Sandtroopette Lisette Reports:
East Coast Patrol“Hi Troopers: Lisette from NYC reporting. It's been a while since I've reported in. I'm hoping a fellow trooper can help me. Although I've ask several friends and family members who live near Wal-Mart to pick up the Separation of the Twins action figures as well as the Clone Wars DVD Action Figure Sets, they have not been successful, so I'm asking any fellow trooper out there, if you come across the action figures or the DVD sets, if you can pick me up 2 of each at cost plus shipping & handling, I would greatly appreciate it. In the past months, I didn't have much opportunity to do my toy runs as I was expecting my first little one. My little Padawan learner made her appearance 2 1/2 weeks ago. I can't wait for my little one to get older to introduce her to the joys of Star Wars.”

Congrats on the birth of your Padawan! Great to hear from you!

Sandtrooper Erik a.k.a. ADayintheLife1979 Reports:
“Hey, fellow Troopers! Just wanted to share some info about pricing and release of the Carkoon wave of SAGA 2006, for those that haven’t been able to find these yet. Target: SAGA, for the moment, appears to be starting at $6.99 a figure. The stores in Central Illinois are carrying them, but the cases move fast. Toys ‘R Us: Again, looks like the price here is $6.99. These are also popping up in Central Illinois stores. Wal-Mart: At each of three stores I went to in Peoria and Bloomington today, there were pegs listing the SAGA figures at $5.88, but no figures. I inquired a stocker, who told me that yes, they had the figures in, but no, he could not get them for me. BUT, the figures were to be released on January 1st at around 10 p.m., when they did the restock. Fellow Troopers that have not found this first Carkoon wave may want to head to the local Wally World tomorrow night around stocking time.”

Sandtrooper Sean Crawford a.k.a. Yakface Reports:
Not Dancing, but music with the Stars!Well It might have taken longer than all six episodes of Star Wars to make but... the appetizer has arrived to kick 2006 off. Yak Face and J’ Quille from (ROTJ) have released their first CD. Under the name of Tik and Tok it is electronica music for the adventurous. Sounds like two androids in an out of control spaceship about to crash land on a planet populated only by sex-starved female aliens! The CD is called Slightly Deranged it is an EP of 4 tracks (20mins). You can hear a sample of the music here. These are two guys who have lost the plot and are have one hell of a lot of fun treat yourself to the experience. For more info visit their official site.

Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews: The Saga Collection Begins!
Hey Troops, Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews have been updated with the first figure from the Saga 2006 Collection #001 Princess Leia - in Boushh disguise. I'm very disappointed that the fine people at Hasbro are moving in the direction of Original Trilogy but I can't say the first installment was all that bad. What's your take on the direction of Star Wars figures? Feel free to offer your own feedback about the Saga collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Sandtrooper Darth Knotty Reports:
“Happy Holidays to all involved in the Sandroopers.com crew...I just wanted to say thanks to Sandtroopers.com for making this one of the most memorable years for a Star Wars fan. Being that I just joined up back in early May, right after I found out about the site at CIII, and every since, it's been a blast. Not only are you the best source of information in regards to collecting, but the people that take part in the postings, forums and simple assistance from one collector to another have continued to astonish me. I have already made two very good friends due to trades and transactions, and a third with Dustrho, as he always helped me when I was having problems navigating the site due to being a computer illiterate idiot! Thanks to all at Sandtroopers.com, and Happy New Year to everybody!”

Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C Reports:
Are they still making these?“First off, I want to wish everyone a delayed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. With that, this morning I found the new 2006 OTC figures at 2 Wal-Mart’s here in Huntsville. One Wal-Mart had the Carkoon Fett and the other didn’t. I must say, what a let down. Just a few figures I have already. I am very excited about the R5-D4, and some of the Hoth Wave. That’s all for now.”

Sandtrooper SoCal Rod Reports:
“Hey Troops, it has been a while since I last chimed in, but I had some luck yesterday. Found the new Pit of Carkoon way at my local (Temecula) Toys "R" Us. They must have just put out the case at 10:30 as I pretty much had the pick of the litter. Got five of the six figures minus Chewie. Nothing against Chewie, but at $6.99 I'll wait till he is warming the pegs at $1.99 before I buy another Chewbacca in chains. The mini holographic figures are a neat little addition and it makes for getting there right after they stock the shelves all that more important. I'm sure in time certain figures with certain mini holograms will be more sought after then other figure-hologram combos. I am putting early bets on the Boba Fett with Darth Vader holographic mini figure as the early on collector i.e. ebay favorite. That is just an uneducated guess! Today, I also got my Medicom Real Action Heroes Darth Vader in the mail today from StarWarsShop.com. It was on sale for $149.99, which is the cheapest I have seen it anywhere and I've been checking everywhere for months looking for the right price. Until next time, Merry Christmas Troopers!”

The Best of 2005 for Star Wars
Darth Tater & VaderThe Official Site has recently written up a great article about the ten best moments in the Star Wars universe for 2005. The tenth slot goes to Darth Tater, who was one of the more difficult items for me to track down for my collection, but with a little bit of patience I eventually discovered him. Real Men wear Pink!“News from Central Texas, the new Saga 2006 has arrived in Killeen, Texas today. The Wal-Mart has put out 2 cases, because I saw at least 4 of each of Boba Fett, Han Solo Carbonite, Boushh, Barada & Bib Fortuna. And the little holograms will drive your crazy, each Boba Fett(as well as the other figures) had a different hologram figure with it. I grabbed the Boba Fett w/ the hologram Fett. Sandtrooper Don Reports:
“Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Store report from Tampa, Fl. Found the new large size Titanium collection at the Wally world on Waters ave. They also have the new smaller 5 packs of the Titanium’s. Almost no figures. The Target had a fresh case of the Utapuan Shadow figures. Have been looking for these for a month. I bought 1 and left the rest. Too expensive for what they are. Back to the large Titanium collection. I'm really mad that they didn't stay with the old action fleet stands. Why the change all of the sudden? Why screw it to a large shelf-eating base encased in plastic? What are they thinking at Hasbro? This I'm sorry to say is a deal breaker for me. I was looking forward to collecting this line, but after seeing what they have done I don't think I'll be buying anymore. I guess I'll have to send Hasbro a friendly E-mail. Anyone else agree? Hope everyone makes it through the holidays safe.”

Sandtrooper Darth Pharoah Reports:
Goes down Souf!“DarthPharaoh checking in. It’s been a few weeks but there hasn’t been much to report. The Twins and DVD packs barely hit around here and were gone. I only got the Cody 3 pack thanks to another local collector. Scalpers hit those hard around Atlanta. Otherwise the shelves have been either bare or full of Vader’s and countless Neimoidians. On the good side however, the 2 new Titanium Ultra ARC-170 and Droid Tri-Fighter showed up yesterday at my local Wal-Mart. This line is impressive as can be. These are extremely detailed and realistic. Other locals and myself have also nailed down a scalper store and have gotten the word out to other local collectors to boycott (at least that was the nicest thing that seem to be settled on amongst other, shall we say, non-traditional ideas!). Keep up the good fight and remember.... Death to all scalpers!”

Sandtrooper JediMCor Reports:
“I haven't reported in to Sandtroopers for a long time, probably since the beginning of the year. Been traveling a lot for my job. With all the stores in my area the action figures and other Star Wars items were here then gone. The shelves at TRU, KB Toys, Kmart’s and Wal-Mart’s are pretty bare right now, no site when the latest figures will show up. Separation of twins was here for 2 weeks, then gone forever. Exclusive DVD Clone War 3 Packs never showed up at any of my 4 local Wal-Mart’s. Now I am waiting to fill some gaps in my collection. Also I am wondering if there is a fellow Sandtrooper that could help me out with the latest star tour figures and also Mickey/Yoda action figure at cost too. If there is anybody that can help, please drop me a line.”

Sandtrooper Starfox Reports:
Real Men wear Pink!“Happy Holidays Troopers! Here's what I have/have not found on my recent toy runs in Central Texas. Both the Harker Heights & Killeen Wal-Mart stores have the Separation of the Twins figure packs in abundance. They also have many of the Animated Clone 3 packs, but these seem to be moving fast. Both stores also saw the Bly wave with the Brown striping, but they were gone almost instantly, saw my first Tarkin figure finally but still no final 5 figures yet. Target put out a bunch more of the Lava Obi-Wan and Vader yesterday at $12.99, where they did a clearance on those same figures 3 weeks ago at $8.98. They also put out another case of the Utapau Shadow Trooper. I saw one lonely Coruscant Battlepack left on the shelf, still full price, but all of the ROTS Star Cases are on clearance for eight dollars and we still have the Kenobi glass with figure, heck we never saw any glasses past this wave.

Other than that, Target basic figures have been reduced to 2 pegs that are practically empty. Kmart has absolutely squat, although last Thursday they had Palm Talkers at 50% off, but nothing left on the shelf really, you would think they would stock these items for their sales! TRU had some Mega packs, but nothing of interest that wasn't still on the basic figure pegs, which have not been restocked in over 2 months! They do have a bunch of the Millennium Falcons still. KB Toys have run their course and the pegs are flooded with old figures at $6.99 each (ouch) so they will be sitting there for a while. I can't think of anything else that is news worthy to report, but I do still have some figures left for dirt-cheap prices, check the forums to see if you are interested in anything. Well, that's all from central Texas, Merry Christmas to all the Troopers and a big ol’ Hook’em Horns for Texas going to the Rose Bowl for the National Championship! Starfox signing out…”

Update to Gentle Giant Guide: Got Troopers?
Could you get a better choice than these two guys!We have had the opportunity to update our Gentle Giant Mini-Bust guide. Boba Binks has added both Squad Leader and Sandtrooper Sergeant. Even though these both have a larger production run of 15k each, you can bet they will go quick. In the past anything Trooper usually does. The weathering is amazing as well as the detail that went into the armor and backpack. The extra step in allowing movement in the head was another huge plus, but you'll decide for yourself.

Could you get a better choice than these two guys!Perhaps the most impressive aspect of these pieces could be the interchangeable parts that allow you to choose from a few different poses. If you were one of the lucky Troopers that scored the limited Celebration III, complete your set today! The "three is a crowd" rule does not apply. Move along! Special thanks to Andrew's Toys for these pieces. Visit Andrew's Toys today for all your Gentle Giant Collectibles!

Update from Sideshow Collectibles: Sideshow wants You!
The crew at Sideshow Collectibles are preparing a Q &A this week in regards to our Star Wars 12" figure line. They would like to solicit questions from collectors, and thought we may want to let our Troopers know. Questions will be directed to Tom Gilliland, our Creative Director, and will end up in a Sideshow Podcast next week. The content will probably end up on their site as well. Sideshow will credit the individuals whose questions end up in the Podcast (unless they otherwise request!). If interested you can submit questions via email to asksideshow@sideshowcollectibles.com with the subject line: Star Wars 12" Figures. The deadline for submissions will be Monday, December 19th, 2005 at noon Pacific time.

Images Reloaded: Separation of Twins Exclusives
Got kids?Hey Troops I have added some images to our gallery of the Separation of Twins Exclusives. While we all may be familiar with what’s inside, perhaps we can all be reminded by the infant figures that are included that it’s really the thought that counts. If you cannot seem to turn these at Wal-Mart or a Trooper hasn’t provided assistance in the forums you can still pick these up at Action-HQ where they are in stock and shipping. We’d like to thank them for providing the ammunition for our images section.

Force of the Bay: Jingle all the Way!
With the holidays coming up very quickly, it is time for another edition of Force of the Bay to come to our rescue. Whether it’s a gift idea or simply a wish list, the world of ebay is a great place to get gift ideas. If you are looking for a replacement piece or simply that one little part that would really light up your life. So ignore the rat race and sit back and do some window-shopping from your own home. You can have your cake and eat it too, but the possibilities are truly endless. That vintage figure in the most pristine condition, maybe even the ones you didn’t know about or just slipped by. No matter the concept, bring your best game to the bay and try your luck. Why invest in property or mutual funds when you can drop all your hard earned cash into a 35k dollar Greedo mask! Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to all of you Troopers in your searches over this Christmas season. Check that list and check it twice. Darth Spice will keep you Troops informed of whose being naughty or nice! Kick A#$ and take names.

Sandtrooper Steve Reports:
Damn Proud!“I've run out of options here in Baltimore. I've searched 9 Wal-Mart locations and none of them are carrying the Animated DVD Figure Sets. I'm looking for 1 of each set. I have plenty of references available. Sandtroopers.com has come through in the past and I'm hoping that it comes through again. I really can't believe these sets aren't available around here.”

Armored with the essentials and a pen!Hi Troopers, Just wanted to let you all know that Popthought.com published an interview they did with me. This is now live. While I'm a little nervous about doing things like this, I have another interview scheduled for December 11th as with another Star Wars site in the United Kingdom. Interviews always make me feel so awkward, but these were fun to do. Stay warm and start thinking about those New Year resolutions!

ROTS DVD Reviewed... Again
Revenge of the SithYes, the big money-making movie that came out earlier this year, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith," made it to DVD and became available to the public on November 1st. The DVD has been reviewed many times, but every now and then you'll come across another review of it that's made its way onto the Internet. So, I thought I would share with you the one from the Hollywood Reporter, and you can check out their full review of the DVD here.

More Upset Galaxies Subscribers
More Upset Galaxies SubscribersWell, I knew I would hear more people complaining about the major change that Star Wars Galaxies subscribers experienced recently, but I am quite shocked at how many people have just given up on the service to go play other online gaming services (i.e. World of Warcraft). LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment recently changed the overall way you play Galaxies, instead of playing strategically by building your character, it's now more of a shoot 'em up style of game. The overall verdict is that LucasArts and SOE failed to realize that the game was highly successful, but now with the changes they're losing customers. Read more about this here, and share your thoughts about this our forums.

Area Report: They've hit, Almost!
Hey Troops just wanted to let you know that the first wave of figures, series 1 of the 2006 Saga figures have hit Target in St. Petersburg, Fl. They are not on the pegs yet since they will be put out with the reset after Christmas. I was told by my friend who is a manager of toys at Target that the last few numbers on the box dictate what holo figure is pack inside. They have three cases and each have different numbers on the end. They all contain the same basic figures but each case comes with all the same holo figure. The case he let me take a peak at all have the Han Solo holo figure. And as a note the Barada is one to a case.

Negative Vibes for Fans of Galaxies?
Negative Vibes for Fans of Galaxies? If you've been playing Star Wars Galaxies ever since its existence, it's probably fair to say that you've grown quite accustomed to it. You've got the gameplay down pat, to the extent that you're more than likely a master at the game now. Unfortunately that has recently changed, thanks to LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment, as they have revamped the entire combat system, and by doing this it has really upset a great number of long-time subscribers. Has this affected you in any way? Are you still thrilled playing the game? Is it better now after the work they've recently done with the game? Share your opinions over in our forums, and read more about what SOE has done to the game here.

Clone Wars II DVD is Out!
Clone Wars II DVD is Out!Well Troopers, the wait is finally over. The DVD we've all been waiting for is finally out. The DVD we've been waiting for is none other than Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume II. It's been out for one full day, and hopefully by now you've checked out all the great features that they included in this second volume. I haven't had the time to pick it up yet, but I'm sure it's just as good as it was on TV. Some features on the DVD include "Connecting the Dots" (a featurette that takes audiences inside the creative process and shows how the series connects to Episode III), concept art, storyboards, sketches, and video game trailers for Battlefront II and Empire at War. Log into our forums and let us know what your thoughts are about the DVD. Was it worth buying? You can also check out the full review of the game at Comingsoon.net's website.

Sandwatch Action Figure Review: "Everything but the British accent"!
Hey Troops, Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews have been updated with Revenge of the Sith figure #55 Obi-Wan Kenobi - with Pilot Gear. With a body design that may have been put together in the early eighties, why did it take Hasbro so long to kick out an Obi-Wan that was done this well? Is this the best figure to date? The brilliant folks at Hasbro have a couple plans for you to pick this one up, will it be this version or feeling the holiday spirit will you go with the child? Feel free to offer your own feedback about the RotS collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Sandtrooper Steve Reports:
“Here is what I have listed so far. I will have another 100 or so items start on Friday and I will have about 400 items start on Monday. All the auctions start at $0.99 and the buy it now items are at awesome prices. I am not a scalper. All items came from private collections or wholesalers. For any Sandtroopers (with in the U.S.) that buy from Swoop_Jockey, they will only pay $3.85 for 1-5 basic carded figures. Larger items or more than five figures will have shipping deals as well. Also all the troopers that buy from swoop_jockey will be put in to a drawing for an exlcusive Holiday Jawa’s Set mint in box. Troops must identify themselves that they saw this here to be put into the drawing. The drawing will take place December 14, 2005 and will be shipped to the winner on the 15th. I can't thank Sandtrooper Sithryan enough for showing me this website!”

Sandtrooper Bobafred Reports:
Desert Warfare“Bobafred chiming in from the San Fernando Valley, in Southern Cali. Just wanted to wish all the Troops, and Troopettes the very best this Happy Holiday Season! Separation of the Twins hit Thursday Morning out here at our Los Angeles Wal-Mart’s. Very nice card backs I might add, I managed to grab a case but unfortunately they were all somewhat damaged. I am hopping this was not a one time drop shipment on these exclusives cause Boba's got to make this right. Do any of you Troops out in Boston, or Indy know of continuous shipments on the Twins? On a side note I here that December 8Th is the release date for the Clone Wars Commemorative 3 pack, and I am hitting Wally World daily just in case of a pre-release. These two 3 packs will be very highly sought after so don't drop the ball on these two! Bobafreds Xmas wish list. Unleashed Anakin EIII (Damaged or open, Lil' Jangofred is! pressing me on this one) The following in package...Unleashed Padme, Anakin 1st issue, VOTC 3 ? Luke, and for Trooper, and Troopette Mr. & Mrs. Clause out on the planet Hoth if your reading this... Toy fair Vader, and 12-inch Plo Koon would bring an ear to ear smile! So you know the lingual, if you can help out this cause, then drop me a jingle lots to trade just send me your want adds! Jorge Perez out in Mass, lets make this happen, Jedi Dom don't turn to scum and Villainy, I have info on how to bust-up the chase, again drop me a line!”

Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C Reports:
Are they still making these?“Hey Troops, I found the Separation of the Twins at 2 Wal-Mart’s this morning. The case is very odd. It contains the exclusive figures and basic figures, which is something I have never seen from Hasbro before. I was there at the first Wal-Mart and a stock person was putting them out.”
