Fellow staff member Boba Binks has added two new sets of images to the Gentle Giant Mini-Bust section. The newest additions include Chewbacca and quite an interesting character. Gentle Giant's holiday item this year is Max Rebo at his Red Ball Organ wearing a Santa hat and little Christmas lights that light up while he is playing the classic "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" carol. This is limited to just 200 pieces and not available to the general public. Check out these new images and the rest of the mini-busts here. |
We update our Sandwatch Menu once again and this time it's a true delight in the form of Darth Maul. The Hasbro version back in 1999 wasn't too bad but you can really see where Sideshow went the extra mile. The Lords of the Sith line is not giving fans much time to decide if they would like to own the exclusive pieces. They're being sold out at a rapid pace and Sandtrooper Josh and Boba Binks put together a this page with the details. |
David Prowse best known for his role as Darth Vader will be performing a peace song by Les Floyd and will sing baritone on the project. The Star Wars legend has been taking vocal classes for years and News & Star is reporting that the project should be completed before April of next year. We can only hope this doesn't cut into his convention schedule! For more check out the entire article here. |

Word is out that Action Figure Express has a new exclusive Gentle Giant mini bust - Grey Coruscant Clone Trooper. And for the first time, this Clone will have interchangable heads - one helmeted and one without. As hot and fast as the other Troopers have sold out, you can bet an edition size of 2500 will not last long. Thanks to forum member Gran3131 for the heads up. Stop by and discuss this hot topic with other Troopers in our forums. |

We have yet another round of Q & A questions you Troopers have asked direct from Hasbro. Any chance on seeing the Hunt for Grievous again? Is it Komari or Quinlan Vos? Will we ever see Clone Assassin or Clone Blaze Troopers? Take cover and then head for the forums and take a look at what they had to say. |

I just received an email from Sideshow that the Inclusive Edition Bib Fortuna is expected to be in stock at the Los Angeles warehouse in the next 10-15 days. So if you placed your order, now would be a good time to double check your credit card info and make sure that everything is in order for your shipment. Jabba can't be far behind now either! |
Return of the Jedi actor Michael Gilden (who played an Ewok) as well as roles on NCIS, CSI, and Pulp Fiction died in an apparent suicide at his home in Los Angeles. He was 44. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. |
Sideshow Collectibles announced yesterday that over the weekend they had lost a staff member. Diane Kamahele passed away on Saturday, December 9th of apparent heart failure. Diane had worked for Sideshow for the last seven years and was the first salespersons Sideshow history as well as the first public relations liaison. She leaves behind a husband three children ranging in age from 4-8. Diane was truly a nice person. Having had the opportunity to meet her a couple of times she was nothing more than super to this Trooper. We at Sandtroopers would like to pass on our thoughts and prayers to her family and Sideshow for their loss. |

Are these a new found collector favorite or just another paper weight from the big H? For more browse the page which features these two figures that seem to be a hot property on the retail front. |

Sandtrooper Dan has discovered some images from the latest ToyFare Magazine. While he's no Quinlan Vos, I guess we can pick and choose our battles later. At least it's a new figure! For more log into the forum and check out the pictures in the thread. While they are only prototype shots I do like what I'm seeing so far! Expanded Universe fans chalk up yet another victory! |
