Mos Eisley News Brief: More Clearance Finds!
I was on the hunt for more clearance opportunity in Rosemont, IL yesterday and found the Kmart stores had all Star Wars figures at 50% off and this included the Vintage Collection figures. There was also the remote control Hailfire Droid marked down to $22 and change. As much as I hate to give this chain any business in light of their announcement to close 120 stores nationwide, there are deals to be had as I noticed the stack of B-Wings were gone! Update: It appears this was isolated to this one store, as another Northern IL Kmart location had nearly everything at full price.

Mos Eisley News Brief: Follow-Up on SW Currency!
Got Mint? Our friends at StarWarsNewZealand report: "Back in August we covered the press release from NZ Mint about the legal tender Star Wars coins being produced for Niue. They are now starting to be distributed and, because they are made locally, we've got a couple in hand and are able to share photos. Close inspection reveals a few aspects not immediately evident in the early promotional images. The coins ship shrink-wrapped to a cardboard backer. The backing cards are specific to the character on the coin, with a brief bio listed along with the descriptive details of the coin (weight, size, uncirculated condition etc) and an edition number (out of the 50,000 issued per design). The feature face of the coin portrays an original trilogy hero or villain in full colour - the character sculpt is actually recessed and subtly embossed (more noticable with some characters than others). The obverse side of the coin exhibits Raphael Maklouf's portrait of the Queen Elizabeth II." For more, check out the

It seems just when you think the Star Wars saga couldn't break any other records, the film continues to be sky high in popularity in what is closing in on a forty year anniversary for A New Hope. Just this past week a Panavision PSR 35mm camera, which was owned by Hollywood actress Debbie Reynolds (mother of Carrie Fisher), went to an undisclosed buyer during an auction of her film memorabilia collection. Mos Eisley News Brief: Final 2011 Session!
Latest Q&A from HasbroWe have received our final batch of questions for the year 2011, as another year of the program concludes. In this last session we asked the following: How soon until we see a Republic Gunship with lights and deploying AT-RT as seen in the most recent Clone Wars story arc? Why in the hell should I pay $25 dollars for a Taun Taun in "vintage" packaging when I can buy the Search for Skywalker pack that comes with 2 additional figures plus the aforementioned Taun Taun for the same price?
