“Troops, I just wanted to touch base and let the world know I am still hunting figures, chewing bubble gum and kicking a$%, unfortunately I am all out of gum! Seriously, I had yet another surgery on my foot Feb 03, 2005. That now is the 3rd foot operation to go along with the 5 knee operations, 3 back operations and hip surgery. See kids what a head on car crash (1998) and football can do to a Sith Lord! It doesn't matter.... Since I have been on leave from work I have been driving around with the crutches and hunting figs. Customer service is amazing when they see the crutches! Hell I am saving them to use again when (EP III-ROTS) midnight madness rolls along.South Florida PLEASE move over the 6'6 injured man needs to be let in first to check out the fresh, minty, new merchandise! Get the job done, whatever it takes! I did want to pass along the info that Wal-Mart out at Sawgrass (Sunrise, FL.) had the Sneak Preview Anakin's Jedi Starfighter in stock. Eight to be exact. I am still caught up figure wise and getting ready for the onslaught around the corner. Hey Troops? Why hasn't anyone EVER emailed me back concerning the Insider being mailed without a bag? Has anyone talked to them? Have a working phone number, etc? Hey I remember when Sandtrooper's started you guys would "give away" some neat things donated by people. I still like that. In fact I have some extra figs lying around and would like to donate them to give away. Troops what do you think? I am not talking a vinyl-caped Jawa here but something to look forward to in your mailbox. I think everyone should donate a fig here and there, it's fun and we all have a lot to be Thankful for. I am thankful for the Original Trilogy Collection! Good job Hasbro! Well take care Darth Spice and friends. If the trace is correct I will find those figures quickly my Master! Troops MTFBWY! Dallas Cowboys 2005-Attention Philly fans. I have 5 Dallas Cowboys' Super Bowl Championships DVD's to view. Let me know if you?re interested.” Dallas888@msn.com |
Rumor is running wild about whether or not founding father George Lucas will have a cameo appearance in the upcoming Revenge of the Sith. Sandtrooper Dom tipped us off to a website called Row M.com that has a photo of George in some rather strange looking wardrobe. Here is an excerpt from the story. George Lucas will be seen on screen as an extra in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith this May. Lucas will finally be visible as an extra in a crowd scene this time. Mild spoiler warning applies! |

Two new images have just been added to our Revenge of the Sith section. Unfortunately this isn't a major update since there are only two new images, but these are ones I haven't seen anywhere online yet and they're still worth checking out. Thanks to other members of the S.C.A.L.P. Intelligence Network for the new images! Spoiler material does apply! |
Stage and screen star Jay Laga'aia will command the Sagamore Ballroom stage as Celebrity Host for Star Wars Celebration III this April 21-24 in Indianapolis. For more on this vist the Official Site. It's good to see we'll have high security at CIII, we look forward to the continued guest list as well. Thanks to Sandtroopette Boushh for the tip. |

Are you going to Celebration III? Are you planning on buying anything and everything in sight? Well, you better save your money. The long list of Celebrities from all six of the Star Wars films will be there in full "Force." The list grows bigger everyday with more and more names being added. This could be your last chance to get some of these autographs. You could have the chance to ask each character their experience in the films, and be able to treasure that moment for the rest of your life. You can ask Ray Park aka "Darth Maul" how cool was it to be a "Sith" with the first double lightsaber in the Star Wars Saga, to asking Garrick Hagon aka "Biggs Darklighter" what was it like working in the first film, when there was no backstory at that time. The questions are endless. So make sure you ask the ones that you've been dying to ask all of these years, your destiny awaits, I have forseen it. Stay tuned for more names to be added. MTFBWY at CIII!To see the list in its entirety read the lists that were made Wednesday and Thursday. |
Yes, I know I just posted about Star Wars: Republic Commando, but this is going to be one of the hottest games of the year and I just found yet another review of the game. Kristan Reed from Eurogamer.net has given Republic Commando the look over, and seems to be quite thrilled with it even though he gave it a lower than expected score. Read the full review here. |
GameSpot.com has recently posted the Designer Diary #7 for the upcoming video game, Star Wars: Republic Commando, and this will be their final designer diary entry since the game will be released on March 1st. Writer Ryan Kaufman discusses his involvement in the development of this Star Wars shooters central characters, which happens to be the Delta Squad. Kaufman compares the story of Republic Commando to Band of Brothers, where the individual missions and battles play out in the context of a larger, off-screen conflict. |
It is apparent after reading this diary that writing Republic Commando was not an easy task. Kaufman stated, "I think the end result is a tough, scrappy game that gives you a look at a Star Wars no one has really seen before." To read the seventh and final diary entry click here, and don't forget to talk about this in our forums. |
"What's going on everyone? Found the latest and last of what will be new in stores until the new Revenge of the Sith toys hit on or around April 2nd. I found the three new Unleashed at the Worcester, MA Target on Lincoln St. I picked up IG-88 and the Stormtrooper. I couldn't afford all three, so I'll have to go back for Aurra Sing. With less than two months to go until Celebration III, everyday the smile on my face gets bigger just thinking what lies ahead. Memebers of the staff, myself included will be on hand, and would like to know who else plans on heading to Indy. All I can say is lets try to meet. I would like to meet as many members of this site as possible, shoot the s*$t, take some pictures and enjoy the surroundings. If you are planning on attending give me a shout at Jimsjedi@aol.com and lets get the Sandtroopers party rolling. Later Troops and Troopettes." |
Fellow staff member Boba Binks has added another image to our Gentle Giants visual guide section, which happens to be Han Solo as Stormtrooper. The detail on this bust is amazing! We look to expand on our Gentle Giant Guide in the very near future. We hope 2005 brings in a larger audience to one of the fastest growing lines in Star Wars collectibles. |
To celebrate the 100th issue of the Total Film's movie magazine (based out of the UK), they have decided to have their front cover feature Anakin Skywalker morphing into Darth Vader. The 172-page issue will feature a preview of Revenge of the Sith. Total Film goes on sale today. Read the full story here. |
The Official Site has a great video clip of how Ewan McGregor becomes Obi-Wan Kenobi. McGregor has played the role of a much younger version of Obi-Wan in the first two Star Wars films, but for Revenge of the Sith this will be the closest he'll be to portraying the Obi-Wan Kenobi the late Sir Alec Guiness played back in the original trilogy. This outstanding movie is free to all (not specific only to Hyperspace members), and I would encourage everyone here to view this movie. It's very well done, and is a great way to start the early working day too! Read more about this and see the video here. |
I have finished adding yet another page to our Revenge of the Sith section. I've added some new action figures that we haven't seen yet, Micro Vehicles, and I even threw in a bunch of pictures of those plush figures. If it weren't for the fact that our website was down yesterday, I would have had these images posted sooner for your viewing pleasure. Hope you enjoy all the new pictures! “Well, it has been quite a while since I have posted, as well as shopped around, and I felt I needed to get back out there and look. Despite the rampaging streets, now considered rivers, the tornadoes, yes, tornadoes in So Cal, and the high winds, I managed to venture out into the wet wide open in search of things I have yet to possess. So far, and mainly at Toys R Us, I have picked up the Sneak Preview figs, all the Animated, save the blue Clone Trooper, and the Cantina wave. I have even seen the new Sneak Preview Starfighter. Nothing else! Whatever happened to the post OTC wave that included the Sandtrooper, Stormtrooper, etc? I have yet to see a Pablo Jill, or even the newest Unleashed figures, which include IG-88, Stormtrooper and Aurra Sing. Better yet, what happened to the Vader Tie Fighter TRU exclusive? Where did that go? Hopefully someone out there has these items collecting dust on their store shelves in some other section of the country. Otherwise, not much else to report. If there is anyone out there that can help, I am looking for a Pablo Jill, Blue Clone Trooper, OTC Sandtrooper, Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper, and any of the Unleashed figures from the newest wave. I have extra Silver Vader, Sandtroopers that I would be willing to trade, or even send over a wants list to see if I can help. Drop me a line. Hope everyone is finding what they need. Less than 3 months to go, it will be here before we know it!” chicanodom@msn.com |

With their new game Mercenaries now topping the video game charts in the UK, LucasArts' Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords moves from the number one spot to second place. It's somewhat humerous to hear that they knocked themselves out of first place with another one of their own video games, but that's not bad news for them since they now own the top two spots for best video game in the UK. You heard it right... Ewan McGregor hasn't necessarily been all that thrilled with George Lucas' work on his Star Wars prequel films. McGregor was quoted as saying that Attack of the Clones was "unsatisfactory" in regards to the fighting that was done in the movie. He was also stated that The Phantom Menace was a "disappointing" movie. However, he's very pleased with all the fighting that takes place in Revenge of the Sith. Read everything he has to say about this here. |

Hasbro has decided to throw their Darth Vader Voice Changer into the new packaging based on their Revenge of the Sith toyline, but will this increase the sales of this particular item? Whether I'm at Target or Toys 'R Us, I always see a good handful of these warming the shelves, and I'm not so sure that a change in its packaging is going to help sell more of these. But, I could be wrong. With everyone so incredibly excited about the final movie coming out soon, people might actually want to go out and pick up one of these for themselves, because of the new Episode III look it's sporting. See closeup images and read more about this here. |
The threat of revealing too much content for the upcoming movie Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, has gotten ROTS film producers so concerned that they're threatening legal action toward internet websites that do reveal too much material. George Lucas has recently spoken about his final installment to the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, saying that this is one Star Wars movie that might be too violent for kids. Lucas told the Vanity Fair, "I think children, young children especially, should be warned that this is not your average Star Wars. It's a lot darker. There's a lot more scary stuff in it. It's brutal in places and they should be aware of that. The parents are warned to be careful of bringing tiny little kids, like five and six years old, because it might be too much." The only Star Wars video game that made the Top 10 list was Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, which came in at 6th place. Troopers, I would say it's fair to assume that we are all Star Wars collectors of some type, whether we collects Star Wars toys, memorabilia, clothing, movies, video games, and anything else that has the infamous Star Wars logo on it. How many times do you read about a Star Wars collector in the news? You don't see it too often, but when we're in the news most of the time we're ridiculed and picked on by the press and public. But, when I hear that a Star Wars collector was in the news, I want to share that story with everyone I know.Doug Citizen from the Las Vegas area was recently interviewed by the Las Vegas Mercury, and Doug goes into detail about the Star Wars collection that is setup in his bedroom. He has all of his items displayed loose, so nothing is left in their packaging. He does that because he likes to play with his toys, instead of having his bedroom look like a museum.
