Our Sandwatch Guides are updated with the Target Exclusive ARC-170 Elite Squad. This is no doubt a great set with a Clone Pilot and two Troopers painted with the shark deco that was previously seen on the Toys R Us Gunship. Hasbro couldn't pass up a chance to send it our way once again and they even dropped an Astromech on us to make this set a battlepack worth your buck. Thanks again to Sandtrooper Boba Binks for another great feature. United We Find! |
The creativity of Star Wars fans will continue to reach no limit as the San Diego Tripoli Rocket Association has built and launched a 23-foot long model of an X-Wing Fighter! There were over 40 men and 2500 hours put into the construction but how would this seven thousand dollar model hold up on the first flight? Find out more at Wired.net and make sure to check out the You Tube clip as well! Good thing Luke didn't use this version when taking it to the Death Star. |

The latest and greatest issue of Star Wars Insider (issue 98) should be arriving in your mailbox very soon if it has not made it already. Found mine in there today. Haven't had a chance to read through it yet, but this issue does appear to have a subscriber cover and a newstand cover, as mine was different from the image shown here. It appears they are pulling out all the stops in getting Hyperspace members to renew! |

It's bombs away once again as our Sandwatch guides are having Hasbro for dinner after eating Gentle Giant for breakfast. We can thank the bullseye for giving us the TIE Bomber for a third time. It has been quite a while since the TIE Bomber has been in stores but this may be the most appealing to the collector of today seeing as its the smallest most compact package design yet. Without a big window to damage we're guessing this new Bomber will not fly around very long! Thanks again to Boba Binks for laying down the cover fire all day long! |
Our Sandwatch guides are updated with the latest Hasbro Target Exclusive. The AT-RT Assault Squad is a blessing for those of us who slipped up and only bought one or two during the original RotS release. We can thank Target for giving us two AT-RT's and three Clone Troopers to add to our armies. The Battlepacks continue to get bigger and better. Even with a new paint scheme it's pretty easy to see the AT-RT Assualt Squad is well worth your money. |

Our Sandwatch guides are looking at our first featured piece of the Jabba the Hutt statue set that has recently hit the streets. We can also really appreciate the buy two get a piece free concept Gentle Giant Ltd. did to promote thier Jabba the Hutt statue. The band set has an amazing amount of detail, and we look forward to the upcoming installments of this amazing set. Thanks again to Boba Binks for the latest update. |
Our Gentle Giant Busts guide has been reloaded with the latest release for their mini-bust line. With an ominous presence and a very sleek look the Coruscant Senate Guard was an obvious reminder from the past! It was a no brainer for this selection to the mini-bust line. Thanks again to Boba Binks for the update to the guide. |

The set includes: Anakin Skywalker & Assassin Droid, Baron Soontir Fel & Derek “Hobbie” Klivian, and Koffi Arana & Bultar Swan are enough to make any Expanded Universe fan grab that Dewback and head for the trenches. Not too long ago in a galaxy far, far away, the characters of Family Guy were part of a new Star Wars experience as they were in Family Guy Presents: Blue Harvest. If you haven't seen this before, it's a parody of Star Wars: A New Hope, and an absolutely hilarious one at that. If you are a Star Wars fan and unfortunately missed its recent TV appearance, you'll be able to get it on DVD January 15th. The standard edition will be $22.98 and the special edition will be $34.99. Read more about this here. |
Here’s an idea I have had for some time, but needed the curved bar sections for. Carefully cut the cardboard bar out of the Cantina Diorama and replace it with the plastic bar. It makes for a great Cantina display. It'll have to do until Hasbro decides to give us an updated version. United We Find!eness@izoom.net |
Darth Revan, Darth Malak and Pre-Cyborg General Grievous are three of the coolest looking figures Hasbro has produced in a long time. When I first saw pictures of these, I knew I just had to have them. Sadly, these are three figures I haven't found yet, and I'm curious to know if other troopers are having just as hard of a time finding them as I'm having. I am really wanting to add these to my collection, and I'm hoping to find them soon without having to pay too much money for them. So far, I haven't heard too many people finding them, so share your thoughts and experiences with these three hard-to-find figures. Head over to the forums and cast your vote now. |

UC Berkeley researchers have developed the world's first radio carbon nanotube. So what do a bunch of scientist do with their new radio? They play the Star Wars Theme music, here is a movie of the carbon nanotube tuning into the John William's Classic. The first song actually to be played on the radio carbon nanotube was The Beach Boys', Good Vibration. Get your geek on in the forums and your let fellow troopers know how you feel about this new radio. |
The Team from Hasbro has once again returned the questions asked from the Sandtroopers.com / the Jawa.com Community. Not so fast on that AT-TE Troopers! Are we ever going to see a Super Articluated Rebel Commando? Are we ever going to see any new pilots? Take cover and head for the forums and take a look at what they had to say. We also received a round for the Jawa.com which is slated for an mid-November return! Do you have a question for the Hasbro Q & A Team? Login and leave your question in the forums. We'd just like to remind those Troopers in the immediate area to mark the calendar as the Chicago Toy & Game fair is set to get underway in less than 10 days! We hope many of you Troopers can make it out to join us for this event. Our friends at Federation Toys have informed us they will be sponsoring a charity breakfast at the show. The grand prize will be a signature edition Boba Fett blaster rifle from Master Replicas! Some of the guests include: Anthony Forrest (Sandtrooper), Orli Shoshon (Shaak Ti) and Dan Madsen (Dams Denna). Members from the 501st Legion will also be on hand. For more on this event visit the Chicago Toy & Game Fair website. |
Our Sandwatch guides have been reloaded tonight with the latest McQuarrie figure to hit the streets. While this figure is nothing too new to our images section, we felt the Signature Series deserved an expanded format. The old smoothie Han Solo has been added to the page, even though he's not looking too suave. Thanks again to Boba Binks for the update to the guide. |
Our Gentle Giant Busts guide has been reloaded yet again with the latest release for their mini-bust line. There is no doubt the Jawas were a great choice, you can immediatley see the difference between the two. Yes, they are different colors and for some reason the one with the blaster is glossy and the other is flat. Which is more than reason enough to add these little scavengers to your collections! Thanks again to Boba Binks for the update to the guide. |

For those of us who happen to love Star Wars and has an Xbox 360 or Sony Playstation 3, it's probably safe to say that you already own both of the Star Wars LEGO games by LucasArts. I have both and haven't yet completed them 100%, but maybe I should hold off on those and pick up the new Star Wars LEGO game titled LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. There will be several new features in the game that aren't in the previous two, and if you have an Xbox 360 there's supposed to be several new achievements as well. I'm curious to know how many troopers here are planning on picking this up, so let us know if you're getting it or not. If you already own these games, why would you purchase this then? |

Our Gentle Giant Busts guide has been reloaded with the latest exclusive, the Spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The light up feature is quite a unique concept to integrate into this line but I'm guessing the results so far are a bit mixed. With a limited run of 2000 it's pretty amazing to see the item is still being listed as in stock! Thanks again to Boba Binks for the update to the guide. |
