Mos Eisley News Brief: 2012 Package Revealed!
We went to NY for what? The Official Site has revealed the new sleek look for 2012. I must say it's a bit surprising they didn't do this a couple weeks ago in New York. It really does bring a new level of excitement for the 3-D releases, and hopefully we'll get an idea what's going to be inside of those packages. For more check out StarWars.com for the

Sandtrooper Dennis Reports: Finally New Figures in N. Lake County!
24/7 S.C.A.L.P. Trooper“Hey Troops here's my store report for February, 2011. Today I finally saw new Vintage Collection Star Wars figures for this year. The Walmart in Antioch, IL had Wave 5 in stock minus Yoda on the ROTS card. There was also Luke from Wave 3 on his new card. The Walmarts in Round Lake, IL & Gurnee, IL also had the Wave 5 figures plus the ROTS carded Yoda. I also noticed at all the Walmarts I was at, Vintage figures still have the $7.96 price tags but the Clone Wars figures are now $7.88. Target in Gurnee, IL was the only store that had Wave 4 (AOTC) figures. There was only 1 Obi-Wan, 1 Mace Windu, & 1 Super Battle Droid. That's all for now, later Troops!”

Sandtrooper Starfox Reports:
Don't mess with Texas,or Starfox“Hey Troopers, finally something new to report in central Texas. At the Harker Heights Wal-Mart this morning I found 2 cases of the AOTC wave of vintage figures, most of the cards were a little bent up or crushed bubbles, so I only bought a few for openers. The Killeen Wal-Mart had the other vintage wave with Gree, Stormtrooper, ANH Luke, & R5-D4, etc and a few of the newest Clone Wars wave including Trooper Heavy, R7-A7 & the new Cad Bane with TODO 360. KMart had At-At's on clearance for $50, but they didn't last long and no sign of Trooper Lock yet here locally. That's all from here, starfox signing out.” Update 2/19: Lock was found deep in the heart of Texas!

Mos Eisley News Brief: I AM your Father!
Great job Tyler! My wife recently purchased a Star Wars Collectors Puzzle set for my son Tyler for Valentines Day. There are two puzzles in the set and I was amazed at how quick he put the 300 pieces together. Another thing that really made me proud was how he knew every single character and their details! I guess it should come natural for the lad but it's good to see my oldest son still love Star Wars more than anything. We gave it to him at 7 at night, and he finished it within a day. It's a "very cool puzzle, and it even has George Lucas." He wanted to save the larger one for this weekend and share a couple photos. I'll be looking forward to helping out while we watch the Clone Wars!

Sandtrooper Spotlight: Life-Sized CIII Emperor For Sale
Just letting people know that the Emperor Palpatine Throne with Palpatine that I made for Star Wars Celebration III is up for sale. If you couldn't tell from my photo gallery featured last month, I need to make some room in the house and start downsizing.

  • If you plug the Throne in and flip the switch on the right control panel of the Throne all the lights do light up.
  • The throne does swivel left and right thanks to some heavy duty military bearings.
  • Luke's Lightsaber included.
  • The robe is the one in the attached pictured, it is a heavy weave very similar to the one used in "Return Of The Jedi" and not the cheap one I had on him at Celebration III.

I am asking $2300.00 or Best Offer which puts me about even of the costs and time I have into this piece. I cannot ship this this due to the size and weight at a reasonable cost so I am willing to deliver it in person as long as it is within a day or two drive and some gas money. Please pass this on to anyone you know that might be interested. If you want to see how I created this piece, I created a page for it on my personal website.
