Sandtrooper TPU Pete with a “Private Eye” report:
Dream Invader AnakinDateline: Episode III Anakin Photos   “It isn't often, if at all, that TPU gets spoiler images, but hey we got some now! I have posted images of some E3 Anakin pics I have been sent. I was sent two images of Anakin (Image 1, Image 2), by Anonymous TPU'er No. 1138, as he will probably be seen near the end of Episode III, and he has certainly lost the looks that Padme fell for! For the spoiler avoiders, I won't show these images on the front page, you will have to take the links for them. Don't delay take a look today... before the Lucasfilm lawyers make me take them down.”

Sandtrooper Tampa Bay James reports:
“Trooper James from Tampa. Went by the Wal-Mart on Waters in Tampa and they had lots of figures on clearance. I picked up a Nexu for $3 and Massiff for $2. They have lots more and Endor Troopers, Young Boba, and lots of Jedi from that early wave. They also had some old 12-inch for $8. I also stopped by Target on Waters and they had a couple sets of the Animated Wave 2 minus Yoda. That's all I had time for today. Good luck on the search troops and MTFBWY.”

Sandtrooper Leif reports:
VA BeachDateline: “Dog Will Hunt” - Primus  “Leif in Va Beach here. Well, the X-Wing Luke, Clonetrooper, and Chewbacca Unleashed wave has been seen at local Wal-Marts (Green Brier & Lyhnnhaven), I swear Wal-Marts are the blackholes sucking the life out of trailerparks everywhere. Anyway, I also found a single case of the Holo Luke, J'Quille, Rappertunie, and Lando Skiff wave at Norfolk Toys R Us. I took a set and left the other complete set and extras hanging. I have to say, Holo Luke has to be the ugliest of painted figures ever. Sure he is just a rehash of Return of the Jedi Luke without the cloak, but maybe they should of left him regular Holo Blue. Even my three-and-a-half year old son commented: ' Daddie, why Luke look all nasty?' .”

Survivor's Quest
Survivor’s QuestWell Troops, I have no doubt in my mind why I think Timothy Zahn is hands down the best thing to happen to the Star Wars EU. I loved his original Thrawn Trilogy, the Duology was just about as good. Now Survivor's Quest is blowing me away. I can't wait for the original story to come out. I have to admit I was skeptical when I heard there was going to be a new book out that takes place between the Duology and NJO, even when I heard it was Zahn. I thought this era had been done to death and if this happened before NJO, how come we never heard anything about these events in the NJO. While my latter concern is still legitimate, my former concern was shattered. These characters have not be run to death. So far this story is great! I have another 100 pages to go. I'll be on a plane all day Saturday. When I get back, I'll be ready to post my review! If you haven't bought Survivor's Quest yet, go out and do it!

Power of the Bay - Shady Soldiers:
I’ve created a monsterEbay has created a monster, an army of Shady Soldiers. Well if you want Shady, then this is what I'll give you! If you are like Billy Joel, living here in Allentown, here's another winner! "Recalled" since when? With a username like finderskeepers, I will be sure to install some additional top-notch security systems to "keep" this fool away from my collection. If that one offended you, and you want to wash that East Coast Flavor out of your mouth, head up to the Big Apple where these idiots should be skewered like an apple and slow roasted on a grill, and another one "recalled." When you thought the craziness would end, Voila! Here's another that'll give you some tongue. We don't know why people feel they can tag an outrageous price on anything Star Wars. Creepier than any Stephen King novel, if there ever was a douchebag to be spotlighteed, here he is! More appropriate then naming the seller's store "Needful Things" would have been "Ankle Grabbers Comics." Check out that lovely starting bid. Man, oh man!!! We have Trooper 50 Cent in NYC, maybe he'll have to check this place out! Attention Please: No one is obligated to give stuff away, and many clandestine sellers out there are ready to take your hard-earned money, so research your perspective sellers on ebay before going in like a kid in a candy store. Special Thanks to Trooper J-Loud for material submissions and for turning Suckahs in!

Dateline: Have a Nice Day “Hey all, YQ-1, aka Jim, Padawan to Trooper Bruce here again. You know how it is, countless Targets and Wal-Marts (my daughter Abbey has enough Wal-Mart happy face stickers to create an entire wardrobe), and nothing. Then, finally, jackpot. Walked into a Target and headed toward the toy aisle and there they were: the new Snowtrooper, Hoth Rescue Han Solo, Throne Room Duel Luke and Pit of Carkoon Boba Fett. R1-G4 still remains elusive. Is it just me or does the new Rebel Hoth Trooper bite? Still on the hunt for R1-G4 and a Stormtrooper Army builder set. Thanks for all the welcome e-mails too! Still hunting in Minnesota (anyone interested in some collectible Wal-Mart happy face stickers?).” - YQ-1 aka Jim

Area report for Lafayette, IN
Hey Troops, I hit Target today. A new wave 2 case of Animated figures must have just hit the shelves. They were all there: Yoda, Durge, Count Dooku and Clonetrooper. Pretty impressive looking bunch, if you ask me. They also had brown coat Han who was packed with Throne Room Vader and Luke as well as the Imperial Snowtrooper. Pretty cool stuff.

Sandtrooper Dennis Reports:
“I went on a toy run today. It seems to be more of the same and not much new in the area. Here's my report:

Target (Waukegan, IL): “had only reissued 2003 figures and the second wave of Animated Clone Wars figs but no Yoda.

Target (Gurnee, IL): “had only a Bail Organa, an R-3PO, and a Boba Fett (Pit of Carkoon). They also have the second wave of animated Clone Wars figs including Yoda.

Wal-Mat (Gurnee, IL): “had empty pegs. 3 pegs for basic figs and 3 pegs for Ultra figs. You have got to be kidding.”

Sandtroopette PR Princess Lisette reports:
New YorkDateline: Where Did These Come From? “Hi Troopers, Lisette from NYC reporting. I visited the TRU in Times Square and again was disappointed. The pegs may have had figures hanging from them, but nothing of interest. There was plenty of Yoda and Chian Padawan, Ashla and Jempa, and others from this wave, plus 2 brown coat Hoth Han Solo. They also had plenty of the green carded Bo Shek, Eeth Koth, Teebo, and R4-M9 - where did these come from? Is anyone else being revisited by these guys? They also had the 12-inch Obi-Wan, Jawas and Garindan if anyone in NYC is looking for these guys. That's all for now.”

Sandtrooper SoCal Dude reports:
Current Alhambra Temperature: 47 deg FDateline: The Things You Find in Unexpected Places “Greetings this time from a cold and rainy SoCal! Well, had to stop by a Sav-On Drugs store last night to pick up some cold medicine for the wife and had to drop in on the toy aisle and what did I see you ask? Well had to pick up the R1-G4 and a Jabba Palace Luke. Only 1 of the droids and about 4-5 of the Lukes were on the pegs along with 1 Hoth Trooper. The things you find in unexpected places! I had all but given up on SW figs in these drug stores, but my faith has been renewed. That's it for today and remember to keep dry and fight the good fight fellow Troopers!!! Peace, out!!”

Sandtrooper SoCal Jedi Dom Reports:
Dom, of Dom and Dommer“ Went on a toy run in soggy So Cal, only to come up all wet behind the ears, and a little PO'd . I just have a few comments and concerns. First, what is the problem at Target? When will they get in anything new? Granted, they did get Animated wave 2 sets in last month, but I have not seen a new Saga figure since 2 weeks before Christmas. Their shelves are always empty, seemingly to the point where the toy dept manager has neglected to take into consideration that their shelves are empty. One would think that based on these simple, elementary observations, that maybe these shelves are empty because these are one of very few collectibles in the entire department that sell.

“So what is the problem? Are they preparing for a once in 5 year inventory, and they are withholding all the merchandise? Are they just that delayed in getting their shipments? Are they planning to disband the section altogether? Or do I have 3 Target stores in my area that have hired incompetent, non-attentive managers to run these departments? Well, based on the reports of items that many people have found around the country, the only one that appears to hold water was the last question asked.

“As it has turned out, we here in the wet, gloomy, $2.20 a gallon-for-gas payin' Inland Empire are sentenced to an undisclosed period of empty shelves and empty-handedness. We have not seen the deluxe Jabba wave, the Yavin wave, or the Jabba's Palace wave. I know it may be a bit premature, since these have just been released in the past 3 or 4 weeks, but hey, we have barely even seen the Tatooine wave in full numbers. As a matter of fact, it was a fellow trooper who helped me with that wave.

“Midwest: I ask your help for these waves. East coast: I ask your help for these waves. Hell, any west-coasters, can you throw me a bone!? I am willing to pay additional for your troubles. As a matter of fact, if anyone has all 9 new figs, plus the 2 deluxe figures, all C-9+ or better, I will pay your cost, plus $20 to ship, keep the change as a thank you.”

Wal-Mart: “Found a severely picked over asst. of Jabba wave, found 1 Rappertunie and a couple R2 Drink2. I just know some 300 lb Cheeto snarfing jerk waddled off with the J'Quille's to ebay. Hey buddy, here's to hoping your family DOSEN'T know CPR.

TRU: “A fresh case of Yoda, Fett, Han Unleashed at the Blaine TRU, got my Yoda (on sale? rang up at $14.99). No new figures (they have a whole 3 peg hooks to fill!!! Is it so damn hard to keep 3 peg hooks filled?!? AHHHHHGGG! Sorry. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts ... mmmm kittens).

Target: “(sigh) Target makes me sad, I ask the woman in toys whether they have any new Star Wars figures, she points me to the SPIDERMAN FIGRES!! I said, "No. Star Wars figures." She points me to Lord of the Rings. This woman is so stupid, she should have choked on a Lincoln Log when she was 6, she's breathing air I could be breathing.

“At the end of my rainbow, I found an empty pot surrounded by leprechauns passed out in pools of whisky vomit. Good Luck all!”

Staying On Target, version 6.0
My freind and diorama partner Trooper Troy K. came across an outstanding deal on the Conquest of Cobra Mountain playset at, you guessed it, Target. They were $19.98 so he picked up two, and I was the lucky recipient of the extra. Thanks again Troy, and good job beating out the scalpers. So be on the lookout at your local Target if the Joes float your boat. Beat them scalpers, BEGIN TODAY!!

Force of the Bay: Can you dig it? SUCKA!!!
Hey Troops I hit up ebay to see what kind of great deals could drop in my lap. I found everyone didn’t break theirs, and other great ways to fix what I had lost or destroyed. There are so many different pieces of memorabilia available. There are ways to custom-create those holes that are simply too expensive to fill. You will find many at prices that are unbelievable; all you can hope is they slip by and you can snipe it at the last second. You often find something that breaks the mold of the average item. Whether it is one of the first figures or one of the last, you will find thousands, so don’t get upset if one gets out of your price range. Remember the words of Master Yoda because “there is another.” So remember no matter what it is, chances are it will be listed at some point in time if you just take the time to browse. Take a look at the sellers' other items as well, they may have more then one item you were looking for. Chances are you could find someone who thinks they have the Holy Grail by outrageous opening bids in hopes of an inexperienced collector thinking they are really scoring something great. It could be a minor packing flaw, not a hard to find variation. These are people known to S.C.A.L.P. Troopers as Suckas and they should be avoided at all cost. You really have to watch out Troops, there is just as much crap to step in as there are great buys. Sandtroopers.com neither endorses or authenticates the items featured here. Conduct thorough feedback checks on sellers you do business with.

Sandtrooper Kevin in Columbus reports:
“Quite a bit of Star Wars items showing up here. Store reports as follows:

“Found all but the Yoda Animated Clone Wars figures at both the Easton Target on Morse Rd and the Polaris Parkway Target in Lewis Center. Found the Deluxe Jabba the Hutt and Jabba Palace Court Denizens at the Lewis Center Wal-Mart, also the Unleashed Yoda, Han Solo, and Boba Fett (also at Morse Rd Wal-Mart).

“Found the Saga Luke - Jabba's Palace, R-3PO, R2-D2 with drink tray, R1-G4, Luke - Hoth Attack and the Hoth Trooper at Meijer at the Cleveland Ave and Lewis Center locations (side note: all were at the higher price of $5.99 except the Luke Jabba Palace; it rang up as $4.90). I did get the clerk to match the two other figures i bought that rang up as $5.99, doesn't hurt to ask.

“At Morse Rd Toys R Us, found the Unleashed Luke - X-Wing, Chewbacca, and Clone Trooper, and was able to pick up 3 free figures with their current promotion. Got Achk-Med Beq, Imperial Dignitary Kren Blista, and the black cloak version of the Saga Padme Tatooine.

“Does anyone know where I can get or find the Wal-Mart figure poster from a few years ago? I have some of the Toys R Us figure posters for trade and a few extra Burger King glasses. I'm working on a new trade list and will post it soon in the forums. Thanks.”

Dateline: Semper Fi “Hey Troopers, how are ya? Made my usual rounds in NW Indiana this week and came up empty handed. Started in Valpo Wally World and the pegs had one fig on them: Ellorrs Madak. They had like eight pegs to fill and that's all that was there. Targets were empty, and the Toys R US in Cal City put out a fresh case of the god awful Jango Pilot There must have been 25 of these guys (I don't have one, because it just looks stupid). Maybe new stuff is out in the mornings, but I don't get a chance to go out and hunt til after work (6:30pm). Well maybe next time I'll have some worth while info, other than that, I'll have another beer. Semper Fi.”

Sandtrooper Scott J. reports:
“Hello Troopers, still waiting for the Jabba and Yavin waves to hit here in South-East lower Michigan. Also, Wave 2 Animateds have been pretty few and far between. Did recently find those elusive Bonus 2-pks of CW though, and thought I would offer one set (3 2-pks) up for trade / sale if anyone still might need them? Looking for any of the newer single carded figures in Yavin or Jabba waves. Good luck!”

“Hey troops, Erich Fritz here again. I'm putting out another sale list. My wife and I have purchased two Belgian Colts and I need to liquidate as much of my collection as possible, so if there is anyone out there who needs, or knows someone who needs, any of my items to add to their collection please send me an e-mail. These are all carded and in C-9+ condition unless stated otherwise on the list. My e-mail address is: ejfritz@hotmail.com. I am selling all of these items at a loss, but we need the money and the space. Thanks for your time and good luck with the collecting.”
ejfritz@hotmail.com

Troops, take a look at Erich's list. He has a lot of pieces at a more than fair price. Erich, thank YOU for making your stuff available to the Sandtroopers!

Extensive Poll # 9 Results ( 15 October - 19 February 2003 ):
"Who needs Clone Trooper packs when we can get more Destroyer Droids Launchers than the Entire Separatist Army? ” - Quote from a Trooper on November 19, 2003.

That's what Trooper Chris Kelso said, here is what you said:

Which Clone pack was hardest to find?
Green 28%
Yellow 11%
Red 9%
White 3%
Blue 5%
Anything but white 6%
Found them all with no problem 8%
Both Green and Yellow
7%
Scalpers got them all 22%

The man who hung with canned tunaAs long as you weren't part of the twenty-two percent of readers who weren't fast enough to beat the scalpers to the punch, it looks like the flash-in-the-pan green pack version really was the hardest to find. Yellow too left both scalpers and collectors confused at the end of the production run. With the initial all-white pack, already in most Troops' collections, making a reappearance in a case assortment with Durge and Clone Trooper on speeder cases, it ended the day as the most readily available variation. Now that the Clone Wars multi-pack subline has wrapped up, let's hope Hasbro assembles a "Clone Trooper Army Builder" set using the Super Articulated Trooper as the mold and having Lieutenant, Commander and Sergeant colors. If they could keep a straight face giving us a four-pack of glazed-eyed Endor Troopers, then they should consider cashing in again on the evergreen Clone Trooper. Okay, now that you've built your amry, let's look at the coming onslaught of Original Trilogy Collection 3 ? inch product. Hasbro "goes Solo" yet again. Vote in Extensive Poll No. 10 at the top of the page.

Sandtrooper Brian Lustig reports:
Dateline: S.C.A.L.P. All Day ... Every Day.  “First off, let me shout out a big ' Welcome Back!! ' to Ham Yoyo aka Britt. It's been a long while! I believe the last time we traded was way back pre-Episode II. Great to see you around again. Hope all continues to go well with your rehab situation. The site has changed some, but I think it has changed for the better over the last year or so. As far as store reports, about the same here in Indy, land of perpetual overcast skies. Target has been the place to be until now. Now it seems that nowhere is the place to be! I agree with Trooper The Devil's Ewok, who a few days ago said 'Does TRU even carry toys anymore?' Not much to be found. Anyway, MTFBWY and S.C.A.L.P. all day ... every day!”

Sandtrooper Lin Que Droma with Mutual of Omaha's Aisle Kingdom:
Aisle KingdomDateline: Leaving Scalpers Confused  “Lin Que from Omaha with a overdue Omaha report. Things have been pretty good around my way. Thursday I saw the Yavin wave at Wal-Mart. My goal was to pick up two of each to offer up here but another guy came and I offered them up to him as he was a pretty ' kool ' guy. Friday I saw the Batman exclusives at Wal-Mart and picked up Killer Croc and Mr Freeze. Saturday on a scavenger hunt for the new Deluxe packs I came across Gandalf the Whiter at the same Wal-Mart I had grabbed the Yavin wave at 20 minutes later. At TRU I found Elrond, Gimli, and Arwen. The really odd thing was they were sitting right out front so the fact they were still there had my head spinning all day. I then ran into a restock of Marvel Legends V and grabbed a long sought after Blade. When I went back the next day the were ALL gone so they're moving VERY quickly (note to self: check ebay). Yesterday I saw the new Energon wave (I grabbed Rodimus) and Masterpiece OP. That's a nice hunk of metal and plastic but a little heavy for my budget. All in all, a good score over the past week. I'm still looking to hook a couple of people up and I will keep them posted. Stay up troops, things seem to be picking up!! Leaving scalpers confused like someone trying to gangbang wearing a blue shirt and red pants.”

Sandtrooper Ham Yoyo reports:
Dateline: An Old Friend Returns  “Hey All, Sandtrooper Vet here, Ham Yoyo. Been a long time, but the site still rules. Crypt is the 'last' of the original crew I remember. Anyway, great to be back. I was out of duty for a while because of major back operations, but it feels good to be back. I have been hitting the stores, not so much for me but you guys. If you are looking, let me know and I'll see what I have In Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm also going to put a list up of a ton of pre-Saga stuff. I need the cash to pay for back rehab and such, and instead of ebay, I wanted you guys to get first grabs. I've traded a ton here and if there is an older fig or set you need, e-mail me at. I'll have the list up shortly. This is going to be a super cheap deal with most figs around $2.00. Anyone interested please let me know, and guys keep it up, I love the Supersuckas articles.” - Britt

All you Troops who have been here as long as I have will remember Britt as one of the most hardcore Troopers out there, a good trader and a great guy. We're glad you're recovering, and drop that list on us anytime! Then, if you Troops you can Britt out, take a look and see whether there are any items you'd like to buy.

Sandtrooper Jedi Hawk reports:
Jedi Hawk’s Pro Scalper 4Dateline: Hunt with Skill  “Central Texas report, well it's not much here. Over the past week or two there has not been much to speak of. My Wal-Marts are now doing OK by stocking something new about every week. They have had the Ultra Wave 2 and still have the 12-inch Garindan, Jawa, and Ben wave. Yesterday one put out the Boba, Han, and Yoda Unleashed wave. My local TRU is worthless. They have a lot of inventory but it's all old, unless you want repacks (Jedi 4 pack). The newest figs they have are CW wave 1. My local Target was the place to be before the new year. But since we rolled into 2004, they have not had much to speak of. They restocked last week with some 2003 Vadera and Luke Duel wave?? Weird since those were on clearance for $1.18, and now they are $4.99, but nothing more than that since the first weeks of January. Well that is all for this lame report. Hope some things improve. But the break is nice on my wallet. Also, Hasbro has some pretty cool stuff planned for the rest of 2004 if Toy Fair is any hint. Not real thrilled with the amount that was shown, but the ideas are good. Hope this new stuff is available to all. Hunt with Skill.”

Power of the Bay - General J's Shady Soldiers:
When you sell like Eminem you get plenty of scalper loveOkay Troops, get ready to do battle yet again with the Shady Soldiers who are the sworn enemies of S.C.A.L.P. and all Sandtroopers. Don't underestimate their power, for they train for combat against collectors many hours a day as most of them don't have a real job. Get ready, it's about to get heavy ...

Operation Code Name: Back Door Forced Entry. This first seller is the reason Troops like Jedimaster-C and Force Hunter are missing the seemingly "hard-to-find" Target exclusives. Scalpers like this guy are making it "exclusive" for these to even make it to the point of purchase for honest people to present their cash and make the transaction at arm's length. He points out in his description that these "ran out quickly." Wonder why?

3175615335: “NO RESERVE!! These babies came straight off the delivery truck at Target and never hit the salesfloor or even the stockroom!!! As you can tell from the photo, you are bidding on 1 case each of the following: 12-inch Luke with Speeder Bike, 12-inch Imperial Biker Scout with Speeder Bike. These were Target Exclusives and ran out quickly. There are (2) 12-inch figures in each case so there are (4) in total. All are MISB. The speeder bikes in the photo did not come out of the case, they are from my personal collection. These cases are still sealed!! These items retailed for $49.99 each. Use Buy-it-Now and Shipping is FREE!! A huge savings!! Good luck!!.”

What a downright decent guy to offer you free shipping! Upon request he may very well drive the Target truck to your home. Now, I know two wrongs don't make a right, but they sure make me feel a whole lot better! The night wouldn't be complete without that hard-to-find variant. And I have to admit, the last guy who tried to take your hard-earned money became so irate with us that he suggested we passionately pursue calling fouls on those that are in the loop of collectors instead of those like him who don't care about Star Wars or any of the memorabilia. We couldn't agree more Mr. Warner, and we found one that you would approve of - this next seller has got it all over on you, but guess what? You too will still be in the crosshairs of El Generale's heavily modified MG-34 rifle.

Operation Code Name: Silver Clone Trooper (Mark I). I think the bidder needs a little schooling on what is really worth $225.00!?! A clone with some accidental overspray on his rifle is not one of them.

3175181654: Here it is, Extremely Rare AOTC Red Clone with silver rifle ... quite the eyecatcher! This is an auction for a NO RESERVE MOC AOTC Clone trooper with a SILVER Rifle and a HALF-PAINTED Visor. I've been trying to collect all the clone variants when I came across this extraordinary find! After cross-checking this photo with a photo of a 'standard' auction red clone trooper, there is no question regarding the authenticity of this piece. Please stay tuned for more hard-to-find variant auctions from me and also check out my current auctions for I am selling my entire collection over the next few weeks to all you fellow Star Wars enthusiasts! I am currently showing this item locally and reserve the right to end auction early so Happy Bidding and thanks for looking.”

Since he's showing it locally, I'd urge all Malibu area Troops to scope it out and make sure to bring those macrobinoculars or else it will look like the same figure you see on the pegs at every retail store in the nation. If you're not on the West coast, just check his other auction. The amazing thing about this Jango ' variant' is that it also has NO INSERT! Indeed! The same bidder went for this one too, shady ... way shady.

Thanks to Troopers LooseToon and Jay Loud for heading the charge in eliminating the Shady Soldiers one at a time.

Sandtrooper SoCal Jedi Dom Reports:
Dom, of Dom and Dommer“Well, STILL not much new out here in the Inland Empire of California. Got the Animated wave 2 in numerous quantities, e-mail me if you needs these, preferably for trade. I also have a set of the 12-inch Garindan, Ben and Jawas for trade, which will go back on store shelves Friday if nobody's interested. Everything I have is C-9+. I am looking for the Yavin wave, Jabba's Palace wave and the deluxe Jabba wave. Does anyone have all 9 of the new 3 inch figures as a whole, to ship in one shot? If someone has an extra set of all 9 C-9+ figs, which include Tanus Spijek, Lando in Skiff disguise, Rappertunie, J'Quille, Holographic Luke, Captain Antilles, General Dodonna, TIE Pilot, and Dutch Vander, I will pay cost plus shipping, and an additional $1 per figure as an added bonus. If anyone has either wave, I would like to work something out as well. How about the 2 newest deluxe figs? I have things to trade, hoping for help!”

Sandtrooper Parkay reports:
I can’t believe it’s not Sandtroopers.comDateline: Will Work for New Figures  “I got tired of seeing all those 2002 figs at my local Wal-Mart here in Sumter, SC. I saw they put a small portion of them in the clearance aisle. Well, that's when I decided to help out my local Wal-Mart for free. I took it upon myself to move about 3 pegs worth of Anakin (Outland Peasant Disguise) figs over to the clearance aisle myself, leaving 3 empty pegs in the new aisle. Checked back 3 days later and we have new figs on the pegs!!! Found the newest holo Luke, Lando Skiff, J'Quille, and the green dude all in multiple quantities. Sometimes you just have to work a little to get some new figs on the shelf. Checked Kmart the next day and they had the same new figs, and all the 2002 figs where moved to a clearance aisle (though they didn't appear to be marked down).”

Sandtrooper NYC Jared reports:
“Unfortunately, not much to find here in the NYC area. I did manage to score the second wave of the animated Clone Wars figs a week or so ago at a local Target but haven’t seen them or anything else new since. I do have an extra Hologram Luke, Rappertunie and Lando Skiff. I was wondering whether anyone has an extra R1-G4 to trade for any of the above three figs. Let me know. By the way, I think this site is excellent and extremely useful. Keep up the good work and thanks!”
jedinight@nyc.rr.com

Thanks for the NYC-Troopin’ Jared! Along with Troopette Lisette, Trooper Jared rules the Island. Anyone in the five burroughs of New York will tell you Sandtroopers.com is getting the toys and fighting the scalpers! Are there any more Long Island Troopers out there?

Sandtrooper “Trooper Larry” reports:
It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it. We like Transformers ’cuz they’re more than meets the eye, YEAH!Dateline: Any Day You Can Smack a Scalper Hard Enough to Cause His Shoe Laces to Come Untied, is a Good Day “Hey Troops! Trooper Larry reporting from the Mentor, Ohio area. Wal-Mart, Kmart, TRU, and KB are empty. A few Hoth troopers and some of the bar wave still hangin' around, but that’s about it. Target in Willoughby was empty: had a lone cartoon Mace, and a few Geo fighters. I traveled a little further down the road to Wal-Mart in Eastlake, and finally hit the jackpot. Was able to get Holo Luke, Rappertunie, Lando skiff, TIE Pilot, Dodonna, and Dutch Vander. Although the wallet is a little lighter, it was well worth it. Any day I can smack a scalper hard enough to cause his shoe laces to come untied, is a good day. Kick @$% and take names troops.”

Power of the Bay 2 - Son of Return of Freak of the Week Part 2:
The Gentle Art of Making Enemies: 3174488997 - Here's another loser that kept these from an apprectiating fan! Oh, the kicker is he calls them perfect. Glad we took the time to really inspect these lame pictures the seller put up in an effort to fool people. As a follow up on the guy with the Theater Lukes, we questioned him about the condition and he was IRATE. Here's his reply:

“Hey f@%#er,
I don't know if you were kidding or just being an a$%hole on those e-mails that you sent me, but you need to watch what you're saying to people. You don't know s&!# about the stuff I'm selling, and if you have a problem with the descrip matching the pic then don't bid. People like me don't need your dumb@$% comments, especially when you aren't buying from me.”

Isn't it just so nice to get a professional response to a query on a description and pic? Real winner that one was. We'll keep an eye on what other "perfect" items this creep finds in a box under his bed, who knows, maybe he can be Freak of the Week”, again real soon! This cat claims he managed a theater and got these on "reopening day of the Trilogy, January 31, 1997 (sic)." Some Sandtroopers were born at night, but not last night. The next time one of our detachments make it out to the Great Salt Flats, we'll pay this joker a visit.

Like Two Swords, Two Auctions Sharpen Each Other: After that vulgar display of glower, I think this should be shown because you probably won't see it again any time soon. Trooper Jay Loud brought this one to our attention, Item # 3175491381. Just amazing the amount some are willing to put out. I guess only the Hutts could afford it as it turned out.

Remember Troops, scalpers aren't something you should have to live with as a fact of life. Pick up figures and sell them for cost plus shipping, or pick some up from a Troop nice enough to do likewise. Don't buy from the scalper and he will go away. Better yet, call them out here on Front Street for everyone to laugh at! Begin Today.

Sandtrooper Force Hunter Speaks:
“I know you don't do G.I.Joe, but could you keep an eye out of the G.I.Joe Valor vs. Venom Cobra Infantry Forces (SKU 170669)? I called TRU and they even told me that they did not even get them in on the truck. The person I talked to said that she unloaded the truck herself and did not see any. I was even told a week ago that they did not even leave the warehouse. I looked at the screen myself. I just wanted some help from sandtroopers.com members to help me find some extra packs, I appreciate your support. The only real good sightings I have had are Echo base trooper and the Snowtrooper at a local Target in Jacksonville, Florida. The Troops have helped me with the Target B-Wing a few years back, so I thought I would try again, they are good at helping find stuff. Thanks guys. Good luck and Good Hunting.”
patriotspride2003@yahoo.com

Attention Jacksonville S.C.A.L.P. forces! Help out Legacy Trooper Force Hunter and don't let that damn scalper, toylet@fair.net (formerly known on ebay as toyletfair) snatch up all the Cobra Infantry sets that make it into Jacksonville. Back in 2001, this extra foul piece of dewback dung sucked up all the short-packed Darth Maul Sith Apprentices and Target B-Wings that made it to Jacksonville, and put them on the 'bay (just when you thought it was safe to return). We're on to you and it's about to get heavy! General J and CWO Spice will fight these losers with Bounty Officer 50 Cent 'til the bitter end, and Darth Crypt too will be conjured up (should things get ugly).

FRIDAY THE 13th AGAIN! It's Not Over 'til We Say It's Over!
Better check under the bed tonight kiddies, you may find a psycho under there waiting to pop your ankles ... or it might be a scalper trying to steal one of your elusive Star Wars figures! This could be an omen or a Blair Witch bamboozlement to rid Sandtroopers of my services! We're sure the eternal villains like Card Bender and the rest of the immortal enemies will be back on the next 13th (in two months from now no less!), or sooner. I've prepared a night's supply of Coffee and Darth Crypt and I will stay up all night in a sleep-deprivation experiment to enforce S.C.A.L.P. policy until this time anomoly clears up.
