“Hey Troopers, Darth Vegas reporting in. The western sector finally paid off. My collection is complete to #30. I beat the scalper at his game. I went in at 3:00 am and there were figures on the pegs so I grabbed those. I looked down the isle and the stocker had 2 more boxes so I whipped out the old blade and went to work. I had emptied the pegs of the good stuff so when he said those 2 boxes were overstock I said B.S. and proceeded to remove the good stuff from them too! I got a Scorch, a Cody, 7 clones and 2 or 3 of everything else. I even racked up 5 or 6 of the Galactic Hunt cards. All in all, a good mission. I could tell the stocker was miffed and on my way out of the store who was walking in? Why my good pal Mr. Scalper. My haul of Star Wars stuff made his day I'm sure. Well that's about it from way out west where we are trying to build a big huge fence. Get loud and stay loud!”tpinney2@cox.net |
General Grievous was one evil character who had the lightsaber skills of a Jedi, the deadly ways of a Sith Lord, and the military background of a commanding officer. He was a general of the Separatist Army during the Clone Wars. Just before Emperor Palpatine transmitted "Order 66" to all of his clone army, General Grievous was approached by Obi-Wan Kenobi and the one-on-one battle between the two began. Grievous thought he had more skills and talent and that he could easily take his opponent, but he was obviously mistaken. Hasbro captured Grievous' last moments quite well in plastic form, so be sure to check out fellow staff member Boba Bink's report and images of this figure here. |
“Target (Gurnee, IL) has 5 Utapau Clone Troopers, 1 Anakin (#025), & 1 Firespeeder (#022) pilot in stock. They also have signs on their SW pegs basically stating that employees cannot go in the back to bring out the figures that you want & they can limit the quantities of figures you buy. I heard from a friend that this is all because our local scalper, who is well known in our area, has been bothering the employees & managers over figures. I could mention his name but I don't think it makes any difference. Scalpers are all the same. Other than that it's been pretty dead here. That's all for now.”wrightcombo@juno.com |
“Reporting my finds today-I hit the jackpot at my local Target today. They had just stocked the pegs you could not fit one more figure that's how full it was. I found waves 1-4 every figure was there-I picked up Commander Cody, UGH Scorch and UGH General Grievous -Those were the only ones that I got left the others there for some one else. They are starting to Hit in my area-They are out there Troopers...United We Find!”STEELCOUNTRY1@aol.com |

“Jedichirp in Indy and on the Toy Run today for some new figs. The Greenwood Walmart was a good stop today. I found the Geonosis Wave, however someone had already grabbed up the Trooper and Scorch. They also had many fresh opened cases of new Galactic Heroes (Emperor/Shock Troop, Red Battle Droid/Green Trooper). They were stacked even above on the shelf with plenty to go around. My other 3 stops were far less eventful. Target, East Street and Greenwood, had nothing new at all. They both had the typical Transformers/SW assortments, a few ships, and some Vader/Fett Titanium figs. The Greenwood Meijer, which always sucks, was dry to the bone. They actually have the same 6 or 7 Bib Fortuna’s hanging on the pegs alone that they had over a month ago. They are horrible, but I keep stopping just because it’s on the way to Target. I hope some of you are finding your Galactic Hunt figs and Coruscant Wave figs, and if not, just keep the Dewbacks fed and happy and they will take you where you want to go search.”chad.mcdonald@sbcglobal.net |
“More Coruscant sightings in Texas! The Killeen Wal-Mart has received some of the new figures and I was lucky enough to score a UGH Scorch.... I grabbed a few extra figures for the Troopers out there! Target also got in a case of the Coruscant wave, but the Cody's were gone, these fly quickly so, check your Wal-Mart’s, the new figures are starting to show up! United we Find...Starfox signing out....”starfox@hot.rr.com |

“Gran3131 here, reporting in from the metro area of Minnesota. Well troopers the Coruscant wave has hit and with a few early morning runs and help from some of the local troopers I have been able to complete the wave 4. I am very happy to say that in the last couple of months three new MN troopers have joined the forums and another trooper that was already a member has been a lot more active as of late. We are starting to develop a great system here and I am happy to be involved with it. If it was not for Sandtroopers.com I would have never got to meet some of these great troopers, just another reason why this is the best site out there. Thanks Sandtroopers.com for bringing so many collectors across the country and world together. United We Find.”gran0297@umn.edu |
“I went out on my figure run this morning. I stopped by the Wal-Mart on University Drive in Huntsville. This Wal-Mart was been notorious for scalpers. I was walking into the action figure aisle expecting Geonosis wave peg warmers. I was shocked to see 3 Cody’s and the rest of the Coruscant wave. The one thing that shocked me was one was a Galactic Hunt figure. I was like yes! This is the first time I have ever saw these. They had at least 4 of them: Anakin, Obi-Wan, AT-AT driver, and Cody.”c-ryan@mchsi.com |

Hasbro has recently updated their site with new Galactic Hero figures that will be coming out late this summer. The figures will include the following: Greedo & Han Solo, TIE Pilot & Wedge, Luke Skywalker & Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise, and last but certainly not least a Sandtrooper & Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Sandtrooper looks awesome and will of course be a hard item to find when it's eventually released. Check out all the photos and more here. |

“A fresh blanket of snow has welcomed the Coruscant Wave to Decatur, IL today! That’s right…after three weeks on nothing, save a couple stray Bib Fortunas, the pegs were fully stocked with one case of Coruscant and two Geonosis revision waves. Sadly…no Cody, Ki-Adi, or chase variants. One nice discovery: with two to a case, the once-elusive Utapau Clone is readily available. If the pattern holds true, we’ll be seeing about another four to five cases hit in the next three weeks or so. As far as other stores, our local Wal-Mart’s are teeming with the normal pegwarmers: Bren Derlin, General Rieekan, Poggle the Lesser, and Sun Fac, but little else. That’s all from the Soy Capital of the World for this report…. now, let’s all start looking for the Mos Eisley wave!”adayinthelife1979@insightbb.com |

"Alright Troops, Jedichirp here in Indy. I decided to do a long Star Wars Hunt today and I prepped my Dewback and gave him a pep talk about finding new figs and it seemed to have worked. I’ve had visions of Starfox’s Galactic Hunt figures dancing through my head for two days now and was determined to lay down some cash today for some new figs of my own. We dropped my son off at school, and then made our way to the Target on S. East St. to have a look around. I went in and made a bee line to the toys and found some gold. I scored the complete Coruscant wave except for Foul Moudama. This included the Clone Trooper (which I already had but picked up to trade here) and the Commander Cody and AT-AT Driver Galactic Hunt figs!! I bought every new fig they had on the pegs (no duplicate-only one case) which was ten figs. But now the hunt was on. I was disappointed at not getting Foul Moudama and took my Dewback south to the Greenwood Walmart, Target, and Meijer. I didn’t find squat at any of these locations, but still headed home with a smile. Keep you eyes open Troops!! The Coruscant figs are on their way to a town near you. Good luck!"chad.mcdonald@sbcglobal.net |

"DarthPharaoh with a word. The Coruscant wave has hit the Atlanta area, though I haven`t seen them yet and from the reports from local collectors only a couple folks have seen em. Otherwise basic figures are slim around here. There`s Hoth and Carkoon here and there but not even a single pegwarmer from Geonosis. Frankly, that wave barely hit. Atlanta has become it`s old SW lacking self. It was that way before ROTS and apparently will be again after. There are billions of choppers to be had though!! What a joke that line was. The Titanium figures also seem to be warming shelves around town. I just don`t think too many will pay $15 for them. After all, the large Titanium ships are way bigger and are only $5 more. The only ones I plan to get are the 501st clone and... naturally... the sandtrooper. That`s it from Hot(h)lanta. Death to all scalpers!!!"djohnson@internap.com |
"Talk about hitting paydirt with K-dirt, guess what the Fox found on his morning hunt today in Killeen Texas? Not only did I find the Commander Cody wave at Target but it also included the new silver Galactic Hunt Commander Cody and AT-AT Driver! Check out the first and second pictures of these great finds! Keep looking troopers, and you will find. Starfox signing out!"dave@sandtroopers.com |
“Rob Vader reporting in-nothing new in my area-I went to my local Wal-Mart at 5:00 this morning nothing. Its been dry for a few weeks now-I missed Wave 4 by an hour the other day at the local Target so they wont have any stock for a while. They put out 3 cases of mixed figures from all 4 waves. I have a good feeling that this week is going to be good. Until next time...United We Find!”STEELCOUNTRY1@aol.com |

“Hey Troopers, finally, success on the western front. I went for an early morning recon to the local Wal-Mart and I got lucky and found a Scorch and the Orange Clone. Needless to say I was pretty happy. Vegas is a 24 hour town so you need to look around the clock to find the goods. I found Scorch at 3:45 am yaaawwwwn! Hey that Cinemascape Vader arrived today. Not a bad statue. I'll give it 3.5 to 4 stars. He is 17-inches tall to the tip of his light saber. I'm still waiting for the Sideshow Grievous to come in. If he is anything close to their Vader, he'll be a great statue. Well, that's it for now troops. Stay frosty, it's always darkest before the dawn!”tpinney2@cox.net |

Hey troopers! Just before you know it August will be here, and that means one of the biggest conventions will be making its way into the Chicagoland area. The convention I'm referring to is Wizard World Chicago, and it will be at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (in Rosemont, IL) again like it has been the last several years. If you're thinking about attending you might want to start making plans for it, so request those days off from work as soon as you can. The more members from Sandtroopers.com means the more fun this convention will be! Head on over to our forums to start making plans about this. |
“After a month of nothing I hit the mother load this afternoon. The Westborough/Northborough Mass. Target just stocked the pegs a little before I arrived around 3:00pm. Someone did get there before I did, but I still picked up everything in the new wave. I did check the Worcester and Millbury Targets, but nothing at both stores. Here is the breakdown of what I purchased: Firespeeder Pilot X2, Lushros Dofine, Clone Commander Cody, Anakin Skywalker, Clonetrooper, Holo Ki-Adi-Mundi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Foul Moudama and General Grievous. These are slowing starting to finally hit. I hope to pick up some extras really soon as well.”jimsjedi@aol.com |

“Hi Troopers, Lisette from NYC reporting. After many weeks of continuously missing that one elusive box that my local Target puts on the shelf, I was able to get figures 22-30 with the help of a Target employee. Using Target's Scan gun that allows you to input the SKU # in order to find out if the item is in stock, I finally hit Jackpot. The employee after some reluctance finally retrieved a box from the back. I was looking for the Scorch figure, which I have been unable to find despite all my trips to Target. I may have missed out on Scorch but I am happy with the figures I did get. Hopefully I'll find Scorch soon. If it hasn't already been reported, this box holds 2 Darth Vader's with flaring cape, 2 Clone Troopers and one each of 22-30. I don't know if this will help, but the number on the Hasbro box was 85770000E. Happy Hunting.”joelise13@earthlink.net |

“Hi Troopers, Darth Vegas reporting in from the western sector with lousy news for collectors. I have been hitting all the stores around here and have found absolutely nothing. Tell me if any of you notice that in the racks of collectibles, the only spaces that are entirely empty are the Star Wars pegs. I don't know about you but that tells me someone is not doing their job. If Star Wars is empty you don't put up more Spiderman action figures, you keep Star Wars full because that is what's selling. Someone has always got to take advantage of a situation by getting greedy. Thank the maker we have choices in this Galaxy! Keep up the fight, stand your ground, and give ‘em the butt of your blaster when the batteries run low.”tpinney2@cox.net |

“It's 80 Degrees one day, 32 and snowing the next. Just like the wave shipping in Jersey. My Target received 4 cases of the Cody wave. But I have been noticing a definite pattern we get 2 or 3 shots of each wave then nothing till the next wave or assortment. So my advice is hit it early. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”kmclark14@comcast.net |
It’s official and the finalists that have made the cut are in, now there is a poll asking for you to help decide who will be made in 2007. I really think it’s a great thing to let the voices of the people be heard, even if it is for just a few figures! For the entire rundown of this story visit Wizard.com today. Who will it be? It’s up to you great Sandtroopers to step up and support the character that deserves to shine the most! |
“Great news from central Texas! The Target store in Killeen put out a case of the Commander Cody wave today and I scored quite a few of the different figures and left some behind for fellow local Troopers. On a side note, there were at least 2 Utapau Clonetroopers in this case, so if you missed them in the Scorch wave, fear not! And now that I have this wave in my hands, I really love the look of the Firespeeder Pilot, the coloring is really done well...other than this isolated hit, most of the area is dry, both Wal-Mart stores have a few Derlins & Riekaans and some Bib's but not much else. The Titanium figures have hit most stores and are starting to warm the shelf space, these are nice but not at $15 a pop! The smaller Titanium ships are low everywhere too, still looking for the Sith Infiltrator wave down here. Oh and by the way, Kmart sucks! No new SAGA figs anywhere, just some left over high-priced ROTS pegwarmers taking up space...that's all from central Texas, Starfox signing out...”starfox@hot.rr.com |
“Hello fellow troopers! Just wanted to inform you all that today on my toy hunt I stopped in at Target (Avon, Indiana). When I got there to my surprise hanging on the pegs was some of the Coruscant wave. A local collector who I do not know had the rest in his basket. He asked me if I needed them? I said yes. This nice person gave me one of each of the Coruscant wave that I did not get off the pegs. There were also a few Utapau Clone Troopers and Scorches. I think they are X2 of each per Coruscant case and X1 of each of Firespeeder Pilot, Lushros Dofine, Clone Commander Cody, Anakin Skywalker, Holographic Ki-Adi-Mundi, Foul Moudama, General Grievous, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Happy Hunting!”david@sandtroopers.com |
“Hey Troops! Jedichirp reporting in from Indy. I’m still trying to figure out how to control this new Dewback of mine, and I actually ended up a ways off the beaten path today at the Heartland Crossing Meijer. I didn’t find a thing, but it was good to go somewhere new for a change. I then got the Dewback under control and headed back to more familiar lands at the Greenwood TRU. I was once again disappointed in what I found (or didn’t find) inside. A few dusty, crusty figs on the pegs, a couple of beat up RotS 2pack figs and lots of M&M figs for $3.97. So I hopped back on the Dewback and decided to call it a day and will head out again tomorrow morning to Target, Wal-Mart, and maybe TRU, again. Also, I just wanted to send out a huge Thank You to all the troops that have helped me with trades in the past few weeks. I never expected to fill my ROTS line so quickly, but you guys are really on the ball. I needed about a dozen figs 3 weeks ago and now only need 3 or 4! Amazing. The fact that we all are here to help each other makes this place The Place To Be for Star Wars collectors. Great job troops and happy hunting.”chad.mcdonald@sbcglobal.net |
“Disappointing last couple of weeks here in NW Indiana. Slim pickings at all of the stores. 5 Targets, 4 Wal-Marts, a Meijer, and a KB Toyworks, and not one figure to write home about. Even this morning, being out to 3 Targets before 8:30am and the shelves were empty of basic figs, except for the occasional Carkoon or Hoth series figure. Titanium ships have been plentiful, however, and the Titanium Figures have been pretty common also. Hoping to come across a find like Master Frank did yesterday, but it's not looking too good. Until then, Troopers, remain vigilant against all scalpers, and good luck in your hunts! Transmission out.”pat@sandtroopers.com |

“Greetings everyone from the heartland of God's country. Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I checked both Wal-Mart and Target at two locations each. I also hit TRU and one of the K-Marts. If you're looking for the Titanium Boba Fett and Darth Vader this is the place to be. Each store had at least 2 of each. I did find the occasional Poggle and Yoda. One thing you can count on-The Star Wars choppers and Derlin figure are warming pegs everywhere. Also, just in case you need one to complete the ensemble, Clone Blasters have shown up in most of the stores. Thanks to all of my fellow troopers that have helped me out. United we find and death to the way of all scalpers.”rrl1125@ccr.net |
“Sandtrooper Tamer reporting in as it has been a few weeks since my last submission. Nothing good to report on the saga hunt but I am seeing some of the titanium figs, but I have to warn you to really look at the packaging if you are a carded collector as it looks like these are coming to the stores in horrible condition. I just read Master Frank's report so it is time to go on an extended recon. Troopers get the waves and keep them out of scalper hands. I plan on doing the same. I also have to say thanks to Sandtroopers for the awesome trooper of the month contest. It sure is nice to be noticed by such a great group of troopers. I am telling new viewers, if you have not joined, you had better get yourself signed on in the forums. There are some great things happening almost daily and I have met some great folks. “Hi Troops, Donna from So Cal. It is pretty dry here for basic figs except for the usual pegwarmers. The only new items hitting are Titanium. The small vehicle waves with Trade AAT and Infiltrator have hit Target. The ultra Slave and Snowspeeder have hit both Wal-Mart and Target. A fellow collector has come across the regular Titanium figs at Target. Lastly, if you are into the Miniatures, the AT-ST Attack on Endor Scenario Pack can be found at Target. It is a very nice looking piece but a bit pricey at $19.99. Happy Hunting to all!”theloneswlady@adelphia.net |
