“Hi Troopers: Lisette from NYC reporting. It's been a while since I've reported in. I'm hoping a fellow trooper can help me. Although I've ask several friends and family members who live near Wal-Mart to pick up the Separation of the Twins action figures as well as the Clone Wars DVD Action Figure Sets, they have not been successful, so I'm asking any fellow trooper out there, if you come across the action figures or the DVD sets, if you can pick me up 2 of each at cost plus shipping & handling, I would greatly appreciate it. In the past months, I didn't have much opportunity to do my toy runs as I was expecting my first little one. My little Padawan learner made her appearance 2 1/2 weeks ago. I can't wait for my little one to get older to introduce her to the joys of Star Wars.”joelise13@earthlink.net Congrats on the birth of your Padawan! Great to hear from you! |
Well It might have taken longer than all six episodes of Star Wars to make but... the appetizer has arrived to kick 2006 off. Yak Face and J’ Quille from (ROTJ) have released their first CD. Under the name of Tik and Tok it is electronica music for the adventurous. Sounds like two androids in an out of control spaceship about to crash land on a planet populated only by sex-starved female aliens! The CD is called Slightly Deranged it is an EP of 4 tracks (20mins). You can hear a sample of the music here. These are two guys who have lost the plot and are have one hell of a lot of fun treat yourself to the experience. For more info visit their official site. |
“Here's a little detail from year-ending mission today.Wal-Mart & Target (Gurnee, IL) “have the Star Wars Transformers & custom choppers in stock.” TRU & Sears (Gurnee, IL) “has the 2006 Carkoon wave in stock for $6.99 but not for long. That's it and until next year, United WE find!” Update 1-02: “I just got back from Target (Waukegan, IL) & they had 2 cases of figures from the Carkoon wave for $6.99 each, SW Transformers for $14.99 each, & Unleashed Battle Packs in stock.” wrightcombo@juno.com |

“Greetings to all and Happy New Year. Just a bit of info The Toy Department at your Local Targets reset the week of the 1st. I actually started my stores the other day. We did the Action figure isle and it is first to lead off again. In addition to basic figures they are the unleashed, galactic heroes, lightsabers, titanium, and ships. We did not have all of the items as matter of fact we put out two cases of basic saga last week (GOT MY LEIA) and they were gone within a few hours. Just keep an eye this week and get the good stuff.”kmclark14@comcast.net |
We update our images section today with the Clone Wars Commemorative DVD 3-packs that are exclusive to Wal-Mart stores. Sandtrooper Boba Binks has captured all six new figures for our viewing pleasure. If you are still in pursuit of these two sets make sure you check by the electronics sections as well as the toy aisles. These sets are a very good way to keep the Cartoon Network animated line alive! United We Find and good luck Troopers. |

“Thanks again Sandtroopers.com! I posted a few weeks back that I couldn't locate the animated Clone Wars DVD Figure 3 packs. In no time, Mr. Robert M from Florida found me a set of each pack and I even got them in time for Christmas. He even wrapped up each set inside the shipping box. A big thanks to Robert and United We do indeed find!”Slavefett1@comcast.net |
“First off, I want to wish everyone a delayed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. With that, this morning I found the new 2006 OTC figures at 2 Wal-Mart’s here in Huntsville. One Wal-Mart had the Carkoon Fett and the other didn’t. I must say, what a let down. Just a few figures I have already. I am very excited about the R5-D4, and some of the Hoth Wave. That’s all for now.”c-ryan@mchsi.com |

The Official Site has recently written up a great article about the ten best moments in the Star Wars universe for 2005. The tenth slot goes to Darth Tater, who was one of the more difficult items for me to track down for my collection, but with a little bit of patience I eventually discovered him. Check out the "Best of 2005" article here to see who or what ended up in first place. |
Hey Troopers! The holidays are upon us, and with that we have received photos from one of our loyal Troopers here who wanted to show off their collection. The latest addition to our Collections section is from Jedilukes, who has a strong passion keeping his collection neat and organized. It's hard to say what my favorite item is that's in his collection, but I would have to say that I really like that blow-up Darth Maul chair. Very cool! Check out all the pics of his collection here. |
Our friends at Hyperspace Japan.com have sent images of the upcoming Exclusive Star Wars Kubrick Stormtrooper Han Solo & Luke Skywalker limited to 2000 pieces each. “News from Central Texas, the new Saga 2006 has arrived in Killeen, Texas today. The Wal-Mart has put out 2 cases, because I saw at least 4 of each of Boba Fett, Han Solo Carbonite, Boushh, Barada & Bib Fortuna. And the little holograms will drive your crazy, each Boba Fett(as well as the other figures) had a different hologram figure with it. I grabbed the Boba Fett w/ the hologram Fett. Early Christmas for this Trooper, so get out there and look, they are hitting! Merry Christmas, Starfox signing out...”starfox@hot.rr.com |

Hasbro.com updated their website today with a preview of what is yet to come from the Saga Collection for 2006. Our own S.C.A.L.P. weapons supplier has written up a preview and a complete editorial of the eight new figures. Be prepared for a little bit new and much more that is not. Also announced was the Skirmish at the Senate battle pack that will be available sometime this spring at Target stores. For the official update from Hasbro.com please click here. |
“DarthPharaoh checking in. It’s been a few weeks but there hasn’t been much to report. The Twins and DVD packs barely hit around here and were gone. I only got the Cody 3 pack thanks to another local collector. Scalpers hit those hard around Atlanta. Otherwise the shelves have been either bare or full of Vader’s and countless Neimoidians. On the good side however, the 2 new Titanium Ultra ARC-170 and Droid Tri-Fighter showed up yesterday at my local Wal-Mart. This line is impressive as can be. These are extremely detailed and realistic. Other locals and myself have also nailed down a scalper store and have gotten the word out to other local collectors to boycott (at least that was the nicest thing that seem to be settled on amongst other, shall we say, non-traditional ideas!). Keep up the good fight and remember.... Death to all scalpers!”djohnson@internap.com |

“Here's a little detail from my mission today.Wal-Mart (Gurnee, IL) “has the new Unleashed Battle Packs. I did not see the Separation of the Twins or the Clone Wars 3-packs. If they were in stock, then they must be sold out every time I show up.” Target (Gurnee & Waukegan, IL) “has marked down there Lava figures to $8.99 I think.” wrightcombo@juno.com |

“Happy Holidays Troopers! Here's what I have/have not found on my recent toy runs in Central Texas. Both the Harker Heights & Killeen Wal-Mart stores have the Separation of the Twins figure packs in abundance. They also have many of the Animated Clone 3 packs, but these seem to be moving fast. Both stores also saw the Bly wave with the Brown striping, but they were gone almost instantly, saw my first Tarkin figure finally but still no final 5 figures yet. Target put out a bunch more of the Lava Obi-Wan and Vader yesterday at $12.99, where they did a clearance on those same figures 3 weeks ago at $8.98. They also put out another case of the Utapau Shadow Trooper. I saw one lonely Coruscant Battlepack left on the shelf, still full price, but all of the ROTS Star Cases are on clearance for eight dollars and we still have the Kenobi glass with figure, heck we never saw any glasses past this wave. Other than that, Target basic figures have been reduced to 2 pegs that are practically empty. Kmart has absolutely squat, although last Thursday they had Palm Talkers at 50% off, but nothing left on the shelf really, you would think they would stock these items for their sales! TRU had some Mega packs, but nothing of interest that wasn't still on the basic figure pegs, which have not been restocked in over 2 months! They do have a bunch of the Millennium Falcons still. KB Toys have run their course and the pegs are flooded with old figures at $6.99 each (ouch) so they will be sitting there for a while. I can't think of anything else that is news worthy to report, but I do still have some figures left for dirt-cheap prices, check the forums to see if you are interested in anything. Well, that's all from central Texas, Merry Christmas to all the Troopers and a big ol’ Hook’em Horns for Texas going to the Rose Bowl for the National Championship! Starfox signing out…” starfox@hot.rr.com |
We have had the opportunity to update our Gentle Giant Mini-Bust guide. Boba Binks has added both Squad Leader and Sandtrooper Sergeant. Even though these both have a larger production run of 15k each, you can bet they will go quick. In the past anything Trooper usually does. The weathering is amazing as well as the detail that went into the armor and backpack. The extra step in allowing movement in the head was another huge plus, but you'll decide for yourself. |
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of these pieces could be the interchangeable parts that allow you to choose from a few different poses. If you were one of the lucky Troopers that scored the limited Celebration III, complete your set today! The "three is a crowd" rule does not apply. Move along! Special thanks to Andrew's Toys for these pieces. Visit Andrew's Toys today for all your Gentle Giant Collectibles! |

Announced today, there will be a new exclusive figure coming our next spring from Target stores. This one, packaged in the new OTC card, looks to be something a little bit different than some of the other ones they've done in the past. I will be looking forward to it's release and purchase! Also the next wave was announced for Star Wars Transformers. Three fan favorites which will attempt to lure you into buying this line. For more, click here for additional details! |
Hey Troops I have added some images to our gallery of the Separation of Twins Exclusives. While we all may be familiar with what’s inside, perhaps we can all be reminded by the infant figures that are included that it’s really the thought that counts. If you cannot seem to turn these at Wal-Mart or a Trooper hasn’t provided assistance in the forums you can still pick these up at Action-HQ where they are in stock and shipping. We’d like to thank them for providing the ammunition for our images section. |

“I've run out of options here in Baltimore. I've searched 9 Wal-Mart locations and none of them are carrying the Animated DVD Figure Sets. I'm looking for 1 of each set. I have plenty of references available. Sandtroopers.com has come through in the past and I'm hoping that it comes through again. I really can't believe these sets aren't available around here.”Slavefett1@comcast.net |
Hey Troopers! The man who plays Darth Vader in most television commercials and public relations events for Lucasfilm, C. Andrew Nelson, was able to make an appearance on Comedy Central recently. Him and Chewbacca were on David Spade's television show, The Showbiz Show, which airs on Thursday at 10:30pm (ET). To see the video clip that has Vader and Chewie teaming up, having fun, and playing gags on old ladies click here. |

Hi Troopers, Just wanted to let you all know that Popthought.com published an interview they did with me. This is now live. While I'm a little nervous about doing things like this, I have another interview scheduled for December 11th as with another Star Wars site in the United Kingdom. Interviews always make me feel so awkward, but these were fun to do. Stay warm and start thinking about those New Year resolutions! |
Yes, the big money-making movie that came out earlier this year, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith," made it to DVD and became available to the public on November 1st. The DVD has been reviewed many times, but every now and then you'll come across another review of it that's made its way onto the Internet. So, I thought I would share with you the one from the Hollywood Reporter, and you can check out their full review of the DVD here. |
Well, I knew I would hear more people complaining about the major change that Star Wars Galaxies subscribers experienced recently, but I am quite shocked at how many people have just given up on the service to go play other online gaming services (i.e. World of Warcraft). LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment recently changed the overall way you play Galaxies, instead of playing strategically by building your character, it's now more of a shoot 'em up style of game. The overall verdict is that LucasArts and SOE failed to realize that the game was highly successful, but now with the changes they're losing customers. Read more about this here, and share your thoughts about this our forums. |

Our friends at Hyperspace Japan.com have sent images of the Revenge of the Sith Pepsi Bottle caps that will be making their way to the tops of Pepsi bottles. There will be twelve different characters to choose from. Visit Hyperspace Japan.com for all of the photos. Thanks to Sandtrooper Mitsu for the heads up! |
If you've been playing Star Wars Galaxies ever since its existence, it's probably fair to say that you've grown quite accustomed to it. You've got the gameplay down pat, to the extent that you're more than likely a master at the game now. Unfortunately that has recently changed, thanks to LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment, as they have revamped the entire combat system, and by doing this it has really upset a great number of long-time subscribers. Has this affected you in any way? Are you still thrilled playing the game? Is it better now after the work they've recently done with the game? Share your opinions over in our forums, and read more about what SOE has done to the game here. |
Well Troopers, the wait is finally over. The DVD we've all been waiting for is finally out. The DVD we've been waiting for is none other than Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume II. It's been out for one full day, and hopefully by now you've checked out all the great features that they included in this second volume. I haven't had the time to pick it up yet, but I'm sure it's just as good as it was on TV. Some features on the DVD include "Connecting the Dots" (a featurette that takes audiences inside the creative process and shows how the series connects to Episode III), concept art, storyboards, sketches, and video game trailers for Battlefront II and Empire at War. Log into our forums and let us know what your thoughts are about the DVD. Was it worth buying? You can also check out the full review of the game at Comingsoon.net's website. |

“Hi Troops, Donna from So Cal. Target seems to be getting a new assortment of basic figs with the reissued Tarkin and Ask Aak. Finally was able to snag at K-mart the deformed Darth Maul and Stormtrooper. At Wal-Mart, I found 3 of the 4 Unleashed Battle Packs. (Of course, clone pack was gone) And thanks to another local collector, I have the Separation of the Twins and the variant Gree. No early signs of the Clone Wars DVD sets unlike when I did find the ROTS DVD sets early. Happy Hunting to all!”theloneswlady@adelphia.net |

One of the hottest selling Star Wars games of all time, Battlefront II, has now been out for over a month, and if you purchased it you've probably already put in a lot of hours into it. What are your thoughts about the game? Is it better than the original version? Was it everything you've hoped it could be? What are the pros and cons of it? Was it worth fifty dollars? We'd like to hear your thoughts about it, so be sure to chime in over in our forums. |
“Bobafred chiming in from the San Fernando Valley, in Southern Cali. Just wanted to wish all the Troops, and Troopettes the very best this Happy Holiday Season! Separation of the Twins hit Thursday Morning out here at our Los Angeles Wal-Mart’s. Very nice card backs I might add, I managed to grab a case but unfortunately they were all somewhat damaged. I am hopping this was not a one time drop shipment on these exclusives cause Boba's got to make this right. Do any of you Troops out in Boston, or Indy know of continuous shipments on the Twins? On a side note I here that December 8Th is the release date for the Clone Wars Commemorative 3 pack, and I am hitting Wally World daily just in case of a pre-release. These two 3 packs will be very highly sought after so don't drop the ball on these two! Bobafreds Xmas wish list. Unleashed Anakin EIII (Damaged or open, Lil' Jangofred is! pressing me on this one) The following in package...Unleashed Padme, Anakin 1st issue, VOTC 3 ? Luke, and for Trooper, and Troopette Mr. & Mrs. Clause out on the planet Hoth if your reading this... Toy fair Vader, and 12-inch Plo Koon would bring an ear to ear smile! So you know the lingual, if you can help out this cause, then drop me a jingle lots to trade just send me your want adds! Jorge Perez out in Mass, lets make this happen, Jedi Dom don't turn to scum and Villainy, I have info on how to bust-up the chase, again drop me a line!”orozco91331@yahoo.com |
“Hey Troops, I found the Separation of the Twins at 2 Wal-Mart’s this morning. The case is very odd. It contains the exclusive figures and basic figures, which is something I have never seen from Hasbro before. I was there at the first Wal-Mart and a stock person was putting them out.”c-ryan@mchsi.com |
