Year in Review 2007: Happy New Year Troopers!
07 was heaven, in 08 we will DOMINATE!The thirtieth celebration of Star Wars has been one hell of a ride as we met several new friends and allies along the way. Our Dewback Patrol was able to cover not only the United States, but we even managed to go International in our effort to unite the world of Star Wars collectors. The message of unity has been spread throughout the galaxy and we would have never imagined what the journey would possibly bring. We have done our best to chronicle the past year and I apologize in advance for it being so long. The past year was so incredible and massive and there was so much we did as a website during the party that was the thirtieth anniversary celebration. We're also hoping to add Dewback Patrol: A Year in Photos as we've put together a photo gallery of some of the highlights from the past year. I would like to thank every single member of my staff and their significant others as your sacrifice is appreciated by us all. I would once again like to thank all of our sponsors, affiliates and especially all of you great Troopers who make this website the special place it will continue to be.

Sandwatch Action Figure Review: Putting the Action back in the Figure!
Hey Troops, our inspection of wave 6 is nearly complete and most collectors have been pretty happy with the offerings from the thirtieth anniversary collection so far. One of the more impressive offerings of the wave would no doubt be 4-LOM. This is in my opinion the only way they re-release an action figure. Can we hope to see more Bounty Hunters remade in 2008? Feel free to offer your own feedback about the T.A.C. collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Target Westboro has done a mini-reset and they put out some new stuff like Mighty Mugs (Vader, Fett, Han, and Chewy), key chain sets (Qui-Gonn and Maul, Leia and R2, can't remember the 3rd set), and they had McHans, McVaders, McKillers, etc. as Wal-Mart in the same town had the "new" Cantina sets and Galactic Heroes. Update from Sideshow Collectibles: Premium Format Anakin NOW Available!
The latest in the Premium Format figures is up for sale at Sideshow Collectibles.com. You can now order the Exclusive version of Anakin Skywalker! The Exclusives thus far have always been too distracting if you had to settle for the standard version. However this time around they put the pressure on as Anakin has two alternate head sculpts which in my opinion would make the exclusive the one to have!

Order 66 Part II: Coming soon!
It's been a story that has been buzzing for weeks as two overseas websites have confirmed production of another series of Order 66 2-packs. The German site 4-inches.de has posted a couple of photos of what is believed to be the first known photos and earlier today Chinese-StarWars.com posted four photos of what appears to be some really slick looking Troopers that will be headed our way in 2008! We've also been informed (originally by PotF2.com) via a 2008 rumor report at Rebelscum these figures will be packed as follows: Anakin Skywalker & ARC Trooper, Luminara Unduli & AT-RT Driver, Tsui Choi & BARC Trooper, and Obi-Wan Kenobi & ARC Trooper Commander. Come join the discussion with other Troopers as it appears fans won't stop until the last of the Jedi has been hunted down!

Real Men wear Pink!“Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays fellow Troopers! At the Hasting's store in Killeen, Texas today I saw the Battlefront packs and the EE Elite Forces of the Republic packs available, so if you don't want to order online, you can check there. Also, the local Target still has many of the AT-RT battlepacks & Tie Bombers and at least 4 of the Clone Wars ARC-170's left. The Wal-Mart’s have the Jabba's Band packs at each local store. KMart is having a great sale on Star Wars items, buy 2 get the 3rd FREE. The down side to this is that they are charging $8.59 a figure. TRU has the McRebel Trooper wave in (Padme seems to be the pegwarmer) and plenty of the Dagobah X-Wings and other exclusives still left, including the FX sabers. That's all from central Texas, starfox signing off.”

Sandtrooper dustrho Reporting In:
S.C.A.L.P. Weapons SupplierHey troopers! The holidays are almost here, and it's easy to notice because all the local retail outlets have their shelves and pegs packed with Star Wars toys! I was lucky enough to have found figures from the latest wave today at the Target in Oswego: Destroyer Droid (with shield), Padme Amidala (Naboo Senator) and Voolvif Monn. I've been really impressed with what has been coming out from Hasbro, as they've been creating a lot of new figures that haven't been done yet. Sure, some of them are characters that have been done to death, but at least those are new sculpts with new outfits (e.g. Padme Amidala). Target also had a bunch of new Star Wars Tranformers, Galactic Heroes, LEGO sets and more. I'd really like to see the shelves and pegs full like this all the time, not just for during the holiday season. United We Find!

Force of the Bay: No Deer, just a Dewback Attack!
With the holiday season in full swing, it was time to take the Dewback surfing on the bay once again. There is no doubt it is the number one place to find that something special. There is never a short supply on things that are rare or very unique. It might be that old magazine your mother refused to buy at the checkout, or putting the pieces back together of something that has been lost for over thirty years. It might not be the Wal-Mart exclusive, but you don’t have to be Jake & Elwood to put the band back together. You might not have to be on steroids to get into Cooperstown either, but you won’t get into the 501st wearing that! It doesn’t matter if it’s a true legend with vintage bling, it ain’t nothing but a thing when you have the vast world of Ebay. You can even find traces of Sebastian Shaw that haven't been replaced with Hayden Christensen. There is just about anything you can imagine to make your world complete! So suck back another swig of Jawanog and capture that life-sized bounty that will have her calling the divorce lawyer and make this a Christmas you’ll never forget! Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to you Troopers on your searches, Kick a$^ and take names!

I walked in and they had 3 cases of wave 8 and a case of 7.5 (the repaint wave)on the pegs. I grabbed 3 Mc reds for some friends of mine. The Clone Trooper with the poncho had a bent card. United We Find.”

What did you Troopers think of the General after you opened him up for inspection? Feel free to offer your own feedback about the T.A.C. collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Forgetten Jedi or Snubbed Actor by Fans?
Scottish actor Ewan McGregor was shocked when he recently visited a Star Wars filming location in Tunisia - as wasn't recognised by a single fan. The small town of Matmata, which featured in 1977's Star Wars, is visited daily by busloads of tourists - but when the 36-year-old stopped in the North African country during his epic motorcycle journey earlier this year (07), not one of the film's devotees spotted him. McGregor, who plays Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequels, says, "(We went to) the place where Luke Skywalker grew up in the films. I was standing next to my own poster there - the place was full of Star Wars fans, and no one even recognized me." For more check out the full story. Did fans really forget Ewan or are they still slighted by his comments last August? He regrets being in the Star Wars movie franchise and it was his least liked movie he worked on.

Sandwatch Action Figure Review: Screaming for Rehash!
Hey Troops, we begin our inspection of wave 6 to shake things up just a bit. Most of you can guess how thrilled I was to see Han Solo once again being crammed into our collections once again. How in the world would Han Solo with torture rack get my thumb to point north? It's pretty easy to see Han will have a figure for every second he has in the trilogy by the time 2018 rolls around! Feel free to offer your own feedback about the T.A.C. collection. Until then enter if you dare!
