ Zutton, and Scalper Alert!!! Toy Works obviously had the Ephant Mon Wave, but after 2 Fresh cases put out in the Morning, no Ephant Mons? Amazing how this KB Employee (and I know who he is) only takes the harder to find figures in any toy line. That is ridiculous is my opinion. If You can help, help and please send me an e-mail. Thank you Ladies and Gents. MTFBWY ... Always.”

Many Time Consuming Hours, However a Labor of Love for the Amanaman:
Dan’s Diorama LandIn late 2002 General Jason was looking to add to the talent pool here at Sandtroopers. Searching through the forums he came across the work of me, Daniel Eversdyk, Amanaman Dan. I began working on various graphics and photographs for Sandtroopers and later joined the Staff. Another talent I bring to the table is my skill at constructing dioramas. After my work on Mos Eisley, I decided to throw my hand at ebay auctions. I drew up rough sketches of what I had in mind about six months prior to the start of construction. I wanted some help with this project so I recruited local help, a friend by the name of Troy Koestler. Many time consuming hours, however a labor of love for the Amanaman. One thing was for sure, many more will come and this section will be the beneficiary of these efforts. Whether we keep them in our own collections, or sell them online, they will all be featured here at Sandtroopers.com. Click Jabba or the button at the left to enter my crazy world of Star Wars visuals.

Unleashed Visual Guide Live:

Click above to enter the Guide

In 2002, when the line first premiered, it seemed not to spark much attention. Easily found at retail, Unleashed began with Wave 1 figures Wave 1: Boba & Jango Fett "Intensity": Nicknamed by collectors as "Crying Boba and his Daddy" Darth Maul "Fury:" Nicknamed by collectors as "Valet Dancer" Maul. Although Hasbro had explained beforehand what to expect from the Line, the initial public reaction in 2002 was, in its majority, a negative one. Used to well articulated sculpts recreating true situations from the films, collectors felt a bit surprised and disoriented when finally exposed to the extreme-artist interpretation of the figures and lack of articulation Unleashed offered. Despite the fact Darth Maul's sculpture reflected an actual stance found in Wushu Kung Fu, fans weren't too happy with the one foot twirled pose and spiral fire-like platform of the figure. The Line looked as if it was about to take a dive into an ocean of rejection, and it did. For sometime Unleashed started warming up the pegs ... Later the same year, after the release of Wave 2, the rejected Line took a turn for the better, and started to gain attention. Here for you is a complete to-date Visual Guide containing detailed pictures and reviews. More exciting figures, dramatically crafted await ahead of us and have been announced. Rest assured, each of them will be recorded, photographed and brought here as part of this Unleashed Visual Guide for your enjoyment.

I admit Darth Vader was the first and the only one worthy of applying Darth to his name but I borrowed that a few years back and became Darth-Dallas. Dallas as in Dallas Cowboys, America's Team! I visit the site today and I find out that my boy Spice is now Darth Spice. To top it off there is now a Darth Vraider! Good God, see what a 3-13 season can do to ones head! Ok boys, stop typing, I was just messing with you. Welcome to the ’Darth Club!’ Seriously, the NFL released its schedule last week so Dad and I had to figure out when we were going to go to Dallas to see the Boys. We picked, November 15, 2004 Monday Night Football (Philadelphia at Dallas), I can't wait! Tomorrow night it's Atlanta Braves at the Marlins here in South Florida. All these games are killing my wallet. Sunday I take off with Holland America for a one week cruise! Lookout Puerto Rico! I should have just enough time to recover in a couple of weeks financially to get ready for the OTC line here in South Florida. Bring that line on baby! Well, I haven't found squat lately and I am sorry that you had to read about my life but hey, I have to read about Transformers, LotR, The Simpsons and all that other ’GAY’ stuff here at the finest Star Wars Site on the net so it's only fair! I do wish all the troops the best of luck this weekend! Be safe! Now a moment of silence for Pat Tillman and all the other Service men and women fighting each and every day for our freedom. RIP - Pat Tillman (27 years old, A Hero and Fallen Soldier!”

Thanks for the kind words from one Darth to another. I wouldn't necessarily say the other hobbies swing you the other way, more like there is more to life than Star Wars! You just watch it down there in Puerto Rico, Sandtrooper Founding Father George Collazo is firmly set in the trenches! Big Salute to Patrick Tillman, proving the words that are used too often such as hero and courage are more valuable than the big money of the NFL. God Bless to the all the families that receive this terrible news. Remember Freedom isn't free, God Bless America.

Sandtrooper Dennis reports:
“I went to check out the stores today. Here's my report:

Target (Gurnee, IL): “had 1 ESB glass with X-wing pilot Luke along with TPM glasses with Darth Maul & ANH glasses with Ben. The rest were Jedi Padawan waves, Animated CW figs, & Ultra Jabbas & Obi-Wans.

Wal-Mart (Gurnee, IL): “had nothing (ed. note - this isn't entirely true; one Ultra Obi-Wan has been, and is, at this Wally World - Jason).

TRU (Gurnee, IL): “had 1 Holo Luke, 1 Rappertunie, 1 TIE Fighter Pilot, and 1 Orn Free Taa. They also had more Jedi 4-packs & more Red Leader X-Wings.

“It seems that the only SW products that Target & TRU have been getting are the exclusives. That's all for now. Later.”

Sandtrooper David in North Carolina reports:
Dateline: Disintegrate All Scalpers “Hey Troopers, David here in Hickory, NC. I went out yesterday and today just keeping up the usual rounds and I saw a few Yavin wave and the usual peg warmers. Target has 2 Darth Maul Collecters cups and some Clone Wars animated figs: Durge, Dooku, Obi-Wan, and Yoda. I picked one cup for Trooper Corporal Mike (SEMPER FI buddy), but I havent forgotten about the rest of the troops out there. Today I picked up 1 Red Leader X-wing and a very decent silver clone trooper. If anybody wants the trooper let me know (for trade or cost plus shipping). The TRU here still has some Silver Clones. If anybody needs one let me know and I will pick up a couple for you. If there is somebody out there who still needs one, let me know and maybe we can do some swapping and we could talk trades or just cost plus shipping, however you want to do it. I usually go out every other day to look and I travel at least an hour both ways to other cities so I keep my eyes peeled everywhere. Just let me know whether I can help anybody and MTFBWY!!! Until next time Troops, stay alert and stay focused, and please disintegrate all scalpers!!! Scalpers beware, I know who some of you are (we call them the ’Toy Mafia’ around here and my friends and I are slowly tracking them down for a truly brutal Sith Lord ’hit’) Isn't it fun? Give 'em Heck Troops!!”

Sandtrooper Forcehunter - G.I. Joe Convention Recon Volunteer? reports:
?Sandtrooper Forcehunter reporting in from Jacksonville, Florida. Sandtroopers.com has done me a great service so now is the time I return the favor. As you may or may not know, the G.I.Joe Defender of Freedom Convention is being held this July 4th weekend. There will be three exclusive items available only to attendees: a figure two pack, a figure three pack, and an exclusive vehicle. All will be done in the vintage A Real American Hero molding and will have a paint scheme exclusively for this event. I am offering to pick these items up for any trooper that wants them and to keep these out of the hands of scalpers. The estimated cost for all three will be $95.40 (tax calculated in). That is thirty bucks each item if you only want one of the three. This may seem high, but they are only released for this event and have a limited production number in the neighborhood of 700-900 (actual number not yet released by Mastercollector, the host).

?If interested, here's what to do. I must have the payment before the Con. The best way to do this is to Western Union me the money by June 30. On the week of May 1st, I will start making weekly runs on Fridays and a final run on June the 30th. You must e-mail me by Thursday night (or if you wait to the last minute, June 28) to alert me of a transfer or I will not get it. I highly recommend using their website: www.westernunion.com Contact me for my personal info to complete the transfer via e-mail using the title: Sandtroopers Joe Con Premiums. I will not open up an e-mail with a new address without this title; it will be deleted. If you wish for references, my ebay user id is jeditransfan77. You may also wish to look at the Trader Feedback Thread on www.toynewsi.com for the user Forcehunter. There is also no guarantee that everyone who ordered one will get a set. These will be very popular and I will do what I can. I will make a list of who sends me money first. It will more than likely come down to first come first serve. Thanks Troops and see you on the flip side.? - Dave

Sandtrooper Jedi Dom in the Woods of Wisconsin reports:
“Hey Troops, the Red-Leader X-Wing was spotted at the local TRU in East Central Wisky. Passed on it. Of more interesting news, here's the latest on the Original Trilogy DVD:

’Disc Four will feature all new and exclusive bonus material. The centerpiece of the disc Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy: This two-and-a-half hour documentary traces the evolution of the saga, from a low-budget labor-of-love space saga to the movie phenomenon that defied the odds and reinvented the rules. This comprehensive documentary features all new interviews with George Lucas and more than 40 members of the cast and crew from the original Trilogy, as well as a host of filmmakers and media personalities. Empire of Dreams includes some never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the three films. In the Episode III behind-the-scenes preview featurette, The Return of Darth Vader Lucas discusses how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader and we get a first look at the new Vader costume for Episode III, and see how actors Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor prepared for the epic lightsaber battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Birth of the Lightsaber featurette takes a look at the origins and creation of “this elegant weapon from a more civilized age.” The Characters of Star Wars featurette takes an in-depth look at how all the classic characters developed, from original concept art to interviews with Lucas and the cast. For the entire story go to thedigitalbits.com.’

Sandtrooper Forcehunter reports:
Dateline: A Fan Who Works the Late Shift? “Greetings Troops. Members of my unit have reported finding Red Leader X-Wing in Jacksonville, FL. TRUs. Nothing else of interest on the Star Wars side. For you LotR collectors, RotK wave 2 has hit Wal-Marts in Jacksonville. This is where I have to ask a favor. I think that Faramir is short packed and I want to army-build him. If some Troopers find an extra Faramir in armor, I'll gladly buy it from you. Thanks Troops.

“After taking some time out to seek an affordable Pathfinder for my coming move to DC, I checked my Wal-Mart on a whim to see whether I couldn't get lucky like the rest of my unit in finding the latest RotK figures, and succsess! I found one Morgul Lord and 1 Merry. The Morgul Lord wasn't where it should be. A stock woman came by and I asked her whether she knew if they had anymore. She took a look on the shelf and said,
’Well, I know we had some in overstock and we ran out of room to put the latest case out.’ She reached up the top shelf and pulled two Morgul Lords. I was exstatic. My venture also yielded a Jabba (finally) and B'omarr Monk packs.

“I went back to ask her name so I could pass along a compliment her to her manager for wonderful service. I told her how us collectors who know what we want are snubbed by the answer:
’If it isn't on the peg, we don't have it.’ She told me that there was a guy who came every night and asked for her help in finding Star Wars figures and she would get cases out from the pallets or the back. A Helpful Ally, but possibly an Unwitting Scalper Accomplice? Every Night? It might be a fan who works the late shift and stops by on his way to work, but this does sound like scalper behavior and would explain why I have a hard time finding ANY SW figs there.”

Kane County Toy Fair: This weekend!
The Force will be with YouHey Troops, Jim from Federation Toys wanted to pass on information to those of you in the area to attend the Kane County Toy Show this weekend. I attended the show last spring and it was quite an event for a local show. I found more Star Wars figures than my wallet could handle, among many other things. Rest assured, there will be a strong Sandtrooper presence at the show as well. We'd like to encourage everyone to come out and help spread unity!

Area Report: Strength in Numbers
After coming up next door to nothing I decided to give the General a tour of Gurnee, IL to show him probably the worst den of scalps this side of the Mississippi. TRU outside Gurnee Mills was a bleak, barren mess of post Silver Clone depression. I just couldn?t believe they still had the Jedi 4-packs! If perhaps they had used their heads and promoted the Silver Clone the same way they did the R2, you wouldn?t have anything at all left in stock. TRU really dropped the ball on this one. I will mark the Silver Clone as the most disappointing of the Silver Exclusives. It was nice to see they had a good plan for a solid rebound this summer! The Wal-Mart in Gurnee had 1 Ultra Obi Wan Confrontation and a few Lightsabers. Target offered the Executor wave but a little too late, all that I found were Admiral Ozzels. I picked up a nice one for the next time I run into Michael Sheard. KB toys in Gurnee Mills had the re-issue Barriss, Aayla, Padawans etc. Plus a whole new shipment of $7.99 screen scenes. What puzzles me the most about collecting Star Wars is if you ask any clerk they will tell you the products don?t sell very well. Then how come there are never any of the new assortments in stock? With the increase nation wide in fuel, I was happy to add one more figure to my collection. Beats the hell outta coming home empty handed. Good luck to you great Sandtroopers in your searches. Move along, move along! Kick A#$ and take names!

Area Report - “Yes I Could in the Woods of Wisconsin”
After burning through six states and a forty-four hour experiment in sleep deprivation, Darth Spice and I regrouped for a Troopin’ toy run in N. Illinois and S. Wisconsin yesterday. Waukegan, IL Target came up empty except for four (Dooku, Mace, Asajj, and Anakin) Cartoon Network figures I needed and, for some entertainment, Midway Arcade Classics featuring 720 Degrees and “A Real American Hero” and “The Revenge of Cobra” on DVD. This Target also had a few of each Maul and Obi-Wan glasses. Big Kmart there had the stray Lando Sail Barge and many $3 clearance figures. Target in Kenosha, WI produced two more Cartoon Network figures (Obi-Wan and Durge, and thanks to a case of retail associate brain drift, I got two for the price of one!) and they had two Maul glasses. Kenosha KB Toy Works still had a Geonosian War Chamber pack that Spice needed for under $6, while I grabbed Series 2 new Garabage Pail Kids on the way out. Kenosha Big Kmart had three or four of each of the Yavin/Jabba's Palace wave and a special peg for $3 Jango Fetts; this store also had some of the newer TMNT (Toddler Turtles). We thought we may had run into Trooper Mat-Large on this run but he wasn't in the area. You can run but you can't hide. Scalpers, Beware; now there are two of us! United We Find, Troops!

Sandtrooper Tucson reports:
The Morning After“Just to let all the troops in Tucson, Arizona know that I stopped by the Whetmore Wal-Mart this morning on the way to work and found the new Madine, AT-ST Han, General Colt 45, Dengar, Bossk, and Ozzel. They also had the new wave of LOTR figures. I'm not really into these but I must say that the King of the Dead is quite impressive. Also, there will be the annual GM Productions toy show at the Rodeway Inn at Grant & I-10 Sunday, May 2nd. I'm out.”

Sandtrooper Tyler with Canada's ...

“Hey Troopers, another report here from the Near North in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. After hitting Wal-Mart every day for over a month they at last got a case of figures. I picked up all 12 from the Yavin and Jabba's Palace wave assortment. All were tri-logo. I kept a set for myself and one of the kids we have in foster care took the doubles. I hope this is a sign of good things to come but I'm beginning to feel like ’The Chad’ here and getting doubtful. At this rate we have only been getting a case per month and it seems they've skipped the Tatooine wave. I don't think we'll see that wave here but only time will tell. Take care troops. Over and out from the Great White.”

“Wampa Cave” Diorama by ACPin:
Wampa Cave“The jagged face of a huge ice wall sits gloomily in the dim twilight of a Hoth day. Luke hangs upside down, ankles frozen into icy stalactites, his extended arms within a foot of the snow floor. The Wampa creature is in the ice cave eating what appears to be carrion. It turns in Luke's direction and growls, then continues its meal.” - ACPin

Sandtrooper “Trooper Larry” reports:
The Morning After“Hey Troops! Made a small run yesterday afternoon. Didn?t find a whole lot, but TRU had remnants of the Yavin wave, and the new Red Leader X-Wing. Some of the re-carded figures, but mostly Hoth wave. Also, was able to grab the Cobra infantry 6 pack from the Valor vs. Venom, Joe series. Wal-Mart was empty as usual, KB had 2002 figs, and Kmart had a few Dutch Vanders hanging around. That?s it for this report Troops, keep up the good fight.”

SNAG Trooper ESPN Eric reports:
Dateline: Faithful Troopers Have First Crack “Hello all. Well, like some of us, times can get tough and our beloved collections need to be sold. I would like no one other than the faithful Troopers of this site to have the first crack at the booty (pronounced ’boo - tay’). I have a ton of POTF2, POTJ, and Saga figures that I have not had time to put into a list yet. Let me know whether there is anything special you're looking for. I have some VERY recent waves on hand. I would prefer to sell a few at a time instead of one here and there. But here are a few things off the top of my head that I'm starting out with: Both animated figure waves $25. 12-inch Han and Tauntaun $30, 12-inch Darth Maul $10, 12-inch Luke Hoth $5, Hoth Stormtrooper $5. I should have a list going soon so let me know whether you're interested in seeing it and I'll put you on my e-mail list. Thanks everyone! God bless.

Dateline: First Coast Patrol (Jacksonville, FL) “Been awhile since I posted on a Star Wars note. Target on San Jose had the remnants of he Hall of Fame wave. I probably missed the rest by an hour by the looks of it as I saw stock boys out with stuff. Still looking for Throne Room Luke and Stormtrooper. Has anyone seen The Lord of the Rings RotK wave 2 yet? I am hoping to army-build that Faramir in Armor.”

That's why I say “Hey Man, Nice Shot”
With the Easter Holiday this past weekend, I took time to reflect on this great hobby of ours. For me, Easter is when my Star Wars collection began with Luke, Vader, 3-PO and R2. I’m sure my Mother wasn’t aiming to change my life forever. I found those four so great I had to have the whole collection. Going shopping was now music to my ears, stopping at Kmart before groceries could be so great. I hunted each one down, but back then it was a piece of cake. I still collect, but with a group of wonderful people who have my back. Scalpers can bend the cards, smash the bubbles, but one of you always reach out your hands. One helps out the other, gunning to take out the jag-bags who try to take the fun out of collecting. I’m not talking trash, enter the forums and hang around. Our friends at the Jawa have the exact same mission, only under a different garb. We will help you, and that you can bank on. Try to avoid guys like this who are looking for your ignorance. We call that a Power Sucka, guys like these should be avoided at all cost. If it sounds too good to be true, perhaps it is. Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to you great Troops in your searches. Kick A$% and take names!

Thanks to forum member Sandtrooper Pete Windu for this week's Power Sucka. Indeed Master Windu, what kind of auction is this?

Allentown Chase - End of the Line, Like Rippin' Up a Rag Doll:
Hi Troops! Here's the latest from a run to the north today in Whitehall, PA. I stopped in to Comic Masters in Whitehall Mall and found that the owner doesn't even carry any Star Wars items any more! What this store does offer is a load of G.I.Joe and Transformers new series and vintage comics and minibusts; this is one of the decent haunts in the Valley for Joe freaks. They had a Simpsons section but the figures there were all three to four series' back. I decided to hit Grape Street Toys R Us across the way and found they had reloaded, albeit with nothing anywhere near as effective as hollows. New to this store were four Red Leader X-Wing with rag doll droid and pilot Stephen Tyler, a case of compacted bubble Hall of Fame wave (unfortunately the Vader and Stormtrooper I would have bought were the only ones absent), six Unleashed Han Solo, and two or three cases of Ultra Jabba/Denizens/Jango/Obi cases. I asked whether there were any more clones to be had, and the answer was no. I noticed Transformers Hasbro Commemorative Dirge and reflected on paying $140 for the Takara Japanese Convention exclusive a couple years back; it was still worth it!

On to Lehigh Valley Mall where Suncoast now too had the same Ultra wave that was at TRU. Other than that there isn't much happening; both KBs (Lehigh Valley Mall and South Mall) have nothing new. I also found out today that # 14 in the Transformers Collection from Takara is a vintage remake of Hound. That's what I call “getting back to basics.” Now you finally have a toy you can pretend to project your holographic Star Wars figures with. BigBadToyStore has it up for pre-order for $33.95. Here's hoping # 15 in the series is either Mirage, Sunstreaker, Blitzwing, or a Dinobot like Grimlock who has marginally more intelligence than the scalpers in my area. I want to thank Troopette “What's Sandtroopers?” Dola for transporting El Generale despite the long distance and for putting up with a Level 5 Vegan. Thanks also to the Hardcore Troopers who stepped up to complete some fair and square trades, and even go so far as to hook up helmet-wearing brethren at cost plus shipping, United We Find!

Look, if you had one shot

Sandtrooper Tampa Bay James reports:
“Trooper James with a small toy run today in Tampa, Florida. I did manage to find a Dengar last week at the Target on 9th St in St. Pete but all the rest were gone. I also ordered 3 Silver Clones from TRU Online and got them on Saturday, they came in great shape, not mint but close. Today I went by the Wal-Mart on Dale Mabry in Carolwood and they had nothing except for 1 lightsaber. Kmart on Dale Mabry had the Captain Typho wave and some Obi-Wan and Mace Clone Wars with 1 Ultra Wampa. TRU on Dale Mabry had the new X-Wing and the cut out pilot and droid look real dumb. They had all the current Ultra figures and lots of the Aayla wave. Target on Dale Mabry and Gandy had Yoda and Padawans, Clone Cartoons minus Yoda and Clone, and the Maul and Obi-Wan cups. That's it for now. I will let you know if I find anything else.”

Sandtrooper Starfox reports:
From Arlen to MidlandDateline: Blink and You'll Miss it. Our Advice? Close Your Eyes! “Other news from Central Texas, Killeen that is. Okay, here we go ... Target still has Obi & Maul glasses, and a bunch of Animated figs waves 1 and 2, the Destroyer wave showed up Thursday and Friday, but went quickly. Wal-Mart is bone dry except for the 20 Zam Wesells from 2002 choking the pegs and the Jabba deluxe with the crushed bubbles. TRU actually had the new Red Leader X-Wing with the cardboard cut-outs (cheesy) and a bunch of the same pegwarmers from last year. They also had a bunch of old POTJ figs (Rebel Trooper, FX7) an Unleashed Han Solo, and the Ultra Deluxe Obi-wan Kamino Showdown. We did have the Silver Clone Troopers for a day for $4.99, but the cards were bent to heck or the bubbles were crushed beyond recognition, not a mint one in the bunch. I have given up on KB Toys, and in my first stop at Kmart in a few weeks, they actually had the Yavin wave, so I found a Tanus and a Holo Luke there. The HoF assortment showed up once and I blinked and missed it, oh well. Sorry it's been a while since I posted, but things have been hectic around here. I do want to give out a quick shout to Julian Betancourt for the great trade, because of Troopers like him and many other that I have met here, this site works for all of US, United we Find! That's all from Central Texas, Starfox signing out.”

Sandtrooper “Trooper Larry” reports:
One day the wind will come up, and you’ll come up empty again. And who̱ll be laughing then? You’ll come up empty again. So play the violins.Dateline: On the Ricochet “Hey Troops! Made a small run around Mentor, Ohio today. Went to TRU, and came up empty. They did have the new Red Leader X-Wing, but outta my budget right now. On my way back, I stopped off at Kmart, so I could get some milk. Much to my surprise, they actually had the Executor wave, along with remnants of the Yavin wave. Other than that, not much out there this week. Take care Troops.”

Sandtrooper Jedi Hawk reports:
Jedi Hawk’s Pro Scalper 4Dateline: Hunt 'em Down Like Mr. Heston “Central Texas Report: Well here goes the news from the humid land of Central Texas. I was surprised one morning last week, when I walked into my local Target to see none other than a case of the 2003 Repacks! Barriss, Aayla, Yoda and the kids were all staring back at me (from their golden cards) from pegs previously occupied by the illustrious Hoth Rebel Trooper (who is now just buried behind all the repacks). They had also put out a case of the Jabba's Palace wave, but someone had already gotten to the few good figs from that case. Luckily I am not in need of any of those figures. My TRU went through their supply of Silver Clones fairly quickly. The only problem: they were all bashed up. I went through the 2 cases that they had on Sunday and I was unable to find any that were not in some form of ’bubble dentedness.’ No Mint Clones. But they were all for sale at $4.99 ea. So I picked up the best two that I could find and slumped out of there. If anyone has an MOC ’Minty’ one they want to sell me for cost plus shipping, or, I have some stuff for trade, drop me a line. Also my TRU put out a case of the Han, Boba, and Yoda Unleashed wave. Like they needed that to clog the pegs. By the way, has anyone come across one of those Red Clones in the Unleashed line? I have been reading some reports that they may have shipped a variant out?

“Anyway, both of my Wal-Marts are full of older figures. One at least has 2004 product (wave 1 & 2), while the other has some nice dusty 2002 figures. I am not sure whether they will ever get that *$%# stuff out of there. So that about sums it up for last week. This weekend my TRU put out 4 of the new Red Leader X-Wing. Still not sure about that one. I think that the little cardboard pilot and driod are pretty lame. Just stick in a real droid Hasbro! The ship looks okay, but just the same mold as before. The Pilot figure is POTJ X-Wing Luke with a new head. Not too bad but not too good compared next to the new Dutch Vander. I am sure I will get one eventually, but I held off for the time being. Still have not seen any of the Target Glasses in my world. Well that sums up the latest news from this neck of the woods. Hunt'em down like Mr. Heston. I am also still looking for a Clone 3-pack with the red Trooper! Any help? Thanks!”

Sandtrooper Corporal Mike reports:
“Hey Troops, how are ya? I finally scored a silver Trooper after putting about 100 miles on my truck this past week. I got one at the Michigan City, Indiana TRU this morning. The card is nice but the bubble is a little dinged up, not bad. Every TRU I went to was out of silver Troopers. How many more they have in Michigan City, I don't know. The girl went to the manager's office to get one. I bought the Clone Wars Droid Army and Clone Trooper Army with yellow Trooper. If anyone is interested in either of these, I'm willing to trade. As for new figs in the stores, pretty much the usual: the Yavin wave and Star Destroyer wave. The TRU in Merriville, IN had the new X-wing and it looks like the last one that came out, so I passed on it. In the cockpit they put a cardboard cutout of the pilot and the droid socket had a cutout of its dome, really lame. Next month TRU is going to release a Darth Vader TIE Fighter. I don't have this one, so I hope they don't screw it up. SEMPER FI!”

Sandtrooper jor_supersid reports:
Dateline: Big Day in the Smallest State “Hey Troops, been a long while since posting. That's due to the fact that I have not found anything at all in months except for this great Trooper Bruce who hooked me up with Jabba's Palace wave and red ARC like 2 months ago. Well anyway, here is the rundown of my great day of finds.

“In North Attleboro, TRU had 4 of the silver Troopers for $4.99, all really dinged up. Nothing new at all but they had Clone Wars deluxe for $7.99! Geez, I could have saved on that one. Target had a mother load of figures, in fact the most I have seen in one place since i can remember. They had remnants of the Star Destroyer wave, Yavin wave, and Jabba wave with a bunch of repacks from the old Saga. They also had the Obi-Wan and Jango Fett repacks I've been looking for, Jabba wave of deluxe, a Geonosian fighter for $13.99 and the Saga Screen Scenes for $4.98! I was pissed on this one having spent over 80 on the set of four last Summer.

“In Emerald Square, the KB had a bunch of Saga Screen Scenes for $7.99 and the usaual peg warmers. Of note, they have a 20% off sale when you spend over 30 bucks. The Suncoast had the Obi-Wan and Jango Fett repacks for $13.99. The Wal-Mart had really nothing but a Holographic Luke, R1-G4, and a Hoth Luke. Real sad.

“Later I went to Providence Place Mall and the KB had a few Yavin wave, the ones i didn't find earlier, but for $6.99 I'm cool with that. The Newberries Comics had gotten in the Hall of Fame wave, one of each it seemed, but yet again for $7.99 I was willing to wait. So overall 65 bucks gone on plastic but well worth it! I have not seen a thing in months! I almost want to shed a tear of happiness. Well, until I find more junk, keep scout'n Troops!”

Clive Revill Must be Spinning in His Grave!
An old friendTrooper Whiskey Dom sent this in: “That top image is, supposedly, an actual shot of Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Palpatine, newly inserted into The Empire Strikes Back in place of the original actor (bottom image). The image at the top (at least the actual face shot of McDiarmid) reportedly leaked from someone involved with the production. Three different insiders have independently confirmed that the scene has changed and that the top image (of McDiarmid in make-up) is authentic. One other scene being revamped is the CGI Jabba scene from A New Hope. Look for the digital Jabba to be replaced by a much better looking CG version (likely based on the Episode I digital model of the character).”

This image has been circulating around the 'net for a few days. Clive Revill, who did the voice acting for the original Emperor in that scene, was also an Insecticon (Kickback in TF:TM), and voiced Shrapnel and Thundercracker.

Section Update - Images Reloaded:
Last summer I had a chance to meet the real General Madine. It was a delight to see Hasbro grant Mr. Crowley his wish and re-immortalize him once again in plastic. They also brought General Lando Calrissian back, but with a couple different sculpt modifications. Also for your viewing pleasure is Han Solo in AT-ST disguise. We do not recall seeing Han in this uniform but Hasbro will no doubt figure out a way to get another five dollars while they wrap up the remaining 2004 Hasbro Figures. Thanks to General Jason for the never-ending assistance and Alliance Collectibles for the figures! Click on any thumbnail image below to enter the Gallery.

Sandtrooper Mike in Joliet reports:
Dateline: Outland Rogers Disguise “Trooper Mike here with the lowdown from Joliet, Illinois. Target has not had anything lately other than the cartoon figures and all Wal-Mart has had this week is the Ultra figures. Toys R Us was Good to me today though. I picked up a much desired clone trooper three pack(Yellow) the only one i did not have, they also got in Red Leaders X-Wing. I agree with Jim's comments from his report; it does look like the previous X-Wing, just repackaged, and the pilot looks like Mr. Rogers! I still was able to convince myself to buy one and get two more clone troopers (smashed of course!!) free.”

Sandtrooper Shahbaz reports:
“Trooper Shahbaz here, it sounds like every TRU here in So Cal is doing something different with their Clone Troopers. The TRU in Monrovia had two full boxes and they have been giving them out free with a $15 purchase, no limit. I’m not sure whether they have any more. However, I just got back from the TRU in Glendale, and they are giving them out with a $15 purchase and selling them for $4.99. Either way you go, there is no limit. The funny thing is, I went to purchase three Clone Troopers, and they gave me another for free! I know for sure that they had a bunch more left if you’re still looking. I do have one extra, MOMC, which I would be willing to trade. I am still looking for the McQuarrie Stormtrooper, C3PO - Tatooine Ambush, Tanus Spijek from Jabba’s Palace, among others. Happy Hunting.”

Sandtrooper S.M. Watson reports:
Dateline: A Get Well Message “So Cal's S.M. Watson back to wish Bobafred a speedy recovery. I myself, while still living in NYC (Manhattan), had an accident back in 1999 just after the release of the awesome entry of the Star Wars series, The Phantom Menace. And no, I'm not being facetious; I loved it: Jake Lloyd, Jar Jar and all. It's all about keeping the inner child alive. The inner child is keeping you sane now, Bobafred. As for me, I'm proud to say I'm enjoying the new Trilogy as much as I did seeing the originals in the theater when I was a boy. But back to Bobafred's 'lettal bitty axadente.' I'm sorry to hear 'yud-say boom da gasser, un crash Der Bosses heyblibber.' I luckily recovered from my crash (I was in the back seat though) and had less stitches than you report getting, but it was an emotionally grueling experience, even more so than physically. I want you to know all the Troopers here surely hope you feel Jedi-esque again soon, as we send midi-chlorian filled prayers your way. Look into legal recourse, if the fault was not yours of course. I did, and in turn recently received a settlement because of my quick action. I believe you need to do this in the first three months of the situation's occurrence. Let me know whether you need a lawyer, as my guy is now in a private practice, aside from his work with the firm that helped me. The Force will be with you ... always. Elementary.” - Your Dear Watson

Sandtrooper Tyler with Canada's ...
Somewhere out there

“Hey Troopers, nothing new to report here in the Great White North (North Bay, Ontario, Canada). All I have seen here since the beginning of the year is two cases of the Hoth assortment, a case of HoF, and a case of the Ultra Wampa assortment. There have been 2 separate reports of the Yavin / Jabba assortment showing up. One was in Toronto and the other somewhere in British Columbia.

“I did get issue # 75 of the
Insider in the mail the other day along with my membership kit (finally). What a joke that is! They sent a welcome letter from George Lucas and the Fan Club President, a coupon good for $2 off a book order, a WotC trading card game poster, Lego poster, Code 3 Collectibles poster, a two-sided paper diorama background from Hasbro, a membership card, and an animated cel of the 1985 Ewoks cartoon series. Now, the cel might have been cool if it actually looked like something from the cartoon, but all mine appears to be is a bunch of scribbles? From what I can tell it may represent clouds. The only cool thing is the membership card which is plastic and has Vader on the front of it. Everything else is just advertising in my book. What a shame. So much for the Star Wars standee they advertised when I ordered my membership.

I also need some help with my collection. If anyone has, or can get me, a set of the last wave of Clone Wars figures (Saesee Tiin, Kit Fisto and super articulated Clone Trooper in both poses), I'd appreciate it. I have never seen them available in Canada, nor has my friend in the US who collects for me. Thanks troopers. Take care. Over and out from the Great White North.”

Sandtrooper Jimsjedi reports:
... and knowing is half the battle. “ What's up everyone? All of the Silver Clonetroopers I have come across have been sat on by Jabba himself. I am looking for a MOC one. Please let me know what you are looking for in trade. I have come across the Yavin / Star Destroyer wave here and there, and found the new Red 5 X-Wing ($29.99) at the Bellingham, MA TRU this morning. I passed on it for now, but might pick it up down the road. Looks similar to the Dagaobah X-Wing. The pilot is very basic looking, and was surprised that an R2 unit wasn't included.”

Sandtrooper Bobafred with the San Fernando Valley Edition™:
Gear Up and Flame OnDateline: Left For Dead “Bobafred chiming in from the S.F.V. and hearing a whole lotta hoop-la going on! Don't need any sympathy jingles but here it is. Over the weekend I was in a pretty bad auto accident suffering from full on head contusions to the left and to the right. Sixteen sutures or stitches, and 13 staples to build me stronger than ever! Wow! Life really is so precious. The cure? A whole lotta ice packing, Antis, Vicodine, five-leaf clovers. and on the road to recovery I am! Left for dead I was, but determination fights strong with my blood line even if I dropped about a gallon (kid you not)! On to the brighter side, I have to agree with Darth Dallas on these re-hashes and really nice sculpts. Figure it out soon, or forever loose your prospective new booty. I practice a whole lot of patience on this end of the Nation, but others really don't like to invest in 20 versions of rehashes. Big H can you hear us talking / venting? I still have no sign or traces of wave six or seven of the Ozzel & AT-ST Han Wave ... but patience is my virtue!

“Elementary never held grain to my attention, so off I was at the age of six, to White Front Zodys, Gemco, and Two Guys for the latest action figure to be broken free! Gifted I was, as well as crafty for these escapes. So Mr. Watson let us one up it! If you troops have not figured it out here it goes. If you have any receipts back-dated 30 days form today you may take it in for a free clone (credit adjustment, exchange, repurchase), whatever floats their boat, but we all are due some freebies! If you purchase three you get one free for a total of four. Elementary, my Dear Watson. I purchased $29.99 of SW product to get two free clones on the same receipt (computer has no limits)!

“I did not make it on Sunday due to severe head trauma on Saturday night but was up and at 'em first thing Monday morning to hit 5 Toys R Us in the Valleys.
Homer Simpson isn't the half of it! I could not believe management was never informed of this really non-advertised promotion; they could sure as hell sell them like hot cakes on Friday only to be out of stock by Monday? Bull! So I eventually exhausted all forms of mind tricks until I finally hit pay dirt! A fresh super case was found and brought to my little section in the store where I pulled every figure out and found, most importantly, nice paint jobs, no runs or head wounds, untouched or crushed bubbles, and most obviously c9-10 cards! Wow! I had the pick of the litter and now have a Platinum Clone army to go along with my Platinum Mandolorian army. Eye popping freaky, you just better not even think about it. Is it Boba or Grievous that does the Jedi dirty with Ani or do we just wait?

“I come home with bountiful of plenty only to find my Marvel Legends Unmasked Wolverine waiting for some attention, straight from New Orleans! I just about forgot about this trade, but a big shout out to
Sandtrooper Aaron Thompson for the hook up! Your Mr. So Cool (i.e. Sacul) is Airborne via U.S.P.M. (It really hurt, you know!)! If any one is interested in a minty mint Clone please see prior post and give me a jingle at orozco91331@yahoo.com. Bobafred signing out!”

Remember the “Crashed” series of vehicles from 2002, The AT-ST, TIE Bomber, and Snowspeeder? We need to add “Bobafred's Speeder - Includes 13 Staples!” to the line. We're glad you're okay; we just hope you weren't cut off by a scalper on the way to a SoCali TRU!

Enter: Darth Shredder
Oroku Saki“Hey Jason. Tucson here. Can you tell the Allentown Chase team that I have the Darth Shredder with removable helmet they are looking for. Thanks.”

Thanks for the proactive Troopin' Tucson! I did manage to get the removable helmet Shredder that I wanted yesterday at Toys R Us; I truly appreciate the help though! Many TMNT fans are naming this their favorite figure in the entire new line. A little background on the Allentown Chase Team: during 2001 and 2002, Trooper Lex-Wan Kenobi swept the Lehigh Valley in a take-no-prisoners approach, getting new Star Wars, locating variants, and finding Simpsons, Transformers R.I.D. and just about everything else out there. When I moved to Allentown, the Chase Team essentially became me, The J-Team!

Sandtrooper Dennis Reports:
“I went to the TRU in Gurnee, IL today and they had the Silver Clone Troopers on the pegs. Like in the previous reports, all the bubbles were smashed. All the other stores in the Gurnee area had empty pegs except for Ultra figs & Animated Clone Wars figs.”

Thanks for the update Dennis, it is terrible to see what goes down in my own backyard. Desperate times call for drastic measures.

Good for shoving up the tailpipe of an enemy’s vehicle“Sithryan out in Idaho here! Wanted to shoot you an e-mail and let you know about an item on ebay. It's a mint condition R2-D2 cooler from Pepsi. I won a Boba Fett auction he had recently (vintage AFA 85) SWEEEET! I thought I'd pass along that this guy is alright even though he is a new seller. I found the vintage Boba on a Force of the Bay, maybe I could return a favor. I bought a Silver Clone trooper today for $4.99. The manager showed up and put a stop to the selling of the clones though. I got a mint one so I'm happy.”

Thanks Ryan, and be sure to let us know if you ever catch the other spectrum of events on the bay, say were one to get shafted! We like hearing the success stories a little more.

Sandtrooper SoCal Dude reports:
Current Alhambra, CA temperature: 71 degrees FahrenheitDateline: Scout All TRUs in Your Area “Greetings from an overcast SoCal! Dropped by the Rowland Hts. / City of Industry TRU after lunch today hoping to find the Silver Clone Trooper on the pegs and my patience has paid off! There was a limit of 2 per person, but luckily my wife was with me and we purchased 4 of them. Two for friends, one to keep and one to trade with you other Troopers who weren't or aren't lucky enough to snag one. I'd say there were at least 8 pegs full of 'em at this TRU unlike the TRU by my crib in Alhambra where that place is as dry as the Sahara Desert! Quick note to Sandtroppette Lisette in NYC: thanks for trying to get me these Clone Troopers, but as you can tell I got lucky today! Good luck on your future hunts!

“To recap, scout all local TRUs in your area and remember to stay on target and stay focused Troops... there's gold in them thar hills! Be good to each other and take care... that's it from the Left Coast, Peace, OUT!”

Sandtrooper Darth-Dallas Reports: Long-Range S.C.A.L.P. Mission!
“Troops, I tried several stores today and didn't secure too much bounty but I did find Dengar! The Target on Sample Rd in Coral Springs had nothing but a Hoth Luke hanging and the collector cups: Maul and Obi-Wan. Across the street at the Super Wal-Mart there were a few R2-D2 (Jabba's Sail Barge), Hoth Troopers and one Dengar. Dengar came home with me even though the bubble was smashed. I knew right away this was an opener. Wow, what a fig. I tell you, it honestly is a great fig. I should start my own column and call it ’Dallas Opened It.’ The reason I say this is because for me to open a fig, it has to be great. Let's face facts. I bet anyone out there who has opened a Hoth Trooper is asking themselves why, why did I do that? What a piece of junk! If Hasbro can make a fig like Dengar, how did the Hoth Trooper make it into production? If Hasbro is reading this I have some advice for you: Find out who approved the Hoth Trooper and fire his or her butt first thing tomorrow morning. While you're at it, give the person who designed this Dengar a pay raise and give them the Episode III preview figs to work on, as well as anything else that comes to mind! Sorry Troops, had to vent.

“I ran up to the Toys R Us in Coral Springs, FL (Atlantic / University) again on my way to the store and saw the Silver Clones still for sale. Get this: they also had pegs full of the Silver R2-D2 for sale ($4.99). I then decided to do my grocery shopping (Beer and Steaks) at the Super Target on University and Commercial because they have figs and it's my job to figure out an excuse to go find them! Lo and behold, they actually had new figs! Sort of new, the Hall of Fame assortment. I picked up two MOMC Stormtroopers, one MOMC R2-D2 Tatooine Mission, and one MOMC C-3PO Death Star Rescue. They had the other HoF figs there but I left them alone. I just couldn't leave the R2 and 3PO there. I already have them, but they looked so good on the new cards. I left Leia, Solo, etc. I did learn a lesson which I already knew (veteran). They had Death Star Clash Vader x2, Darth Maul x2, all 4 MOMC! These are the same figs I thought I would never see on Saga cards! I bought them on ebay for over $13 each. I knew I should have waited. Now I hope the troops learned a valuable lesson too.

“This is why I ask all of you in all my e-mails whether anyone out there needs anything. I could have hooked someone up tonight if you would have sent me a BOLO list! Troops let me know; I am always looking. I left Silver R2s, Clonetroopers, DS Clash Vader, Maul, a Stormtrooper all on the pegs tonight. They could have been yours! Yes you! Ok, time to cook out! Did I mention Spice was the man? I was talking to S. Sansweet the other day and he said he was worried that Spice would pass him one day on the collector scale! Go get him Spice!”

Thanks for the kind words DD, but my collection is but a pubic hair on the urinal of Steve's collection!

The First Lady of Sandtroopers.com“Hey Troops, Donna from So Cal here. Have not been able to do any hunting lately because I badly sprained my knee three weeks ago and am on crutches. Luckily, my other half has picked up the slack for me. He was able to score 3 silver clones at TRU for $4.99 each. Also at Target, he found the Yavin wave and Star Destroyer wave, but all of the Bossks and Dengars had bent cards. He was able to score a mint Admiral Ozzel. Now I need some help. Have not be able to locate both J'Quille and Tanus Spijek. Willing to pay cost plus shipping or have the following to trade: Dodonna, Gold Leader, TIE Fighter Pilot, R1-G4, Target A-wing, Stormtrooper 4-pack, and silver clone (one bent corner), Please e-mail me if you can help. Happy Hunting!!!”

VA Beach“Leif from VaBeach, VA. The Star Destroyer wave has hit area Wal-Marts, and of course plenty of Silver Clones to go around; the only problems seem to have been uninformed Toys R Us Employees, and nothing really new or current except for the Luke, Chewbacca and Clone Trooper Unleashed waves. On another note, area Kmarts are having 20% Off all Lego sets, In stock were the Snowspeeder and Cantina sets, $19.99 and $29.99 before the discounts. Northern Alabama Mayhem“Hey guys, I found the silver Clones at TRU today. They had a bunch left from the sale yesterday. TRU had nothing for me to buy to get the clone, which was ok since the majority of them were bent and dented. I ordered one from Amazon.com. I will have to see how that one will look. I also found a lone Ozzel setting on the pegs at Wal-Mart. Nothing else to report. Take care.”

Allentown Chase - One Shot is Not Enough, You Need at Least an MG-34 to Move Me!
Hi Troops! I headed north today to Whitehall, PA to pay an overdue visit to Grape Street Toys R Us and some of the other Lehigh Valley haunts for Star Wars and some other lines. Under sunny skies, and powered by the wind at my back, the first stop was Mickley and MacArthur Road Wal-Mart where the scene was sad indeed with 3 brown coat Hoth Han, 2 Aayla Secura, and a 2002 Chancellor Palpatine in the eight peg Star Wars section. On the hunt for a TMNT Shredder with removable helmet, I had some hope as I saw the top shelf simply bristling with case upon case of 2004 TMNT. Instead of climbing the fixtures (which in retrospect I should have done) I enlisted the help of a crackhead girl Associate there who herself ended up abandoning the idea of procuring a ladder and herself climbed the bare shelves to the top (after taking her arm and sweeping all the toys off and onto the floor). She took a furtive glance and surmised they were all just the four Turtles. I left pretty quick and rode to Grape St TRU.

The Star Wars section there was almost as pathetic as Wal-Mart's selection, with 5 Ultra Rieekan, 1 Ultra Pod People, 1 each Jabba and Denizens, an Unleashed Padme, 3 Unleashed Han, 2 Secret Ceremony Anakin, 2 Sneak Preview Zams, 4 PotJ Zutton (late issue mustard skin version), 3 Action Fleet Solar Sailor, a few lightsabers, and dozens of 12-inch figures. I found the Armorized Shredder with Oroku Saki head and left the Foot Gunner and Nanobot Monster (though the Monster was slick), but the Tech Foot Ninja wasn't there. This Shredder is to TMNT fans what the Vader with removable helmet was to us back in 1998. This fig rocks with removable vac-metallized armor and removable helmet. Many of you know I am a Takara Transformer purist, but I also picked up Hasbro Commemorative Series V Hoist, and Series VI Grapple. The Hasbro versions are nice when Takara has yet to make that character you must have, albiet they lack spring-firing missile mechanisms and sometimes have modified missiles or bombs. These were $29.99 each, but you get $10 off the purchase of two. I ended up grabbing doubles of Jabba and "Dennies" to reach the Clone quota. I asked whether they still had the promo figure and I was presented with my Clone at the checkout by a young lady named Vanessa who was very nice and even suggested I call during the week to check on any Simpsons WoS stuff. Continued to the next stop ...

The luxurious Lehigh Valley Mall across the street. KB in the Mall basically had the same stock as South Mall store, but had Action Fleet Solar Sailors, Naboo Fighters, and AT-TE's, and as Trooper Songwrtr reported in Ithaca, NY, a salvo of Playskool in your face. CVS used to have Star Wars but only had "micro-package" G.I.Joe and Transformers R.I.D. minicars with tins, so I ended up just getting a TMNT wristwatch. Suncoast had the .45 Master Replicas that Trooper Larry got as a gift from his Troopette; they also had 25% off of 2 Destroyer Droid Battle Launchers and 2 Ben Stein's Clear Eyes Clone Trooper with Speederbike. In a strange twist, they happened to be showing A New Hope on the in-store closed-circuit. As soon as Luke went under the filthy water I called it a day at LVM.

South of Heaven back in South Allentown, S 4th St Big Kmart had a few wave 2 Clone Wars left, and South Crown Mall had nothing new whatsoever at that Mall's KB. Ran into Agent Ramone (Outland Nelly Disguise) and headed back to the secret lair. At the end of the day, a MOMC Silver Clone was the Bounty. Going out with a bang, Begin Today!

Sandtrooper S.M. Watson reports:
Dateline: Getting the Toys through Syntax and Symantics “Hey there boys & girls, just a quick note from the Southern, CA Los Angeles area. S.M. Watson here again, wanting to let all of you Troopers and TroopFetts (heh heh) know that if you are crafty enough to pick up the TRU flyer that advertises the 'spend $14.99 and get a free Silver Clone' promotion, it says NOTHING about the $14.99 spent having to be on Hasbro items. That means it's a general Star Wars purchase free for all. As in, by any Star Wars related item totaling $14.99, get the free Trooper... period. Game Boy Advance 'Flight Of The Falcon' sound good to anyone? For that matter, make it a Star Wars board game, or anything people, ANYTHING!! This was a major text clarity screw up, seemingly at the corporate level, so take advantage of it, especially if your TRU is anything like mine and is not offering any new Hasbro waves. Why purchase doubles you may not need, when you can get other cool Star Wars items you may have been holding out on? Just talk to a manager if necessary. It's in black and white, or rather not in black and white, in the flyer. My TRU said they had to honor the offer, without it being Hasbro related sales, because it didn't specify Hasbro figure items only. Fight for your right to Clone and be cloned. That's it from the left coast, signing off.” - Elementary, Your Dear Watson

Sandtrooper Sand Francisco Tim with a TRU Follow-Up:
Bay Area report live from Sin CityDateline: TRU's Newest Recruit “Hey Troops, follow up from yesterday's find at the Hayward TRU. I ventured to the Colma and SF TRU and found nothing. Colma had no notice at all telling customers that if they purchased $14.99 or more they could get the fig for free. I even walked behind the registers and saw no boxes at all. I then went to the SF store which had the promotion advertised on the pegs. However when I made my purchase I was told that they did not receive their supply so I asked for a rain check. The person behind the counter had no clue as to what I was asking for and the promotion it pertained to. Did you ever have the feeling that the person you are talking to is pulling a Homer Simpson and is concentrating more on the farm animals dancing in his or her head than paying attention to you? This was my feeling. In any case she took my information and told me I would receive a call once they came in. Yeah, yeah I’m holding my breath. Lucky for me I found them yesterday because today I would have been T.S.O.L. I’m also reading the other reports coming in saying how badly the figs are being damaged and agree with the Trooper who stated that TRU should take more control on this and keep them where they are distributed by the staff. It’s the least they could do. Good luck on your hunt troops.!”

That is thirty bucks each item if you only want one of the three. This may seem high, but they are only released for this event and have a limited production number in the neighborhood of 700-900 (actual number not yet released by Mastercollector, the host).

Sandtrooper “Trooper Larry” reports:
Java the HuttDateline: This is Where it Gets Fun “Hey Troops! Trooper Larry reporting in from the Mentor, Ohio front. Well, I figured I'd start today's adventure off at TRU, and boy did it turn into an adventure. TRU didn’t have much past the Hoth wave, a few gunships, and many Jedi 4-packs. This is where it gets fun. They had the Silver Clones, but they were still on the truck. So I had to stop back in later. Although I left my phone number, I stopped back around 5 pm to find the Clones were on the pegs. I encountered the same problem as Agent Tweeny. Most of them were pretty badly crushed. On to Wally World in Eastlake. Nothing. Target in Eastlake was the same. A few repro glasses, and a couple animated figs. Wally World in Mentor was empty, along with Kmart and KB. On a side note, I want to thank my wonderful fiance for getting me the .45 scale replica Luke lightsaber as an early Easter gift. Not a bad price for 34 dollars at suncoast. That’s it for this report. Take care Troops.”

Area Report For Wausau, Wisconsin:
I hit up all the major stores in my area today, and here's what I found:

Wal-Mart: had the Hoth wave still hanging, and one lone Captain Antilles.

Target: had Ultra Jabbas, and the Kamino Ultras with Jango and Obi-Wan in the new packaging. They also had the Darth Maul and Obi-Wan cups, and Clone Wars Cartoon series one figures still hanging. They had one regular figure on the pegs, and that was Lando. Target also had some Geonosian Fighters, and Anakin Star Fighters on sale for $13.98.

Shop-Ko: has Elan, Obi-Wan, and corrected chopping Lukes still hanging. The figures are $7.68 a piece. I wonder whether that has something to do with it? I also saw that they still had the Deluxe Jango and Obi-Wans in the first packaging still hanging. These have been there for months now. Again with a $13.00 price tag, I can understand why.

KB Toys: closed down. I hate when any toy store goes under. That's all from the Northwoods of Wisconsin, good luck in your neck of the woods.

Sandtrooper Darth-Dallas Reports: Back to Active Duty!
“I took a trip to the Toys R Us in Coral Springs, FL (Atlantic / University) to hunt down some mint Silver Clonetroopers and they were awaiting my arrival as soon as I entered the store. Today they had a display set up near the front door. Thank God I didn't have to buy anything to receive the Silver fig(s). Toys R Us once again had nothing but Achk Med-Beqs on the pegs. The clones were plentiful but 80% of them looked like they were not going home with a collector. I always check the top row being that I am six-foot-six; BINGO two mint ones were found. I actually brought two star cases inside with me! Is that bad? I was happy to have found them. I actually can't find a thing wrong with them. I can now scratch that off my ’Saga to do list.’ I did venture down to the Toys R Us in Plantation, FL (Broward Blvd) and found the Clones in the normal Star wars section and all 30 of them were smashed Beyond Belief. They were lying on the floor, shelves, etc. I just don't understand! Well, I hope everyone had a great weekend. Let me know what you need troops. I look daily. 2004 Dallas Cowboys Football!”

Sandtrooper Jedi Dom in the Woods of Wisconsin reports:
Dateline: Fruitful Hunting  “Hi Troops, hope your Silver Clone hunting was fruitful. Mine was. I had planned on buying the Jedi re-pack but instead was able to pick up a holo-Luke, Rapper-frog, and the ellusive T. Spijek (only one they had). The house of the hairy giraffe also had lots of J. Dodonnas, Capt. Antilles, TIE pilots, and Dutches along with Ultra Jabbas, Wampas, and Court Dennies, plus a slew of the dignitary wave figs. I also have some Trilogy DVD news (this from thedigitalbits.com):

’Disc One of the 4-disc set will include Star Wars IV: A New Hope with audio commentary by creator/director George Lucas, Ben Burtt, Dennis Muren, and Carrie Fisher. Disc Two will feature Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back with audio commentary by creator/producer George Lucas, director Irvin Kershner, Lawrence Kasdan, Ben Burtt, Dennis Muren and Carrie Fisher. Disc Three will include Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi with audio commentary by creator/producer George Lucas, Lawrence Kasdan, Ben Burtt, Dennis Muren, and Carrie Fisher. And Disc Four will include "the most comprehensive feature-length documentary ever produced on the Star Wars saga; and never-before-seen footage from the making of all three films, and much more." We've got a list of what may be actual supplements on the set's 4th disc, which will contain all of the bonus material. According to the listing for the title on the Best Buy.com website, Disc Four will contain the feature-length Star Wars: The Independent Films documentary, 3 production featurettes (including The Evolution of Characters, The Influence of Star Wars and Lightsabers/Fights), a vintage 1977 "making of" featurette, a comprehensive gallery of posters and production artwork and the Star Wars: Battlefront Xbox videogame demo. Depending on which version of the set you buy, you'll get the films in either anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1) or cropped full frame (both THX certified), with audio in English Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and Dolby 2.0 Surround, as well as Spanish and French Dolby 2.0 Surround, and English subtitles.’

“That's all from East Central Wisconsin.”

Agent Tweeny Reports:
“Hey Troops, upon hot tips from Sandtroopers.com I decided to hit the road today and see what I could turn up. I found many of the old Screen Scenes at the KB in Vernon Hills, IL for $6.99! The TRU in this area was already clear of Silver Clones. What happend to the spend $20 to get one? Having them at a free-for-all puts collectors at a disadvantage. Take the example I found today at Gurnee, IL TRU. Someone with an extreme void in the middle of their jeans decided to push ALL 8 pegs back and crush every bubble leaving NOT one for the taking. This is why TRU should care more about the way they distribute an 'exclusive' figure. You would also think they would have increased their stock, knowing Star Wars collectors would be all over their stores this week. Once again Geoffrey Giraffe stepped in it. Why didn't they just distribute just like the Silver R2? Leaving them out to the masses creates nothing but problems! I am glad I have friends at Sandtroopers.com to help me get what I need. Take care Troops! I'll report back in a hot one.”

Sandtrooper Songwrtr reports:
“Here's a small area report. Took a trip down to the Elmira, NY area for the Silver Clonetrooper giveaway. Mostly older stock at TRU, but they did have the freebie (not many left on the peg) and I used it as an excuse to pick up the Jedi 4-pack that I'd been holding off on. They still have about a dozen pegs full of Jango Pilot figures. The most recent items they had were a couple of Imperial Dignitary Figures (Kren Blista Vanee), Unleashed Han, and Ultra Rieekan. On to KB which still has later 2002 figures on the pegs. They did have the Jedi Council and Geonosian War Room Cinema Scenes on clearance too, the TIE and Gamorrean exclusives, and a full range of Playskool items. Wal-Mart had three empty pegs, and K-Mart had a few Clone Wars Obi-Wans, Droid Launchers, and a lone Jabba Ultra. No changes to report in Ithaca. Target stock doesn't appear to have changed in weeks and K-Mart stock doesn't appear to have changed in years (see my report from April 1 for details). At least I beat the snow home. Yeah, April 4 and they're calling for up to 4 inches. Maybe it's time for a Hoth diorama ...”

Bay Area report live from Sin CityDateline: Silver Clone Follow-Up “Hey Troops, in part of my travels to the Easy Bay today I stopped by the TRU in Hayward and found four pegs full of Silver Clone Troopers! The not so good news is most of them either have a dented bubble or bent card. I had to rummage a bit to look for the best ones. I also stopped at the Foster City / San Mateo TRU but none were out. That’s it for now, MTFWY!”

Silver Clone Trooper: Filling Up the Pegs Like a Martha Stewart Clearance Sale!
Reports are coming in of the Silver Clone Trooper being available with no purchase! I just returned from several area stores and they were all over the place. The Exclusive does not quite live up to that billing! I also received my order today via Amazon.com and once again they proved not to be very collector friendly. I did get a pretty decent one out of the three I ordered! The fact that they appeared to have made plenty to go around is good. While the figure may not hold as much cash value, it insures everyone who wants one will get one! Gentle Giant may want to take notes. Go get em' Troops, and send in your Silver Clone findings in your area, we'd love to hear! Kick A#% and take Clones!

Gear Up and Flame OnDateline: Early Bird Special - Silver Clones Have Landed “Bobafred chiming in from the S.F.V. Silver Clone in hands for Freeeeeeee! Troops, hit your TRUs now, because they are trying to sell an exclusive figure that is not intended for retail sale at 4.99 (it is as clear as day on the back of the card!)! With this info you can have them honor the current April 4th promotion of a free figure with purchase of $14.99 as an early bird special (Talk to the MANAGER ONLY!)! Schmooze to the Dark side, $4-5.99 out the pocket, or for free as intended, whatever works for you!

“On a lighter note away from our SW universe, I am currently scrambling around to build my Marvel Legends Collection and looking for assistance in doing so. If any one has the following pieces: Dr. Doom, Spider Man, Black suit Spider man, Insect Spidy, Venom, Namor the Sub-Mariner, Toad, Wal-Mart excl. stealth Iron Man. In Variants: Yellow Daredevil, Thing with coat. A Funny coincidence is I post my request for an Apocalypse on Sandtroopers.com and next thing I know is that he is confirmed in Marvel Legends wave 7! I said it first. In order to stay hip to the game you need to have or find a little ingenuity. What was the hit count for this site again?

“In Star Wars Unleashed on card, I need Slave Leia, Count Dooku, Luke, Anakin, Obi, Mace, Padme, Darth Vader 1st issue (or even a Toy Fair Vader, most elusive Bounty 4 me). Can you hear me yapping Bruce? In 12-inch: Episode I Black Travel Gown Queen Doll, Boss Nass, and Plo Koon. I'm hoping that
Trooper Whiskey Dom can help me out on this line since we are avid 12-inchers! I also pulled today a 12-inch Biker scout, so if any one can assist a trooper in dire need of these pieces, and you're looking to trade, sell, or barter, schmooze me over and give me a jingle at orozco91331@yahoo.com.

“Things for trade are the following: Original Cinema shots booklet with 16 12 x 8 full color Photos, all black w gold embossed lettering cover (see RTT post below for further info).
Jason, I am glad to hear you like it, because you deserve it! Also for trade: MacFarlane Carmelo Anthony variant, The Chosen One Lebron James variant, Yao Ming variant, TB Hulk Abomination (#1 non-chase fig TFM), TB X-Men Arch Angel. In Die cast Hot Wheels: last convention exclusive Hot Pink Beach Bomb, Large scale Batmobile, Treasure Hunt 2003 Orange Cudas, 2004 #1 Purp Bonneville, # 3 Cadillac or Orange Cruz bike. In SW 12-inch: Cone Head (u-member), Leia on speeder bike, Biker Scout, KB 2-pack Han & Luke Stormtrooper disguise, and any of the boxed flaps 95-97 issues. Vehicles: Green A-wing Fighters with figure, possible B-Wing with figure, 94-95 POTF Classic four pack with vintage reproduction of Darth Vader, Luke, Han, and Chewie (sorry
Sandtroopette Donna, out of courtesy I will be careful with this one because you still own first dibs!), and any of the 3 ? inch figs you need. If you have my needs, don't hesitate to respond; we will work something out!

“Dallas Buster ... Keyshawn Johnson would have fit in Silver and Black, but hey Warren Sapp is our Silver Back! Darth Raider is strong with the Force! Cant wait 'til August, but the Los Angeles Lakers should stretch us over (undefeated throughout, any takers?). Talk to you Troopers soon! Bobafred chiming out!”

Thanks for the SoCali TRU update Fred, and I'd also like to thank you once again for submitting the Cinema shots booklet. Gear up and Troop on!

Sandtrooper OKC reports:
“Well I just got my Fan Club packet. Kudos for the animation cell even if it wasn't in my envelope. But what is with the posters? I'm, well let's say, in my late 30's. Do I need these? How about the ability to purchase figures, for club members only? I know the new vintage figures are never going to hit the pegs and with gas prices going up. I have seen Cartoon waves 1 & 2 starting to be peg warmers, but nothing else at Target, and forget Wal-Mart. I have also spotted the unleashed Yoda and Boba, but money has been tight, thanks to a new kitchen, so I'm holding out for OTC Vader and Boba. But I can keep an eye and pick some things up for someone if you want. On another note, I am glad the DVDs are coming, but give me the option between the original and the Special Edition. I hate the sequence when Vader goes to his Star Destroyer in Empire, and the musical number in Jedi; what is up with that?? And the Jabba in A New Hope? Am I the only one who thinks that looks cheesy? I really am a fan but lately don't feel like we are treated right.” - Kevin Clark

Sandtrooper Scott J. reports:
“Hello Troopers, I have been seeing Star Wars items going on clearance at area Target stores. This might be a good time to get Vehicles, etc. I was able to get the Hailfire Droid, Geonosian Starfighter, and Anakin's Jedi Starfighter for $11.98 each. On another note, does anyone still need R1-G4? I have a couple extra. These were apparently scarce in some parts of the country. Also wondering whether anyone had any luck getting the Silver Clonetrooper online. I saw the post early and they were still sold out or not available. Like others, with this kind of a promotion, I find it hard to believe they even had a decent number to offer. Anyway, the newer waves have been a little slow getting to the stores here in Southeast Michigan.”

Sandtrooper Songwrtr reports:
Dateline: The Death of Sandtroopers “Okay. You had me for a split second. Until I remembered the identical notice about Artoosnews (sparked by the mention of Master Yoda) and checked the time / date stamp. Here's to many more years of scraping scalper remains off our boots.

“Nothing at all to report in Ithaca, New York. Aside from Wave 2 of the Animated Clone Wars figures, Target hasn't had anything new since early January. Kmart had a case of Hall of Fame to hide their three cases of Mace Windu Geonosian Rescue figures on the pegs, but now Mace is alone with himself again. I'm considering finding someone to just buy my whole collection off of me and regaining about 1000 sqare feet (not an April Fools thing at all). This time the impetus is to build up funds for my next recording project, as well as a general drop in my passion for the collection that I can't really explain. Oh well, I'll probably head to the Elmira TRU on Sunday to pick up the Silver Clone Trooper, despite my thoughts of stopping. Once an addict ...”

Thanks vigilante Trooper! Okay, joke's over guys, but for those of you who missed it, read this. I also felt nostalgic and dug out last year's April Fools' obligatory entry. Once an addict ...

Sandtrooper Veteran Darth-Dallas Reports:
“Troops, I ventured in the Toys R Us off of Atlantic and University in Coral Springs, Florida and found the usual crap! So why am I writing this. They actually had a peg that was labeled ($4.97) for the Silver Clone Trooper! There were three left and they obviously were picked through because the ones left were not in the best of shape but they did have them out for sale. I am going to check back tomorrow for more. Let me know troops and I will see what I can do. Not a bad deal for $4.97! Take Care!”

Great to hear from you DD, been a while. It is nice to see Keyshawn Johnson was enough of a smelling salt to restore you to active duty! I was about to call in the S.C.A.L.P. Reserves! So whether you are an old Pro like this guy or a new recruit, we want to hear from YOU! Begin today.
