Sandtrooper Darth Vegas Reports:
If you roll with ST, you're guaranteed 7 or 11 EVERYTIME!“Hey Troopers, Darth Vegas reporting in. The western sector finally paid off. My collection is complete to #30. I beat the scalper at his game. I went in at 3:00 am and there were figures on the pegs so I grabbed those. I looked down the isle and the stocker had 2 more boxes so I whipped out the old blade and went to work. I had emptied the pegs of the good stuff so when he said those 2 boxes were overstock I said B.S. and proceeded to remove the good stuff from them too! I got a Scorch, a Cody, 7 clones and 2 or 3 of everything else. I even racked up 5 or 6 of the Galactic Hunt cards. All in all, a good mission. I could tell the stocker was miffed and on my way out of the store who was walking in? Why my good pal Mr. Scalper. My haul of Star Wars stuff made his day I'm sure. Well that's about it from way out west where we are trying to build a big huge fence. Get loud and stay loud!”

Sandwatch Update: Demise of General Grievous
Sandwatch Update: Demise of General GrievousGeneral Grievous was one evil character who had the lightsaber skills of a Jedi, the deadly ways of a Sith Lord, and the military background of a commanding officer. He was a general of the Separatist Army during the Clone Wars. Just before Emperor Palpatine transmitted "Order 66" to all of his clone army, General Grievous was approached by Obi-Wan Kenobi and the one-on-one battle between the two began. Grievous thought he had more skills and talent and that he could easily take his opponent, but he was obviously mistaken. Hasbro captured Grievous' last moments quite well in plastic form, so be sure to check out fellow staff member Boba Bink's report and images of this figure here.

New Collection Added to the Site
Sandtroopers rule the world!Hey troopers, it gives me great pleasure to announce the recent addition of another Star Wars collection to our Collections section, and this collection belongs to none other than Sandtrooper Jedichirp. He has a wide variety of Star Wars collectibles on display, some of which include your basic figures, boxed vintage items and two of the coolest things I've seen in a collection... an airbrushed Darth Vader on a mini-fridge and a metallic green see-through computer case with Star Wars images all over it. Check out the pictures of his collection here.

Sandtrooper Jedichirp Reports:
“Hey Troops. Jedichirp here. I was able to grab 3 #26 Clone Troopers today at Target. I already had mine a couple of weeks ago. These 3 are for you Troopers. I would prefer a 1-to-1 trade for a figure that I need. Just send me an email or PM me in the forums if you want to work out a deal. I have a Want List in the forums.”

Sandtrooper Dennis Reports:
24/7 S.C.A.L.P. Trooper“Target (Gurnee, IL) has 5 Utapau Clone Troopers, 1 Anakin (#025), & 1 Firespeeder (#022) pilot in stock. They also have signs on their SW pegs basically stating that employees cannot go in the back to bring out the figures that you want & they can limit the quantities of figures you buy. I heard from a friend that this is all because our local scalper, who is well known in our area, has been bothering the employees & managers over figures. I could mention his name but I don't think it makes any difference. Scalpers are all the same. Other than that it's been pretty dead here. That's all for now.”

I found waves 1-4 every figure was there-I picked up Commander Cody, UGH Scorch and UGH General Grievous -Those were the only ones that I got left the others there for some one else. They are starting to Hit in my area-They are out there Troopers...United We Find!”

Force of the Bay: Move on to the Next!
Hey Troopers, back for the ebay attack we’re coming strong with another edition of the original Force of the Bay. We all know what it’s like to have just missed a real good prize. It seems the Clone Wars are going stronger than ever. You can take aim and find nearly any toy in package and ready to ship to your door. There are even some extended recon photos of the place where it all began. However much like a Kamino Cloner it would all depend on the size of your wallet. It might be the thought of hearing an old bedtime story, finding the little tiny parts you know your mother vacuumed up or that elusive Holy Grail! You can never seem to run out of music for your eyes. There are more things for your Star Wars collection that could make you remember the era of the real thing. There is a lot more that will make you wonder if it is the real thing. Get ready and grab some heavy artillery and discover all of the things you only thought were not within your reach. Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to all of you Troopers in your search. Kick A$% and take names!

Sandtrooper Jedichirp Reports:
Leavin' the Jawa Trailer Park!“Jedichirp in Indy and on the Toy Run today for some new figs. The Greenwood Walmart was a good stop today. I found the Geonosis Wave, however someone had already grabbed up the Trooper and Scorch. They also had many fresh opened cases of new Galactic Heroes (Emperor/Shock Troop, Red Battle Droid/Green Trooper). They were stacked even above on the shelf with plenty to go around. My other 3 stops were far less eventful. Target, East Street and Greenwood, had nothing new at all. They both had the typical Transformers/SW assortments, a few ships, and some Vader/Fett Titanium figs. The Greenwood Meijer, which always sucks, was dry to the bone. They actually have the same 6 or 7 Bib Fortuna’s hanging on the pegs alone that they had over a month ago. They are horrible, but I keep stopping just because it’s on the way to Target. I hope some of you are finding your Galactic Hunt figs and Coruscant Wave figs, and if not, just keep the Dewbacks fed and happy and they will take you where you want to go search.”

Real Men wear Pink!“More Coruscant sightings in Texas! The Killeen Wal-Mart has received some of the new figures and I was lucky enough to score a UGH Scorch.... I grabbed a few extra figures for the Troopers out there! Target also got in a case of the Coruscant wave, but the Cody's were gone, these fly quickly so, check your Wal-Mart’s, the new figures are starting to show up! Hoth, Minnesota!“Gran3131 here, reporting in from the metro area of Minnesota. Well troopers the Coruscant wave has hit and with a few early morning runs and help from some of the local troopers I have been able to complete the wave 4. I am very happy to say that in the last couple of months three new MN troopers have joined the forums and another trooper that was already a member has been a lot more active as of late. We are starting to develop a great system here and I am happy to be involved with it. If it was not for Sandtroopers.com I would have never got to meet some of these great troopers, just another reason why this is the best site out there. Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C Reports:
Are they still making these?“I went out on my figure run this morning. I stopped by the Wal-Mart on University Drive in Huntsville. This Wal-Mart was been notorious for scalpers. I was walking into the action figure aisle expecting Geonosis wave peg warmers. I was shocked to see 3 Cody’s and the rest of the Coruscant wave. The one thing that shocked me was one was a Galactic Hunt figure. I was like yes! This is the first time I have ever saw these. They had at least 4 of them: Anakin, Obi-Wan, AT-AT driver, and Cody.”

Sandtrooper Vampirexxi Reports:
“Since I've moved to Gaithersburg, MD (near DC), I've had nothing but bad luck. After going out to 2 targets, 1 Wal-Mart, and a Toys R Us, that bad luck holds. Here's the breakdown of what I found: Target (Germantown) - Coruscant wave minus Cody, Firespeeder pilot, and Foul. There were 3 cases of the Hoth wave. Target (Rockville) - same as above Wal-mart (Germantown) - I was surprised at this, but same as above, + 6 or so Titanium figs. TRU (Gaithersburg) - had nothing but a ton of Hoth Wave and transformers. Didn't see any Scorch or clone troopers either. No sign of the galactic hunt figures either. So if you're looking to finish your Hoth dioramas, these are the stores to check out. If anyone has an extra Cody, Firespeeder or Foul to part with, let me know.”

Sandtrooper dustrho Reporting In!
Hey troopers! I made another trek out this morning and hit the Wal-Mart and Target out in the Aurora/Plainfield area, and I finally scored some figures that I didn't have yet. I picked up five AT-AT Drivers for my army-building and one additional Snowtrooper. I then found from the newer Saga collection Jango Fett, R2-D2 and Yoda... all three that I hadn't been able to find yet and now they're home with all the other figures in this collection. The last thing I bought was a Titanium Vehicle Naboo Fighter, and I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with these things! The detail is done so well with them, especially for something so small. Well troops, that's all for now but until then... UNITED WE FIND!

Sandwatch Update: Heroes & Villains Images
Sandwatch Update: Heroes & Villains ImagesWe have some exciting new images to share with you, and they all come from Hasbro's soon-to-be released Heroes & Villains collection. The cardback is pretty much the same as the latest Saga collection, but this has the logo printed on the front that says "The Episode III Heroes & Villains Collection." It's currently not known when these will make it to stores, but I'm sure they'll be out sometime this year. Although the cardbacks look great, the figures all appear to be rehashes. Check out all the new images here.

“TK-533 reporting from Oshkosh, WI. Over the past 2 weeks our local Target has been receiving several new shipments, which have included many Commander Codys, Utaupa clone troopers, and Scorches. Unleashed Battle Packs: The Battle of Hoth
When you ask just about any Star Wars fan what their favorite scene was in all of the six Star Wars films, most of them would say the Battle of Hoth was the best. I would have to agree with that statement. Well, Star Wars collectors are in luck, as Hasbro has launched a major assault on Hoth with the latest Unleashed Battle Pack wave appropriately titled "The Battle of Hoth." There will be three different sets in this new wave which include the following:

  • Imperial Invasion: Darth Vader, Probe Droid, General Veers, and AT-AT Driver
  • Wampa Assault: Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Wampa
  • Snowtrooper Battalion: Snowtrooper Captain, Gunner, and Engineer

These packs will be available later this summer. Check out all the images and details of this exciting new wave here, and make sure you talk about this exciting new wave over in our forums.

    Sandtrooper Erik Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Patrol- Southern Illinois!“A fresh blanket of snow has welcomed the Coruscant Wave to Decatur, IL today! That’s right…after three weeks on nothing, save a couple stray Bib Fortunas, the pegs were fully stocked with one case of Coruscant and two Geonosis revision waves. Sadly…no Cody, Ki-Adi, or chase variants. One nice discovery: with two to a case, the once-elusive Utapau Clone is readily available. If the pattern holds true, we’ll be seeing about another four to five cases hit in the next three weeks or so. As far as other stores, our local Wal-Mart’s are teeming with the normal pegwarmers: Bren Derlin, General Rieekan, Poggle the Lesser, and Sun Fac, but little else. That’s all from the Soy Capital of the World for this report…. now, let’s all start looking for the Mos Eisley wave!”

    Sandtrooper Jedichirp Reports:
Leavin' the Jawa Trailer Park!"Alright Troops, Jedichirp here in Indy. I decided to do a long Star Wars Hunt today and I prepped my Dewback and gave him a pep talk about finding new figs and it seemed to have worked. I’ve had visions of Starfox’s Galactic Hunt figures dancing through my head for two days now and was determined to lay down some cash today for some new figs of my own. We dropped my son off at school, and then made our way to the Target on S. East St. to have a look around. I went in and made a bee line to the toys and found some gold. I scored the complete Coruscant wave except for Foul Moudama. This included the Clone Trooper (which I already had but picked up to trade here) and the Commander Cody and AT-AT Driver Galactic Hunt figs!! I bought every new fig they had on the pegs (no duplicate-only one case) which was ten figs. But now the hunt was on. I was disappointed at not getting Foul Moudama and took my Dewback south to the Greenwood Walmart, Target, and Meijer. I didn’t find squat at any of these locations, but still headed home with a smile. Keep you eyes open Troops!! The Coruscant figs are on their way to a town near you. Good luck!"

    Sandtrooper Scruffytrooper Reports:
“Hello Troops. Today the force was with me. I went to my local Target here in Chester, VA (near Richmond) as they opened and to my surprise found the entire Coruscant wave case fresh. What got me even more excited is Cody’s holo figure was of Darth Sidious! A good bonus indeed seeing that he didn’t come with him initially. I was also pretty stoked because Anakin’s holo figure was of Vader. I usually don’t pay too much attention to the little holo figures but for these 2 figures it was a huge bonus for people like me who are MOC collectors. Also in the case were 2 Utapau Troopers and a Hoth Darth Vader. I’m really loving these figures…in my opinion it’s the best wave Hasbro has put together in a long time. So Troopers keep your heads and be alert because these guys are on the loose!”

    Sandtrooper DarthPharoah Reports:
Sandtrooper DarthPharoah Reports:"DarthPharaoh with a word. The Coruscant wave has hit the Atlanta area, though I haven`t seen them yet and from the reports from local collectors only a couple folks have seen em. Otherwise basic figures are slim around here. There`s Hoth and Carkoon here and there but not even a single pegwarmer from Geonosis. Frankly, that wave barely hit. Atlanta has become it`s old SW lacking self. It was that way before ROTS and apparently will be again after. There are billions of choppers to be had though!! What a joke that line was. The Titanium figures also seem to be warming shelves around town. I just don`t think too many will pay $15 for them. After all, the large Titanium ships are way bigger and are only $5 more. The only ones I plan to get are the 501st clone and... naturally... the sandtrooper. That`s it from Hot(h)lanta. Death to all scalpers!!!"

    Sandtrooper Wickedempire Reports:
"This morning I started up the 'ol Dewback and went out on a mission, a mission to find wave four! So lately I have been going to a Target that is further away from me because of some local scalper problems. This morning I pulled into the driveway at ten minutes to 8am and saw them standing out front! I was in no way going to waste my time dealing with them, especially since I have been seeing only one or two cases of figures being put out (and that's a really good day). So I turned around and made my way back to Clackamas where I made it to Target just at 8am (man that was some fast driving). Well the place was empty of customers so I was feeling pretty good; then I saw three other people in MY star wars section and there was plenty of movement!

I was feeling really bad, almost at a point of turning around but I kept on moving. Well, I got in there and two guys were going through the pegs and already had a handful of figures. I asked, "Are there anymore Codys (seeing this guy having two for himself)?" He looked and found one for me, so these guys aren't scalpers I thought, and what he did was very cool! I was able to find all but holo Ki-Adi-Mundi and Lushros, which I'm sure the other two guys got. Anyway, that means that there were four Codys and four Firespeeder Pilots, and that means a lot more cases are being put out than any other wave I've seen in the area! I talked to the guys about Sandtroopers and told them to come on by! Hopefully they are reading this and join because if they don't they'll be sorry! So to all of you out there in the Portland area, WAVE 4 HAS HIT!!! Get out there this week and you'll score, in my opinion, the best wave yet! UNITED WE FIND!"

“Hello Troops, Coruscant wave is finally landing in our area up North. I was lucky enough to have a friend pick me up a Cody (he is really cool get 2 if you can) and an Orange Utapau trooper today at target in Amherst, Massachusetts. Wal-Mart in Amherst is useless still, no figures in that store since the very first SAGA wave. Wal-Mart in Northampton Massachusetts is always wiped out and the only way you find stuff is if you happen across a case on a pallet before it’s put out. That is nearly impossible unless you work there. Target seems to still be the best bet around our area for stuff. They seem to be the only place-stocking SAGA figures that don’t have a scalper working there. I also picked up the Vintage Finish Boba Fett and Vader. These are nice pieces; I wasn’t sure if I would be interested in them but after seeing them in person I had to get both. Other than that it’s been slow going and bare pegs everywhere. I hope that as the year goes on they get in more stock, old SAGA figures I don’t need are better to look at than bare pegs for 3 weeks! UGH! If anyone happens across a SAGA Vader in the standing position please contact me I am willing to trade or purchase one if you have an extra. If you happen to have one please e-mail me.”

I went for an early morning recon to the local Wal-Mart and I got lucky and found a Scorch and the Orange Clone. Needless to say I was pretty happy. Vegas is a 24 hour town so you need to look around the clock to find the goods. I found Scorch at 3:45 am yaaawwwwn! Hey that Cinemascape Vader arrived today. Not a bad statue. I'll give it 3.5 to 4 stars. He is 17-inches tall to the tip of his light saber. I'm still waiting for the Sideshow Grievous to come in. If he is anything close to their Vader, he'll be a great statue. Well, that's it for now troops. Stay frosty, it's always darkest before the dawn!”

“Swnut928 signing in from Southeast Michigan...made a pact on Saturday morning to hunt every Target in Michigan until I found new figures. I hit the jackpot at the second stop, Target in Brighton. I found all of the new Coruscant wave and plucked an extra Scorch out of the hands of the scalpers for a fellow trooper. The first Trooper that emails me at (and can use paypal) will get it for cost-plus shipping (cost was $7.41 plus around $4.00 for Priority Mail shipping). I have been helped before by troopers and traders here (at this point, there isn't anything I need to trade for) so I will offer it up to a fellow trooper. Good luck in your weekend hunts. Sandtrooper dustrho Reporting In!
Hey Troopers! I stopped at a couple places today in search of some new Star Wars toys, and unfortunately I wasn't able to find much of anything. Both Target and Wal-Mart in the Aurora/Plainfield area were pretty pathetic, and out of both stores only one of them had a single figures from the TSC line which was Princess Leia in Boushh Disguise. I have yet to find anything from the last two waves, but thanks to all the other troopers in the forums I've been able to fill in all those loose holes in my collection. My collection wouldn't be what it is today without all your help. Both stores had tons of those awful looking chopper bikes, which I'm not sure why those were even allowed to be manufactured. Both stores had several Titanium Vehicles (big and small) and two of the Titanium Figures (Boba Fett and Darth Vader). Other than that, there wasn't anything exciting to write home about. Until next time, United We Find!

The convention I'm referring to is Wizard World Chicago, and it will be at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (in Rosemont, IL) again like it has been the last several years. If you're thinking about attending you might want to start making plans for it, so request those days off from work as soon as you can. The more members from Sandtroopers.com means the more fun this convention will be! Head on over to our forums to start making plans about this.

Red Sox and Sandtrooper Pride“After a month of nothing I hit the mother load this afternoon. The Westborough/Northborough Mass. Target just stocked the pegs a little before I arrived around 3:00pm. Someone did get there before I did, but I still picked up everything in the new wave. I did check the Worcester and Millbury Targets, but nothing at both stores. Here is the breakdown of what I purchased: Firespeeder Pilot X2, Lushros Dofine, Clone Commander Cody, Anakin Skywalker, Clonetrooper, Holo Ki-Adi-Mundi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Foul Moudama and General Grievous. These are slowing starting to finally hit. I hope to pick up some extras really soon as well.”

“Okay troopers, this is my first report for Portland, Oregon and surrounding Metro areas. While the last several weeks have been pretty poor in the figure department at local Targets, I have found that in the last week they are starting to fill the pegs. For right now all I am seeing are the Hoth Wave, and parts of the Geonisis wave, along with Han in Carbonite, Chewie, and Leia as Boushh. I talked to a salesperson this morning (at the Stafford Target) and he said they had come into the possession of the new Coruscant wave but would not go out and put anymore out on the shelf! I have seen plenty of the Titanium Vader and Boba Fett figures for 14.99 as well as the unleashed battle packs. Oh and I might add that some Targets are pricing their figures at 6.99 still (Stafford Target)! As far as Wal-Mart in concerned, don't waste your time right now, as they have had squat for some time now. I hope that this can help some of you and if you are reading this and live in Portland or surrounding metro areas, please come on into the Forums and register, this is a great place! If there are any figures you would like and can't find them shoot me a PM in the Forums or Email me. United We Find!”

East Coast Patrol“Hi Troopers, Lisette from NYC reporting. After many weeks of continuously missing that one elusive box that my local Target puts on the shelf, I was able to get figures 22-30 with the help of a Target employee. Using Target's Scan gun that allows you to input the SKU # in order to find out if the item is in stock, I finally hit Jackpot. The employee after some reluctance finally retrieved a box from the back. I was looking for the Scorch figure, which I have been unable to find despite all my trips to Target. I may have missed out on Scorch but I am happy with the figures I did get. Hopefully I'll find Scorch soon. If it hasn't already been reported, this box holds 2 Darth Vader's with flaring cape, 2 Clone Troopers and one each of 22-30. I don't know if this will help, but the number on the Hasbro box was 85770000E. Happy Hunting.”

    Return of the Salty Fries
Just five short months after Burger King's promotional campaign for Revenge of the Sith in theaters, the fast food chain returned with another attack of collectible memorabilia. This time around the promotion was geared towards the release of the film on DVD.

For a period of four weeks, Burger King dressed up again in Jedi robes and decorations abounded with a multitude of promotional items covering windows and doors, countertops and drive-through areas. As with any promotion well worth the time, Burger King opened up a new section of their website detailing the items available. TV commercials ran frequently backing up the celebration and making everyone aware Star Wars was back in the King's castle.

Following is a complete Guide of all the merchandise available during the DVD Movie release campaign, not only in America but globally as well. We hope you enjoy the reading and that its in depth look will serve as a complete reference of this promotion.

Real Men wear Pink!“Great news from central Texas! The Target store in Killeen put out a case of the Commander Cody wave today and I scored quite a few of the different figures and left some behind for fellow local Troopers. And now that I have this wave in my hands, I really love the look of the Firespeeder Pilot, the coloring is really done well...other than this isolated hit, most of the area is dry, both Wal-Mart stores have a few Derlins & Riekaans and some Bib's but not much else. The Titanium figures have hit most stores and are starting to warm the shelf space, these are nice but not at $15 a pop! The smaller Titanium ships are low everywhere too, still looking for the Sith Infiltrator wave down here. Oh and by the way, Kmart sucks! No new SAGA figs anywhere, just some left over high-priced ROTS pegwarmers taking up space...that's all from central Texas, Starfox signing out...”

    Area Report: Got the Sith!
Still on patrol in the circle city!“Hello fellow troopers! Just wanted to inform you all that today on my toy hunt I stopped in at Target (Avon, Indiana). When I got there to my surprise hanging on the pegs was some of the Coruscant wave. A local collector who I do not know had the rest in his basket. He asked me if I needed them? I said yes. This nice person gave me one of each of the Coruscant wave that I did not get off the pegs. There were also a few Utapau Clone Troopers and Scorches. I think they are X2 of each per Coruscant case and X1 of each of Firespeeder Pilot, Lushros Dofine, Clone Commander Cody, Anakin Skywalker, Holographic Ki-Adi-Mundi, Foul Moudama, General Grievous, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Happy Hunting!”

    Sandtrooper Master Frank Reports:
“Master Frank checking in, reporting today with some interesting news... Don't give up hope on Scorch and the Utapau Trooper! Today at an out of town Target my friend and me came across the remains of waves 1, 2, and 3. Strange enough though yesterday there were no Scorch or Utapau Troopers - today they had tons! This find leads me to believe that Hasbro may be releasing cases packed with only Scorch and Utapau Troopers, 6 of each figure! I can't imagine these figures being left behind, so I'm guessing we arrived right after staff pushed stock, and they pushed it later than usual which is why the regulars missed them. Here is the URL to the stuff of what I found today! I was also lucky to grab a couple Chewbacca small-chain ring variants for my friend and me. We then split the figures between us to give to our local collector buds that still need a Scorch or Trooper, but I'll probably put one or two Scorch on my trade list tomorrow to help those having trouble finding him. Maybe someone will be willing to trade me a Boba Fett with flames in front variant? Keep up the good fight Troopers!”

    Sandtrooper Jedichirp Reports:
Leavin' the Jawa Trailer Park!“Hey Troops! Jedichirp reporting in from Indy. I’m still trying to figure out how to control this new Dewback of mine, and I actually ended up a ways off the beaten path today at the Heartland Crossing Meijer. I didn’t find a thing, but it was good to go somewhere new for a change. I then got the Dewback under control and headed back to more familiar lands at the Greenwood TRU. I was once again disappointed in what I found (or didn’t find) inside. A few dusty, crusty figs on the pegs, a couple of beat up RotS 2pack figs and lots of M&M figs for $3.97. So I hopped back on the Dewback and decided to call it a day and will head out again tomorrow morning to Target, Wal-Mart, and maybe TRU, again. Also, I just wanted to send out a huge Thank You to all the troops that have helped me with trades in the past few weeks. I never expected to fill my ROTS line so quickly, but you guys are really on the ball. I needed about a dozen figs 3 weeks ago and now only need 3 or 4! Amazing. The fact that we all are here to help each other makes this place The Place To Be for Star Wars collectors. Great job troops and happy hunting.”

Area Report: The Indiana Dune Sea...
Class is in session, suckers!“Disappointing last couple of weeks here in NW Indiana. Slim pickings at all of the stores. 5 Targets, 4 Wal-Marts, a Meijer, and a KB Toyworks, and not one figure to write home about. Even this morning, being out to 3 Targets before 8:30am and the shelves were empty of basic figs, except for the occasional Carkoon or Hoth series figure. Titanium ships have been plentiful, however, and the Titanium Figures have been pretty common also. Hoping to come across a find like Master Frank did yesterday, but it's not looking too good. Until then, Troopers, remain vigilant against all scalpers, and good luck in your hunts! Transmission out.”

Desert Warfare“Greetings everyone from the heartland of God's country. Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I checked both Wal-Mart and Target at two locations each. I also hit TRU and one of the K-Marts. If you're looking for the Titanium Boba Fett and Darth Vader this is the place to be. Each store had at least 2 of each. I did find the occasional Poggle and Yoda. One thing you can count on-The Star Wars choppers and Derlin figure are warming pegs everywhere. Also, just in case you need one to complete the ensemble, Clone Blasters have shown up in most of the stores. Thanks to all of my fellow troopers that have helped me out. Don't mess with the Tamer!“Sandtrooper Tamer reporting in as it has been a few weeks since my last submission. Nothing good to report on the saga hunt but I am seeing some of the titanium figs, but I have to warn you to really look at the packaging if you are a carded collector as it looks like these are coming to the stores in horrible condition. I just read Master Frank's report so it is time to go on an extended recon. Troopers get the waves and keep them out of scalper hands. I plan on doing the same. I also have to say thanks to Sandtroopers for the awesome trooper of the month contest. It sure is nice to be noticed by such a great group of troopers. I am telling new viewers, if you have not joined, you had better get yourself signed on in the forums. There are some great things happening almost daily and I have met some great folks. The small vehicle waves with Trade AAT and Infiltrator have hit Target. The ultra Slave and Snowspeeder have hit both Wal-Mart and Target. A fellow collector has come across the regular Titanium figs at Target. Lastly, if you are into the Miniatures, the AT-ST Attack on Endor Scenario Pack can be found at Target. It is a very nice looking piece but a bit pricey at $19.99. Happy Hunting to all!”

    Sandtrooper Erik Reports:
S.C.A.L.P. Patrol- Southern Illinois!“From the shores of Lake Decatur (same great taste, now with 30% less soy!) comes another fun-filled store report for Decatur, IL! Or rather, fun-filled but mostly empty. Target, which has been the best bet for our local collectors, has been dead for a couple weeks since I completed my Geonosis wave. Only two Bib Fortunas are on the 3.75” pegs. No sign of the Titanium Figures; they’re not even in the stockroom. The pegs are inundated with Unleashed Battlepacks and Transformers (including the Sith Infiltrator/Darth Maul Transformer), and that’s about it. Wal-Mart North (off of Prospect St.) has finally been getting the Geonosis wave. No Scorches or Utapau clones are on the pegs; however, there are four or five Poggle the Lessers, a Yoda, and a Sora Bulq, along with the traditional Hoth wave pegwarmers. The 3.75” line has gone up to $6.63/figure, on par with other price increases across the country. There is quite a selection here, including the most recent waves. No Titanium figures yet. Wal-Mart South (off of Airport Rd.) also is finally getting the Geonosis wave; unfortunately, there’s only a couple Poggle the Lessers remaining (and at $6.63). No Titanium vehicles or figures (the vehicles sell really well here) are present. So, no real scores today; next to the upcoming Coruscant Wave, the Titanium figures are my major hunt right now. I’ll be sure to keep everyone informed when the Soy Capital of the World begins to shine with a patina finish!”

    Sandtrooper Reed Reports:
“Many Thanks to Trooper Bobafred! I was able to score the Darth Vader and Boba Fett Titanium figures at my local Target store in Hagerstown, Maryland. I gave my wife the DCPI number and suggested that she check the toy aisle first to see if these figures were on display. They were not. My wife then went to customer service and asked if these figures were in the store. The customer service representative looked up the number in the store's inventory and lo and behold they were in stock. After a call to the stock room and some waiting, a disgruntled store employee brought the figures to the customer service department, and said "Is this what you want?" My wife gleefully replied, "Yes it is" and paid for them at customer service. She got the impression that no one outside the toy department was supposed to know these figures were in stock. I suspect some insider scalping. I had to go through a similar process to get the Utapau Trooper. Oh well. Whatever works! Keep those DCPI numbers coming!”

I started off at Best Buy to get my new Guild Wars presale game and they had 4 of the mini replica sabers left. All of them were pretty beat up and they wouldn’t take less than full price for them, which I asked 2 different people about. Oh well. I then headed to Wal-Mart and Target back to back and Wal-Mart had their usual fill of Hoth leftovers and still had a boatload of Vader cheap plastic masks on clearance. Target didn’t even have a fig on the pegs at all. I wanted to go to Meijer (which is directly next door) but was too disappointed to go after coming up empty already. Tomorrow I’m gearing up the Dewback for another trek around the city. Good luck to you all!”

Revenge of the Sith: Oscar Snub!
George is still a winner and ST still has HIS BACK!Hey Troops, as many of you already know Revenge of the Sith did not take home Oscar gold in the lone category it was nominated for for best makeup. It's too bad the academy can't get over the fact he did it his way, and changed not only film history but revoloutionized the toy industry as well. If there was anyone on the face of the earth that would deserve a "Lifetime Achievement Award" it's Mr. Lucas for his contribution to motion pictures. Dewback Patrol: About anything and a Berger to Go!
How do you get your a@# whupped by guys on Dewback? You know what they say about the wicked and rest Troopers and the Patrol continues with a pre-dawn clandestine raid by dustrho this morning in Bridgeview, IL where he and forum member Darth Berger were able to obtain photos and provide some S.C.A.L.P. Intel for this event. This show was a prime example of why you might want to get out to events like these; you never know what would turn up in your search. Coming strong with the Patrol that is never too full, United We Find Troops!

Dewback Patrol: Full Circle at MSI
It's time to take out the Jedi and stomp on the Jawas!Hey troopers! We have more exciting event coverage to share with you, and is another fine addition to our Dewback Patrol. It's been two years since Darth Spice and I participated together in an MSI event. Last time we were spectators, and this time we were the real deal... sandtroopers! It's truly amazing and rewarding to see the smiles on children's faces when they see us walking around in our outfits. Even the parents seem to have just as much fun seeing us suited up in armor. Check out the 123 photos that were taken and read Spice's report here.

    Sandtrooper Darth Vegas Reports:
If you roll with ST, you're guaranteed 7 or 11 EVERYTIME!“Darth Vegas Reporting, I'm encountering the same frustration with Scorch and the Orange Clone. If you find them buy them all, I'll back you up for at least 2 of each. My Sideshow Vader arrived today. This is an impressive piece. Excellent craftsmanship. I can't wait to see Grievous. Listen, the Attakus pewter figures are wonderful. If you can, get them all, you will not be disappointed. There are 9 of them out there. These figures go with an amazing scale Falcon that breaks into two halves with all the detail accurately reproduced. It's going to be quite the series when completed. All the same stuff I'm hearing around the country dittos Vegas, slow, steady and a pesky scalper sleeping in Wal-Mart and Target parking lots. I'll find him Darth Vegas Out!”

    Sandtrooper Eric Reports:
“Using information from Yakface.com, I visited my Columbia, IL Walgreen’s drugstore yesterday and they had Poogle the Lesser, Sun Fac, and Jango Fett from the Geonosis wave. I passed on all three, as they were $7.99. I suggest you start visiting your secondary stores.”

“Rojohero here in Houston. I seem to be getting shut out at Target with Scorch and the Orange Trooper. I am guessing my minutes or hours. I think we have a scalper in my Houston area. Anyway if you pick up an extra Scorch or Orange Trooper, shoot me an email.”

    Sandtrooper Darth Pharoah Reports:
Goes down Souf!“DarthPharaoh checking in. I’ve found the entire new wave of 8 Titanium Series ships including the "Raw Metal" Slave I. This series has yet to disappoint me. Every ship in this line has been impressive as have the Ultra part of this series. Just wish those were more than two at a time. There are still plenty of Geonosis figures are still rare around here. Scorch and the Utapau Clone even worse. I have yet to find those 2 and I make runs daily around town. (If anyone has managed to get extras of either please let me know). Target has been good but WM has been oddly devoid of figures at all lately though they’ve kept up with everything else fairly well. Even TRU has been catching up in the last couple weeks getting in plenty of the Carkoon and Hoth wave. I even found Yoda and the Geonosians at one yesterday. Here’s hoping they stay on the ball now. Well, good luck fellow troopers, I’m out, and as always.... Death to all scalpers!”

Force of the Bay: Bay-Sic Training
Hey Troopers, with tax season approaching and most having a few extra dollars to blow, you might try checking out the bay to satisfy your hunger for the rare and unique. One of the greatest things is you can stay stationary and shop from the comfort of your own bunker. There is always a light at the end of a tunnel, but you can always project parting with more than a few dollars to get a hold of those Star Wars items that have been so elusive. The only drawback could be finding more things you were missing, and you should always know when to quit searching. The only security you have is knowing if you miss it, you can always find another one. It doesn't matter how you wrap it up, I've been making the case for over four years now that Ebay is one of the best resources you have for collecting if used wisely. If you are patient and persistently look, you will find that is the first step to not over-extending your budget. If you are still as skeptic, you may try a seller you are familiar with. Sandtroopers are used to looking for something all of the time, therefore it's a little easier to spot something special! If you are not careful you just might find yourself at the start of a whole new aspect of spending on this hobby. Even if you do, you'll find everything that will have you looking just like the real deal. Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates and of the items featured here. Good luck to you Troopers in your searches, Kick A#$ and take names!

    Sandtrooper Aantmanntooine Reports:
“Southwest Virginia: My local Wal-Mart got in a case of Titanium Figures last night and I picked up a set of Titanium Darth Vader and Boba Fett (two sets per case, I am told). These look awesome! As a side note, I opened mine to display, and some of the loose pieces have a tough time staying on snuggly, so try to see if you can make due without cutting the little clear rubber bands holding things together nicely. More importantly, start hitting your Wal-Mart for these bad boys at the price of $14.88+tax, that’s what I found them for.”

    Sandtrooper Tim Reports:
“Finally! Today we got an extended lunch hour at work and it paid off. I went to Super Wal-Mart and they had what was left of the Geonosis wave, no big news there, then I went to Target and they were stocking the shelves and the only thing they had Star Wars was Transformers (big deal) and the same Carkoon figures that have been hanging there since January. Then I decided to hit a small outta the way Wal-Mart and they were stocking shelves, I held my breath and turned down the action figure aisle and as if a beam of light was shining down from the heavens there was a lady hanging up a case of the Geonosis Wave. I finally got Scorch and the Clone Trooper, my week is complete...that feeling I got I was almost manic.... there is truly nothing like the hunt, as frustrated as you get when you finally find it the feeling is awesome...keep up the search they are there.”

    Sandtrooper Starfox Reports:
Real Men wear Pink!“Finally some good news from Central Texas! The Wal-Mart stores in Killeen and Harker Heights finally received the Geonosis wave. I was lucky enough to score one Scorch and one Utapau Trooper, both very good looking figures...I can't wait to find another so I can open one of the Scorch's...there were plenty of the rest of that wave though. I picked up the C-3PO and variant one for fellow forum member Darth Kakas, who is currently over in the big sandbox in the Middle East. Every other store in town is dry and barren...remember, United we Find! ...That’s all for today, Starfox signing off…”

    Sandtroopette Teffie1 Reports:
“Hello Troops, there’s not a lot new in SoCal. The Genosis wave came and went. There has not even been any peg warmers here at the Target and Wal-Mart stores. Target reduced their price down to $6.49 on the Saga figures. The newer Titanium wave with the Anakin starfighter and Millennium falcon hit late last week, as did the new Titanium mini gift packs at Wal-Mart. I also need help with an FAO porcelain Robert Tonner Queen Amidala doll. If you have one, can you please contact me at email me. Or, if you don't have one but know someone that does and have their information, that would be great as well.”

    Sandtrooper Eric Reports:
“This morning, at 6:30 a.m., I visited the Waterloo, IL Wal-Mart Supercenter - our town's grocery and department store. To my surprise, I found at least two cases of the Geonosis wave fresh on the pegs. I had already found the wave at Target, but I did use part of the $16.00 remaining in my checking account to buy two more Utapau Clone Troopers.”
