 Most “Star Wars” fans know that the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and other favorite characters did not end with the movies but have continued on in many books and comics. “Star Wars” author Ryder Windham has written more than 60 Star Wars books. His most recently published books are “The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader” and “Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force.” Windham will speak at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the Community Center, 346 Judson St. He will share his secrets of writing “Star Wars” stories with children and adults and will also read a chapter from an upcoming novel featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi.  Anyone who listens to podcasts offered by Apple's iTunes needs to check out one of the most recent ones from G4 (X-Play's Daily Video Podcast), as they sat down with the Project Lead of Lucasarts' upcoming game, The Force Unleashed. Haden Blackman (Project Lead) explains to G4 how the game has so many new technologies, which will be the future of Star Wars gaming for years to come. Some of the information is already known, but he does reveal a couple things you may not have heard of yet so it's definitely worth looking up in iTunes. The show to look for is titled "All Access: The Force Unleashed," was released on 2/20, and runs just over three minutes. |
 As we know the Force Unleashed is among one game Star Wars fans are looking forward to. The same can be said for their Hasbro figure counterparts.  Diamond Select had several new 18" talking action figures on display today at Toy Fair, including ANH Obi-Wan, Hoth Han Solo, and Darth Maul! Each is 18" tall and has anywhere from 15 - 20 points of articulation. M.S.R.P. on these will be only $75! I also heard that a Darth Sidious, young Obi-Wan and Smuggler Han Solo will be available as well. No photography was allowed, but this Jedi Luke was shown in a magazine advertisement that I scanned.  We take our first bite out of the Big Apple with our report from the ground floor of the Hasbro tour today. It appears we as collectors have quite a bit to look forward to this year. It seems like they are really going out of their way to please collectors and children alike. The line will take many turns this year and we look forward to sharing what we have learned so far today.  Due to the great feedback on the first MOC that I've done for the LEGO store at Bridgewater Mall in New Jersey, I've been asked to build a new one to replace it. The theme this time is Hoth which many will recognize as a composite of previous scenes that I've done and this will be on for the next month or two. |

 Our Sandwatch Guides receive a massive update in the form of the Sandtrooper statues from Attakus America. Both pieces are amazing replications of the Sandtrooper and the Sergeant. Another interesting aspect of Attakus is the low numbers for their products. The Sandtrooper is just 1500, but the Sarge is limited to a mere 750 pieces worldwide. This is the first addition of any Attakus product to our massive guides and admittedly we are a little biased in our critique. | “Greetings from Texas fellow troopers. At the Wal-Mart in Killeen, TX this morning, I found several new items. The new Evolutions packs were out, 4 different ones to include the Fett Legacy, Sith Legacy, the Force Unleashed Apprentice and the Jedi one. Also at this same store was the newest wave of Mighty Muggs to include ROTS Obi Wan, Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and Mace Windu. At the Harker Heights Wal-Mart there was the new wave of comic packs to include the Clone Commando/Super Battle Droid, the Mouse/Basso pack and the Lt Judland/Shan packs, plus a lot of the Wal-Mart exclusive comic packs still. No more signs of wave 1 figures those, they came and left in a hurry. Found several of the new titanium ships at Wal-Mart also, to include the AT-OT and several others, but I hate the price increase on these up to $6.76 now. The latest video in Vanity Fair magazine has given us just another teaser to try to take away the feelings of the extended wait.
