SLAMMIN' week for Sandtrooper Jabba James:
"You all know this already because you saw the update, but I can't believe I won the Ephant Mon. There was a major toy show here in Canada and I sold all of the Star Wars stuff I had for sale. I have a few Simpsons pieces left, but not much at all. A friend of mine who worked the sales table also made a contact with a company in a city about 3 hours from here who have a BoShek figure for me so we will be ordering it asap. What an awesome toy week. I really appreciate you all helping me out by buying some of my collection advertised here on Sandtroopers! Thanks."

See, it is you Troops who are each other's most valuable tools in tailoring your collections. If any of you still have Jabba James' sale list, please remember that his Star Wars stuff HAS all been sold now. We do hope you get that BoShek to go along with the Ephant figure James!

Ephant Mon for trade
Hey Troops, I have an extra carded Ephant Mon for trade. The card itself is in case fresh condition, I can find no obvious flaws. The bubble has one minor ding in the upper right corner. It is more noticable from the side than the front. Overall I would rate this one a C-9. I would be willing to trade for the new Saga Imperial Officer with blond hair, Barriss Offee or Aayla Secura. They would not have to be mint cards since I am an opener. I just want nice figures. If you are interested, let me know.

Sandtrooper Freakynutty reports:
"I figured I'd give a heads up to the site that helped me through so many wave hunts. Due to lack of storage room, I've begun selling off my Star Wars collection on ebay. I have collected every 3-3/4" figure since POTF2 launched back in 1995. All of them are on the original card they were released on, and in excellent condition. There are easy-to-find, hard-to-find, exclusive, and mail-away figures. There are a few select 12" that were too cool not to pick up at the time.

"The first wave is up on the bay now and the second will be as soon as I get the pictures. This may help anyone trying to fill holes or build an army. Either way, any figures that anyone has missed from 1995 to the first set of blue card figures will eventually be for sale in the coming weeks if you're interested. Just look for sales by freakynutty. Thanks to Sandtroopers.com for all their help over the years of collecting and swapping, and Good Luck to anyone interested!"

Sandtrooper Lee reports:
"Hiya Troopers, Its been so long since I had anything to report, I had thought all the supply ships had been flamed before they reached here. I finally found some of the "newer" figs at the Wal-Mart in D'Iberville, MO: Tusken Raider (w/ 'lop' off head), Padme (droid factory), Destroyer Droid, and the Jango Pilot. That means they should be hitting the rest of the area in short order. That's it for this transmission. Take care and be safe, and keep the rest of the Troopers who are fighting for our freedom in you thoughts and prayers."

Sandtrooper Ozziehihorse is back from break:
"Hi troops, it's been awhile but I am BACK! I have a few requests and haves for sale/trade :

"Or I will trade a set of the above for a 12" Plo Koon (or I will buy from someone as well). I also have first release Vader Unleashed for sale/trade. On other related collecting notes, I will buy/trade for most NFL variants and regulars. Please let me know, and it is nice to be back."

Force of the Bay Weekend Edition:
Hey Troops, I was surfing the greatest collection completion tool in the galaxay, also known as ebay and found some great things to fill those nasty holes in your collections. First on the menu is Aunt Beru who took nearly 30 years to make. It will probably take Hasbro another 30 to give us an Attack of the Clones version! Also up were a number of vintage goodies like this one. There are literally thousands of carded vintage in great condition like this Wookiee. Our good friends at Cloud City have once again shown us true rarities. Also check out their other auctions that just went live tonight for some great vintage bargains. I also uncovered this Takara wonder, and I thought only die hard collectors like General J thought freaky things like this were worth major money! Also available now is this awesome Prototype for not a whole lot of money like you see many other places. All this and so much more, 24 hours a day! Also, the weekend brings us some fun, and what better fun then to point out a good old Power Sucka? A very reliable Troop pointed this mother cannukker out and I thought we'd put him right out here on front street for all of you to see his ignorance. Yes they are from the vintage films but they are a far cry from vintage figures! Use ebay to your advantage and while I try to research these sellers, Sandtroopers nor ebay endorses or supports these sellers. Excercise good sense and caution in your travels to ebay. Good luck Troops, Kick A$% and take names! Thanks again to Trooper Brian with the Power Sucka!

Area findings:
Hey Troops, a rainy day in the Chicagoland area and I braved the storm to go figure hunting. Wouldn't you know it, the first place I went had 2 Ephant Mons and that was all I would find the whole day, much to my dismay. Ray Charles could see there are too many crappy figures cluttering the pegs. Does Hasbro not realize that they won't sell if they have been there for 5 months? It is really starting to get on my nerves to see the same stuff everywhere you go. The Ephants were at the Waukegan Target and there were also the 3 new twelve inch figures at the Toys 'R' Us in Vernon Hills Illinois. Maybe things will shape up around here in the next couple weeks but right now this is enough to tick off the Pope! Spice out, hopefully all of you are doing much better than me in your searches!

Sandtrooper Sean 'V' reports:
"Hey troops, I just wanted to tell everybody out there what an amazing piece of art the new Unleashed Slave Leia is! I had to order mine since they'll never show up here in Canada. This is a very nice piece with a lot of detail. Her skirt is made of translucent material that when under the light looks just like real sheer fabric. She's also much smaller than the previous Unleashed."

"What up troops!! Lin Que with the Omaha report.I just got back from Wal-Mart and THEY HAD NEW FIGS!! Well, not really new, they had the Jedi Council Yoda, some Destroyers, Clone Troopers Bikers and Pilots and a Hanger Duel Anakin (the best Anakin so far). Target has the Speeders with Dooku and the Chosen One. I'm seriously considering butchering my Outland Peasant waste of loot and swap the head for that open mouth disgrace. I do have a spare Ephant Mon for anyone interested. Hey, any customizers out there I have a question. I have a Captain Panaka head that needs a top (it just has a peg were the hat was). Anyone know how I make make it look normal with hair and stuff? Thanks!"

Sandtrooper 'Trooper Larry' reports:
"Hey troops! Trooper Larry reporting. Unfortunately, nothing new to post. I havent seen anything new for over a month. The Wally World near me has Cantina Bar sets marked down to 5 bucks, and 12" down to 10. Even the local TRU has been a disappointment. They cut down their stock, to a small section in the corner, that's mixed with Star Trek figures.

"Troops, I am in desperate need of help. My Fianc is going to be having our first child in a few months. I am trying to complete a Vintage Y-wing before our child is born. I will part with a boxed Saga Tie bomber for all of the following parts. 8x- struts, 1x- canopy gun and mount, 2x- nose guns, and if at all possible, 1x- two piece bomb. The bomb is not as important to me, as the other pieces. If you have some parts, please contact me. I do also have an C8 or better, carded Ephant, and a 6" Destroyer droid I will part with. Any help is greatly appreciated."

Sandtrooper Dennis J. reports:
"Well, the new saga Collection I & II figures have been showing up at Wal-Marts here in Jacksonville, Florida the last few days. Unfortunately the Collection 2 figures with the Jedi females and Lama Su showed up on Tuesday and I couldn't go hunting that day. Found the reminisce on Wednesday. But I did find the Collection I figures with Boba Fett, Mace, Anakin and R2-D2 but they all had crushed bubbles. They must have had an accident at the distribution center because every store had crushed cases. Well at least I got my set to open. Also found today at TRU the Vader and Leia Unleashed figures. That's been about it on the Star Wars front.

"I did pick up an extra set of the Boba Fett, Mace, Anakin and R2-D2 to trade. Like I said they have crushed bubbles but are good for openers. Also picked up an extra Eeth Koth, Teebo and Library Droids. These are mint figures. The only things I'm really looking for are Lama Su (x1 Mint), Aayla Jedi (x1 Mint) and (x1 to open), Offee Jedi (x1 mint) and (x1 to open), Boba Fett (x1 mint), Mace (x1 mint), Anakin (x1 mint), R2-D2 (x1 mint) I will take these trades first. But if you are interested, go ahead and send me your trade list and I'll see if anything gets my interest. Until next time. MTFBWY."

For A Trooper, By a Trooper Contest
"Jedijaybird here, things have been kind of quiet for me in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area as far as figures go, but people have been finding a few of the newest assortments around, but not me, although I was able to find an Ephant Mon today. Fortunately I already have a couple of these monstrosities so I am offering it up to any trooper out there who needs it. The condition is pretty good, a strong C8+, with a little wrinkle on the corner but not too bad. I will part with it for only the cost of shipping to anywhere in the continental US!

"You can email me at ephantcontest@sandtroopers.com if you are interested. I will choose one random email by the end of the day Friday the 28th. I will notify the trooper chosen on Monday, right here on Sandtroopers.com."

Thanks MUCH to our good Trooper Jedijaybird in Minnesota for this downright decent contest - SLAMMIN!

Good Golly Miss Molly!!!!

I just received my shuttle from Brian's Toys and it is the coolest Star Wars toy EVER! Actually it is as cool as the 12" Scout Trooper and Speederbike! I never owned this when Jedi came out and to have it now is a real treat! It arrived in mint condition and I am totally happy with it! I recommend ownership immediately! This is the actual shuttle I received, I took this pic tonight.

Amanaman-Dan Joins The Troopers!!!! Click here to read Clue Number 5 in the Scavenger Hunt
Now this is Beyond Belief. I have been a Jawa forum member for about a year now and over the course of that time I was making different images and posting them in different threads. Well I guess I caught the eye of one Sandtrooper Jason who swooped in and put me on a trial basis doing grafix for the Sandtroopers.com. Now that trial period has ended and I am an official member...(sweet). I have been a big fan of Star Wars since the 70's and have been collecting mainly 3 3/4 figures for the last 5 years. I am a loose collector and have built many homemade dioramas to house my collection, this hobby is awesome. I would also like to give a hats off to my friend Spiceowan who heads up the Illinois/Wi. 24/7 local Sandtroopers. He's always lookin to recruit some new troopers, get with Spice if you are interested in joining.

That is all folks, and I'll be seeing you around.

Force of the Bay
Hey Troops, I have been searching the pages of ebay searching for collection fillers and once again the World's online marketplace is the place to patch collection holes. First up is the ever elusive Star Tours figures and not too much more than retail on that one. I usually stay away from newer items but these are wanted by many. With the Easter season approaching, I went Old School with this one. My very first figure many years ago in '79 on Easter Sunday when fate dealt me my future passion. Also on tap are deals like this are a dime a dozen. Comic shops and Collectible stores are going to sink with the emerging power of ebay. Also featured this week is your dose of Coin freakage! Another thing I generally stay away from in this column is custom work, however there are exceptions. This featured auction blew me away! Hey Hasbro, look a cool toy, what a concept. I bet he didn't even use a mold from the 80's! As always Sandtroopers.com neither endorses ebay or the sellers featured here. Use caution and read up on who you are buying from. Good luck Troops, Kick A$% and take names!

Sandtrooper SJediMstr reports:
"Seven stores and $100 later... I made a major toy run yesterday. I found the Anakin Swoop at the Target in Montrose (Akron area), Ohio(only one and no Dooku). The K-B at Summit Mall had the Electronic Jango for $20. The Wal-Mart in Canton had all 3 new Action Fleet Vehicles (I picked up the Republic Assault Ship). To top it off, the same Wal-Mart had 4 unopened boxes of the next wave of Star Wars figures (e.g. SP-4, Flying R2, Boba Fett Pitt of Carkoon [very cool]). A note about the SP-4: if you are looking for a mint card/bubble it will be tough. Within every box I checked, the SP-4 bubble was crushed (packed in very tight). Nice to see new product hitting the shelves ... Happy Hunting!!!"

Sandtrooper John C. with a Dateline Follow-Up:
Now, a Dateline follow-upSappy Expressionless Tantive Troopers:"J, I've taken a closer look at the variants. I knew the hair was different, but didn't realize the entire head was different. You're right. The Imperial Officer's changes between POTJ & Saga are definitely noticeable, as are the 2 diferent sculpts in the Saga line. The Rebel Soldier's changes are more subtle. I can see a difference between between the POTJ one & the Saga figures. I noticed the shape of the mouth is a bit different. On the POTJ, he has a bit of a 'sappy' half-smirk look to him. On the Saga figure is a more serious look. The trooper with the reddish-brown hair is expressionless. His mouth is a straight line. Also, his head seems to be slightly elongated. The black-haired trooper's mouth actually curls down slightly at the ends & his head seems a bit more 'triangular.' Hope that helps you. Feel free to post this to the troops, if you'd like. The case with the blonde Imperial Officer (1 per case) & the black-haired Rebel Trooper (2 per case) is 84861001X collection 2, wave 2. That case also is short-packed with 1 each of Aayla Secura, Lama Su & Barriss Offee."

"Jedichirp here, from Indianapolis, Indiana. I found some new figs again at the Greenwood (Indy) Wal-Mart this morning. I picked up Padme - Droid Factory. They also had Teebo, Rebel Soldiers, and some Tuskens. Tonight I went to Target in Greenwood and found the new Darth Tyranus. It was the only "new" fig that they had. But they did have the leftovers of the Ephant wave. But no Ephant, with about 5 clean shaven Endor Rebels.

The Super Wal-Mart on John Young Pkwy & Sandlake Rd. had tons of new figures this morning including: Lama Su w/ Clone Youth, Barriss Offee, & Aayla Secura. They also had a whole peg full of Ephant Mons (that's the first time I ever saw him on the pegs). I thought you'd like to know. Happy hunting!"

In response to Hey Mon!
I received this only a short while after my post:

"In response to your query, if you take the deeper star case and reverse the "back" orientation (so that it indents outward as opposed to inward), you will find that the modified star case is now deep enough to adequately house and protect the figure. Use small pieces of scotch tape to hold it all together inconspicuously. If you want to go the extra mile, as I did, to secure the edges and corners, take another "back" and trim away the center, leaving only the perimeter, and gently force the trimmed back into place against the previously reoriented back. If done carefully, nobody will notice."
jkjzprice@att.net

Well there you have it Troops, the answer was there (if only I'd excercised patience!) and once again this proves the best collection tool on the internet is ... each other! I just went with the scotch tape and it worked great. Thanks again Jeff, you rock!

Hey Mon!?!
Fellow Troopers, I just received my shipment of Star Cases I ordered a few days ago. I ordered some of the deluxe cases and some of the Star Case 2, this is where I ran into a problem I need some help with. The Star Case 2 does not fit Ephant Mon, the main reason I purchased these. Does anyone know of a case that DOES fit Ephant Mon? They work great for the Star Tours figures that are a bit oversized such as RX-24 "Rex" or WEG-1618, but no dice for the Head of Jabba's Security. Ephant Mon was the best offering for 2002 in my opinion, and it was difficult enough to find one in good enough shape to add to my collection (I am very picky!). I hope someone can help me out. I'd hate to have to go the cheap route and put it in one of those comic-baggies! Maybe they will have to design a case just for this figure. At least everything displayed is now covered, dust kills. If anyone can help, hit me up at spiceowan@sandtroopers.com, and thanks again Troops, Spiceowan out!

Sandtrooper Jedisearch reports:
"Hey guys, I stopped by my local Wal-Mart in Newburgh, New York to find a lot of new stuff on the shelf, pretty much one of everything:
new Obi-Wan, Padme, Tyranus, R2-D2, Mace Windu, Rebel Fleet Trooper, Tusken Raider, and Boba Fett. I did not find however neither Barriss Offee, Aayla Secura nor Lama Su. But did look in other stores in the area, with no luck there. The new figures seem to have hit the Northeast hard, so be on the lookout. Wal-Mart has been cleared out."

disturbed41@hotmail.com

Confirming Western NY's John C's earlier report from Friday, a lot of folks in the Northeast will be very happy if this trend materializes further.

Sandtrooper John C. reports:
"Friday was a good day on the hunt. New finds in Western NY as I made my usual stop at Wal-Mart in Niagara Falls before work & was happy to finally see new figures still in the cases. 5 cases in all, each case was different (collection # & wave #), all sitting on the pallet. I asked the lady whether she would mind if I went through them. Since there was only one case opened, she told me I could go through that one. She went on to tell me how the Hasbro rep. is supposed to come one of these days & pull the old stock.

"As luck would have it (dumb luck, at that), the Hasbro rep. walks in as I'm going through the case. After a short chat, both women approach me & tell me I can open up any of the cases & take whatever I want! Wow! While I was cleaning out the cases, the Hasbro rep. went ahead & pulled all the old figures off the pegs. Needless to say, I am now totally caught up with all the basic figures, 16 in all, including the Imperial Officer & Rebel Trooper head variants.

"A message here, Troops, is patience. They will come. I waited well over 3 months for new basic figures to hit. If the figures are here in Western New York, everyone should be getting them pretty soon. I would also say that a little courtesy goes a long way. I have made it a point to be friendly to the store employees. They're people too. It has paid off for me many times over. Until next time, J, from your old stompin' grounds."

Sandtrooper "Codename: DUSTY" reports:
"I just got back from the TRU here in Bloomington, IL and they just had a delivery. They had all their pegs full of Saga figures, mostly the same ones everyone else has plus a bin with plenty of Maul, Anakin Ambush, and Padme Coruscant Attack. Also of note, they had 3 pegs full of Unleashed figs including Slave Leia and the new Vader. They also had 4 pegs full of POTJ figures. The POTJ figs were all Boshek, Teebo, and Kewtol. Lots of 12" figs as well. Somebody must have picked up the R4's that were there on the 18th (there were like 4 or so of them). Hopefully they will view that as a sale and get some new product out there."

Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction - Episode 2.05 "Did They Really Only Make 5K?"
You thought I had run my course? You should have KNOWN better! - The artist formerly known as Frakes. Get it?

Within this hour we will provide to you infomation about the F.A.O. Schwartz Imperial shuttle that will make you wonder - is it Fact or Fiction?

With all of the hoopla surrounding the Imperial Shuttle we decided to take a look back into the hype that surrounded this particular exclusive. Back when people were trying to get their names on the list at F.A.O. and worried to death that this would be the prize that slipped through their collective fingers this year, why were there only going to be 5,000 produced? A phone representative at F.A.O. told me this figure on the phone when I called and initially reserved mine. With such a handsome price on its head this was sure to be just like when this toy store took a bath on the Episode 1 Fambaa back in 1999, so they probably would run production short. The first time they cranked this baby out the run was small, so how could it possibly be any different this time? It was going to be the Christmas present collectors have been dreaming about for years.

Finally, owning an Imperial Shuttle and not paying hundreds of dollars on ebay! Then it was delayed until the first week in January. Then it was again moved back. Many hoped it was Hasbro hearing the cries of many collectors and packing in two freshly resculpted Imperial Dignitaries, but, no, that would be too much and move the price to the near two hundred dollar range I am sure. Then bankruptcy announcements had Troopers in the Great White North saying it would never happen. The month of truth arrived and the Shuttles began to filter in to happy collectors across the globe. Some were happy, only a few were sad about the shipping process. Our Extensive Poll here at Sandtroopers helped us back this up. The interesting thing was happening a few weeks ago when we were being flooded with reports of Troops receiving extras, yes, extras of this coveted prize. Many claiming they were, yes, billed but F.A.O. sent more than they wished to purchase! How could this be? They only made five thousand? Or did they? With the amount of people that bought one or even two they seem to still be easily available. It didn't stop with the reports of Troopers, our online sponsors such as Cloud City were showing up with photos of this for us to post as news:

So with all the extras showing up, I began to ask myself and other collectors - How many did they really make? I asked a reliable source at Hasbro but said they don't reveal those kind of production numbers. I know the reports from the Troops are reliable as well. I received an extra myself. Hence the wonderful contest we are providing to help the Sturge-
Weber Foundation.

So really Troops did they only make five thousand or are they cooking our goose? We would like to know what all of you think for your response please click here and let us know what you think. Is it fact or over-hyped internet rumor?

Internet Headlines for Sunday, March 23, 2003:
Jango Fett - Prehensile Elbows - SirStevesGuide has added carded images of this Spring's Deluxe figures Jango Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi. View Jango carded, bubble close-up, and card back; or Obi-Wan carded, bubble close-up, and card back. Some caveots here are Jango's magnetic forearms, his collarless neck (again, even after the Kamino escape nitpicking), and Obi-Wan's cloak which smacks of Saga Qui-Gon syndrome (sleeves don't line up with shoulder girdle). The physical play interaction features are present, but can they outdo last Spring's Force Flipping?

Old Forces - Galactic Hunter has compiled an extensive image gallery devoted to an upcoming Imperial Four Pack called "Imperial Forces" that sees Hasbro playing Dr. Frankenstein with six older figure molds. Slap a clean Sandtrooper torso on a CommTech Stormie lower body and call it good. If that doesn't work, there is a dizzy Tantive Trooper behind some AT-ST goggles and throw in another mouse droid for good measure.

Jango and the Indigo Poncho - If Qui-Gon can don a tattered poncho to go low-profile on the mean streets of Tatooine, then Jango ought to do well to remain inconspicuos in a small town neighborhood by wearing a bright blue smock. This one comes from the latest 'Image Attack' from The Official Site.

Only Star Wars Fans Can Make This Happen - Special Realm's JediDaxter has put pen to paper again, writing a letter to Hasbro for a Cinema scene from The Empire Strikes Back, and this petition will need all the support, help, and listing it can get. Try on Imperial Officers (Admiral Ozzel, General Veers, Captain Piett) with Star Destroyer Bridge Base for size. UNITED WE SIGN, or something like that.

Area Report:
Agent Tweeny of the Local 24/7 Trooper Div. Reports that there has been little or no new figure activity in the N. Illinios/S. Wisconsin Area. There have been a couple Padme Amidala Droid Factory Escape and some of the re-hashes like Eeth Koth and Rebel Trooper. However no signs of Aayla, Boba or anything like that. Jango Pilot, Clone Pilot, and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine seem to be littering the shelves everywhere. Hasbro will probably pull them off and put them in a new package and sell them back to us next year. K-mart has followed Wal-Mart's lead and dropped thier 12 inch figures down to $10 and Speeders to $6 as well as next to nothing for some Lego sets. Stay strong Troops, they are coming. Once the scalping slimeballs quit paying $25 U.S. for Aayla Secura she will soon be another Jango Pilot. Patience will prevail here. Also put my name on the list of Sandtroopers who "Support the Troops" and people who are stopping traffic in the street should learn from the history books that are supposed to teach us: If you do not learn from mistakes you are doomed to repeat them. We didn't support our guys in Viet Nam and look what happened. Regardless of the fact whether you want a war or not, it is here. It is time to back our Government and our Leadership that we put in charge to handle such a situation. God Bless America!

Sandtrooper Dennis reports:
"Jacksonville, Fl. Area has been pretty dry for the last few weeks. Three weeks ago found the reminisce of the Aalya wave at one of the 10 Wal-Marts in the area. Got excited and went to all the other ones but they all got the Collection 1 wave 9 figures in (Clone Trooper Pilots, Destroyer Droids, Yoda et. al.). I did get one Lama Su that was left at the one Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart and Target haven't gotten any shipments in since until last Friday. Found the reminisce of the Ephant Mon wave at 2 of the 6 Targets in the area (Ki-Adi Mundi, Clean Shaven Endor Soldier et. al.). I did find 2 sets of the Anakin and Dooku Speeders at one Target the beginning of last week. Picked up a set for me and a set for my friend. It's getting a little frustrating spending all the time and gas money looking for the new figures and usually coming home empty handed. But I guess it just makes it sweeter when I do actually find something.

"I was wondering if someone in the Orlando area could help me out. I need a 12" Plo Koon. I have heard some of the stores at or around Disney have them. If a Trooper in Orlando could help me out by picking one up for me I'll be glad to send you the cost plus shipping. If an Orlando Trooper can help me out E-Mail me!"

Sandtrooper Keith in Vancouver reports:
'Hey Troops, first I wanted to give HUGE kudos to John Poucher down there in Ohio. With his help he has raised me from the depths of despair. I was worried that I would never see a new Star Wars figure again but he has helped me boost my Episode II and Saga collection pretty much from below figure number 40 right up to date, including Ephant Mon. Through the goodness of his heart he also threw in the Toys 'R' Us Silver R2-D2 for FREE !!! This is what Sandtroopers and collecting is all about.

"A quick update from Vancouver, Canada - absolutely nothing. In fact, the major stores like Wal-Mart and Zellers don't have any SW merchandise at all and TRU has had nothing new in 6 months or more. Lastly, I want to send my prayers to the U.S. and Allied troops in Iraq. Unite!!"

Now, a Dateline follow-up"Troopers! I noticed the post about the DVDs. I own this set, Special Edition, and it is HANDS DOWN better than VHS. They have a trailer on each one, but no other goodies. Well worth the money! There are many carded delights available 24 hours a day as well. In addition to the vast line of vintage goods, there are many ways to fill up those P.O.T.F. holes. The Buy it now option rules for cleaning up on awesome sets like that. If you have searched everywhere, search no more. The hard to come ~buy~ items are a dime a dozen at ebay. "There is a new episode of The Imperial Officers' Club up: 'Episode 35: The Search for Piett.' Also remember to check out 'Piett on the Move.' Even though Piett is back, there are still places he got to that have not been posted yet. So POTM will still be seeing a few more updates. Still looking for ideas as to where he's been."

Sandtrooper Steve reports:
"I wanted to let everyone know that I still have an extra FAO Imperial Shuttle available for cost + shipping. $127 plus $15 shipping in the US. The shuttle is still sealed in an excellent condition box. I posted this about a week ago and got some interest, but no one solid."

Trooper Garr reports
"Hey, Garr here!! The Toy Show in St. Joseph Mo at the East Hills mall was very cool as always. I picked up a C-9 or closer to mint Vintage Shuttle for only $150, loose vintage figures for upgrades, a Vintage Rancor and an Empire Strikes Back Hoth Han Solo in pkg. I don't know how many other people go to this show, but if you want the goods for a great price it's worth the trip. I also found 2 Ephant Mon, 1 Endor Rebel Soldier (clean shaven) and tons of Return of the Jedi Vintage cards still in the wrapper, bubble gum included. Shows like this are one of the many great reasons to collect Star Wars! MTFBWY!! Garr out!"

Area report: Lafayette, IN
Hey Troops, I stopped at a couple of places today in Lafayette and West Lafayette. Target had the new speeders. I have to say that Hasbro did another horrible job on capturing Anakin's facial expressions. While not as bad as the "I am extremely constipated" Force Flipping Anakin, this new Swoop Bike Anakin looks like he is about to have a major accident. Wal-Mart on 52 had 6 of the TIE Bombers, but they were yet to be marked down on clearance. I have to admit the paint job looks nicer on the Saga version, but I'm not going to buy one unless they get marked down. No new figures to report at this time.

Sandtrooper Strongbad reports:
"Hey Jason, I dont know whether people care, but in Miami, FL I found most of the new toys so far like the Padme, Tusken Raider, Research Droids and a ton of Trash Compactors. My cousin found the new Mace Windu and is pretty happy with it. If anyone needs some new figures just let me know!"
Strongbad397@aol.com

Thanks Strongbad! Absolutely we care about these sightings, please keep them coming from gorgeous Miami! I'm sure many Troops are still searching, particularly for the Trash Compactors, so thanks for the kind assistance!

Sandtrooper Boba-Brett with a Dateline Follow-Up:
Now, a Dateline follow-up"Boba-Brett with a follow-up. I was able to check out my TRU & Kaybee. Tru had pegwarmers, Luke & Tauntaun (floorwarmers) and 12" Boussh Leia & Han Carbonite. Kaybee had the usual crap but did have the 4-packs with battle droid w/ background.(I know that seemed to be a more difficult fig to find for completist). Also they had all the playskool sets (except the Falcon), but I noticed the card backs they were on were smaller and the "Star Wars" title along top was smaller than the ones I have. Has anybody else noticed this? Throw me a mail if you have any info. Thanks and MTFBWY!"

Sandtrooper Thundahcrackah reports:
"Thanks to Trooper Larry and another great Trooper a week ago, I decided to stop in Allentown, PA South Mall Waldenbooks to pick up the ' Star Wars - Incredible Cross Sections ' book at the bargain price of $4.99 (originally $19.95). There were four there on the bargain table and three left after I got mine, along with a dozen or so of the ' Episode I Visual Dictionary,' showing up again after last Fall's appearance. The friendly clerk told me that they are also getting the Episode II titles, so keep checking Waldenbooks in the near future to see what's worth reading."

My friend Jabba James is selling his Simpsons and much of his Star Wars collection. He has a lot of good lots of figures and vehicles, so read his list. Part of what is up for sale is a large Simpsons World of Springfield (WoS) collection with some of the cool exclusives produced.

James is looking for BoShek and Ephant Mon, carded or loose complete, so let him know whether you can help him with either or both of those figures too!

Sandtrooper Dom reports:
"Yo Troops, I just wanted to say that I found both new bikes (Anakin's and Dooku's) at the local Target in east-central Wisconsin and these are pretty cool figs. I'm an opener and have mounted both bad boys on their hogs and while they look good, I was sorry to see that they needed seat belts. Oh well, I guess safety first is the rule in the outer rim. Also, got the new Boushh Leia and slab-o-Han at the local TRU. They have one left. No 12" robot hand Anakin or 12" Padme. MTFBWY."

Sandtrooper Lin Que with Mutual of Omaha's Aisle Kingdom:
"What's up Troops!! Lin Que with the Omaha, Nebraska report. Still no new Star Wars for 2003. I sometimes run into an Imperial Officer or two and mostly the trash wave 3 deluxe figs (flipping Anakin and Geonosian pod thingie). Deluxe Clone still proving hard to find (I got lucky and found 1 and haven't seen then since!!). I went across the river for a Council Bluffs Iowa run and it was just as pitiful. At Target I saw Action Fleet Slave 1 and Republic Assault ship (one apiece).

"Wal-Mart was choking with junk everyone probably has two or three of. The only redeeming quality was new Transformer Armada figs Thrust, Nightbeat, and Skywarp. They also had new Spider Man action figs and I picked up the ultra kool manga Spider-man. They had lots, so if anyone wants one let me know. Oh, our new Target in Bellevue, NE had Transformer Robots in Disguise Spy Changer for 74 cents !!! Again, any takers let me know. Hopefully this drought won't last long. Peace!"

Sandtrooper Trace reports:
"Hey Troops! Trace here in Austin, Texas with a serious lack of toys on my list. If anyone has seen the Trash Compactor sets, I need them. We have not seen them in Austin except for reports of 1 damaged set at the Hidden Hills Wal-Mart a month and a half ago. That, of course, has long since vanished leaving only empty shelves to restock with 12-inch Zam Wesells and Super Battle Droids. PLEASE help me to find these delicious sets! Keep the faith!!"

"Hey troops! Zuckuss from Kansas City. The latest waves of Aayla are starting to trickle in a case at a time. They're mainly showing up at the Targets around town, while the Wal-Marts are getting in the latest Padme wave.

"I want to ask the troops whether anyone has a 12" Boba Fett for sale, loose or boxed, I'm just going to open anyway. Thanks for the help and the Great Site!"

Sandtrooper 'Trooper Larry' reports:
"Hello Troops! Trooper Larry reporting from North East Ohio. For all you book readers out there, check your Waldens Book Stores to find out what's worth reading. I found the EP1 Visual Dictionary, and the vintage ships Incredible Cross Sections for $4.99 a piece. They also had the Classic Trilogy Visual Dictionary, and EP2, but at nearly 24 dollars, they were a bit outside my wallet's range. As for Toys 'R' Us, I did find an Ephant Mon, finally. They had the new 12" Wave, and 12" Leia and Han. Thats about it for that. I found the new Tusken at Wal-Mart. Thats it for here Troops. It's been pretty dry. Happy hunting!"

You Could Knock a Burglar Unconscious with this Thing if You Threw it Hard Enough- Ephant Mon SANDWATCH Review

Since someone out there actually found Ephant Mon again, here is the Sandtwatch review of the figure everyone loves to love.

This was a Fans' Choice figure that was one that actually pleased the fans. And if you didn't care for it you can wedge it under your door as a stop or put it in your car trunk during a snow storm, prisoners could even use a case of these figures to replace their current water weights in the thug jug. I don't think any of that will be necessary this time around however. The Endor nonsense ends with Ephant Mon.

Sandtrooper JimsJedi reports:
"Hey Troopa's (Boston Accent),I just wanted to give a holla on some new finds lately. Slowly but surely new things have been seen, mostly at Wal-Marts, still nothing but peg warmers at TRU and Target. I found all of the new figures except the Boba and Mace wave. And I will have the funds soon for the Shuttle (I missed out on this as a kid, so there's no way I'm missing out again).

"Can anyone help me find the Unleashed Tyranus and Mace? I cannot find these anywhere. Packaging is not that important since these will be opened. I have plenty to trade. Just shoot me an e-mail. Talk to you all soon. See ya!"

Sandtrooper Jedi Hitch reports:
"Hi Troops! Time to chime in with a report from the Spokane, WA area. Wal-Mart has been getting in more shipments of the new Action Fleet wave, as well as more Rebel Trooper and Imperial Officer figures and the new Library Droid assortment. Target has some more of the newer figures, but all they had left by the time I got there was Padme and Tusken. They have also marked down all of their 12" figs down to $13.98.

"Kmart is also getting the new figures in, as well as the recarded Teebo and Eeth Koth. For those of you who have a Shopko in your area they have the new Unleashed Vader and Leia. They're priced at $17.99 but they are having a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale through the 15th (the sale also includes all of the new Lego sets). Toys R Us is a pile of shame right now except for the new 12" figures. If it wasn't for the Series 3 Muppet figures they would really bomb. It's getting easier to find the newer figures around here, and I hope that everyone else starts having as good of luck as we are here. That's it for now."

Sandtrooper Rafael - Master of the Sai reports:
"At my local K-B in Brownsville, TX they had the Unleashed jango Fett, and Darth Maul for $9.99, and the 12-inch Jango Fett for $19.99. They had two left after I took one, no newer figs. Both Wal-marts and Target didn't have anything new. TRU had a lot of Unleashed Count Dooku, and the 12-inch Leia w/Han Solo in Carbonite."

Sandtrooper Jimmy1236 reports:
"I have some POTF2 things I would like to sell. I have 2 Jabba's Dancers cinema scenes, right out of a case in excellent condition, and the three beast sets from the re-release of the films: the Ronto with Jawa, Jabba with Han, and Dewback with Sandtrooper. The three beast sets all have one corner that is bent because of the box they were shipped to me in, and the back of Jabba's box is indented a little. Those three would be good for openers I'm sure. I would like to sell these for $10 each if anyone is interested. Thanks."

Sandtrooper Jetfire reports:
"Interstate Trip Report: On my trip to see Chewbacca and Logray, we stopped at a few stores in search of some of the newer figs!

Target (Rosemont, IL) - NOTHING!!!! A few Accessory sets, but nothing else besides that. Was more amused with the line of people outside to see The Undertaker next door than I was with Target's selection.

Walmart (St. Joe, MI) - Lots of Destroyer Droids and Clone Pilots!! I couldn't believe it. Here my local Wal-Marts are stocked with Zam Wesells and in a smaller town I find these gems. Also picked up a few Cantina sets in the Clearance Aisle for around $7 (can't remember exact amount).

Walmart (South Haven, MI) - Once again, a little town Wal-Mart has the goods. A ton of the Cantina sets!!! Not marked down, but there was a lot of them. Also had Destroyer droids and Yoda - Jedi Council. If you're in the area, hit this place up.

"Hope that helps some Sandtroopers out there! Anyone that still has an extra TIE Interceptor, please hit me up! Signing off!"
