Area Report: Diary of a Mad-Sand
Just give me some new figures!Hey Troopers, there has been a very abundant supply of the new Hoth and Carkoon Waves in northern Lake County, IL. Target after Wal-Mart after Kmart all had signs of a Saga struggle, the sad thing that comes to my mind is what the hell happened to all of the Revenge of the Sith stuff? The film made nearly 400 million dollars but seven months later you can hardly find any action figures. Instead we get Unleashed Battle Packs, Transformers, Choppers and other crap that 3-3/4 inch collectors could care less about. It’s just frustrating to see what’s becoming of the Star Wars line. Maybe it’s just me but I really don’t care for what Hasbro has done to collecting in 2006. What happened to vehicles? Deluxe sets? Multi-packs? I appreciate we have a few Revenge of the Sith figures coming down the road but why is it you could find EI and EII figures on the shelves almost two years after those movies? I realize there are some people buying these new products and I can appreciate that. However what was so bad about the first Unleashed figures? I don’t see it translating to sales seeing as after a six-store patrol it is all I could see along with endless rows of G.I. Joe Sigma 6, another toy line they have completely destroyed. Good luck to you Troops in your searches, discuss your opinions on my rant here if you have feelings about this.

Area Report: Geonosis wave beginning to Surface
Still on patrol in the circle city!“Hey Troops! Just when you thought you were catching up with the latest Star Wars action figures from Tatooine to Hoth there are more to be found on Geonosis. I got a report from a very reliable friend of mine that picked up Poggle the Lesser (repack) action figure at Wal-Mart (96th St.) here in Indianapolis, IN. This is the only new figure from the Geonosis wave of figures found. Some stragglers of Hoth were also on the pegs. Keep your eyes open for this latest wave of Star Wars action figures.”

Sandtrooper Newfiend Reports: I'm Hooked!
“Hello Troopers, I am new to Sandtroopers and wanted to say hello. My name is Curt a.k.a. newfiend and I recently contacted Stephanie aka Teffie1 regarding a Target Exclusive TIE-Fighter. She went out of her way to find me one of these and we completed my first transaction recently. She is truly a wonderful person and I just wanted to say thank you to her and this site for bringing all the collectors to a place that is truly unique. I will be using the site more now that I know what a great community you have here.

I live in southern New Hampshire and hit the Wal-Mart in Brattleboro VT today. They had a few of the new unleashed mini packs from the second series. No SAGA figures on the pegs at all. They do have the 12-inch ROTS HASBRO figures on Clearance for $15.00 each. They have the Emperor Palpatine and Shaak Ti only. The KB Toys in Keene, New Hampshire had some of the SAGA Carkoon wave only and no Boba Fetts. They also have the ROTS Battle Arena sets of Anakin vs. Dooku and Mace vs. Palpatine on clearance for $9.99 each if anyone is interested in these let me know. Great site and I will be back more often. United we Find! Newfiend out.”

Sandtrooper Jedimaster-C Reports:
Are they still making these?“Hey Troops, I wanted to let you know that I got my R2 unit sets from Entertainment Earth yesterday. It rained yesterday and when I came home from my brother's house playing D & D, the box got wet. Fortunately the contents of the box were nice and dry. I only wanted the set that included the RX-X2. It's not a bad looking set. A bit pricey for what you get. Nothing new in the basic figures in my area, but I’m still looking.”

Dewback Patrol: The Next Big Event?
Simmah dahhwwn Naaah!I’ve had several loyal troopers in the last few weeks ask me the same question: “What is the next big event?” It certainly would be nice if there were a yearly event that was run similar to Star Wars Celebration, but we all know that would never happen due to cost and resource constraints. There are rumors on the Internet that Celebration IV will be taking place to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars (hopefully you know what year that is), but it has yet to be set in concrete. So, what is coming down the pipe? Good question. Of course there will always be the annual Wizard World events at various locations across the country, there will be the Comic-Cons, but is there anything else heading our way? Unfortunately, to my knowledge, the answer is no.

Sandtroopers Taking Names! The next big event in my area will be Wizard World Chicago, and I don’t know how I’m going to be able to wait for the event to get here since it will take place in August. I wish there would be something smack dab in the center of this great country, where we could all get together, and have a big Sandtroopers party of some sort. But, with many of us having our own families, lack of funds, etc, it would be difficult for something like that to take place. What are everyone’s thoughts about trying to maybe do our own special Star Wars event? I’m not sure what the details would be, what we would do, where we would meet, but I sure would like to be able to meet everyone in person at some point in time. If you have any ideas as to what we could do, share those ideas in our forum. I’d be really excited to see what everyone here has to say.

“Troopers, the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Waterloo, IL had what looked like 4-5 cases of the Hoth wave freshly stocked on the pegs this morning at $5.88 per figure. Sandtrooper Jedihawk Reports:
Texas S.C.A.L.P. Border Patrol“Well Troopers it’s been quite a long time since my last report troops. So here goes. Wal-Mart - Not much in the way of figures. They have had a few cases of the Carkoon Wave but that is about all. There were lots of the choppers (why?) and the Transformers. Also saw the latest wave of Titanium here with the AT-AT and Limited Gunship. Have not received the Hoth wave yet. Super Wal-Mart - Pretty Much the same story. But they did get in 2 cases of the Hoth wave about 2 weeks ago. Only place in town to have gotten that wave. Have not seen the Titanium AT-AT wave here yet. I guess it’s a trade off for the Hoth Wave. They had a pretty decent Clearance after the holidays and I managed to pick up a few items.

Target - Well they have got several cases of the Carkooon wave. But at $7 per figure (WM is $5.88) they seem to be losing business a little. But man did they have some clearance deals after the holidays. I picked up some pretty good stuff there for 50%-75% off. Now that is all gone. I picked up the last clearance items just today. Collector packs for $1.24 each. TRU - Well they actually did get one wave of the Carkoon wave. But that is about all. Well unless you need a Millennium Falcon, they have plenty of the ROTS ones or the OTC ones. I have not heard yet if my store will be closing. But it will not be a huge loss in the availability of product. They are usually not even in the game these days for SW. They do have some other lines, so I would hate to see them go, but I feel it may be inevitable. Well Troops good luck in the New Year and with the new line. And as always...hunt'em down.”

Sandtrooper Starfox Reports: Deep in the Heart of Texas!
Real Men wear Pink!“News from Central Texas is kind of dull recently but Kmart in Killeen put out a partial case of ROTS figs and I was lucky enough to find one a 501st Trooper, but it was still $6.99! The SAGA Hoth wave has hit one local Wal-Mart, but disappeared very quickly! Not much more to report from here, but I want to give a shout out and big Thank You to Sandtroopette Stephanie, a.k.a. Teffie1, for hooking me up with a Target TIE Fighter from the clearance shelves and a Leia Cup with Figure! I'm still looking for most of the Target cup sets with figures; email me if you have any on clearance in your area! Be sure to check out the forums for many great traders! Force of the Bay: Check your Identification
Hey Troopers, with tax refund season rapidly approaching, I once again set sights on Ebay. If you ever get a little bit of loose change, it’s one of the greatest places to look to spend it! Did you already blow those worthless New Year’s resolutions? It’s never too late to clean up your act. You might want to start on that costume you’ve procrastinated on for years. You might want to take command, or if you are one to lose your head, fall behind and be a loyal follower! If you are growing tired of the mini-bust line, perhaps going life-sized is a direction you’d like to turn. There are some statues out there that include everything except the smell. I just never seem tired of digging up old fossils, and it’s hard to believe you can still find a good one of those! Stick with the good people at Sandtroopers.com and you’ll never have to wave any flag in the air! Unlike this Sith Lord we are not full of hot air, we know what is worth something and what is truly rare! Remember Sandtroopers.com neither endorses nor authenticates any of the items featured here. Good luck to you great Troopers in your searches, United We Find!

Dewback Patrol: Star Tours the Ride & the lost Wave IV
What's the matter? Can't keep up with the Dewback? While on voluntary leave last week, somehow I found myself smack dab in the middle of live Sandtrooper field duty. I found myself at the feet of a very large AT-AT and in a very familiar village. As I made my way up the boarding ramp, I acquired photos of those meddling Droids we’ve given chase to since the late 1970’s. I utilized my standard issue field equipment to surveillance the entire area and after neutralizing the Starspeeder 3000, I made way through the Tatooine Traders marketplace and made the discovery of the forgotten Star Tours wave IV where they were literally falling off the pegs. For the entire recon mission click here. Special Thanks go out to double agent Frank who made sure I was able to “shoot” and take control of all of the Droids. Did you score wave IV yet? Did you care? Let us know.

The big news however was at a local Wal-Mart where I found a nearly hidden and almost full Clone Wars DVD/# Pack figure display between rows of self-checkout lanes. I picked up 2 complete sets. One is earmarked for a local fellow collector but I have another set available for anyone who still needs it!! Cost ($21) plus shipping and it’s the first person that lets me know they want it! Someone who still needs it please. If you aren’t first, I’ll run by there again tonight on my way home and see if there’s any left so hurry and get back to me ASAP! Sandtroopette Stephanie Reports:
“Hello from SoCal. I found a few Hoth wave figures. However, most stores that have any new figures have the Cartoon wave. The Titanium smaller figures have been real easy to find so far. Update on Toy R Us exclusives: I noticed you can pre-order the Defense of the Senate Battle Pack online as well as the Clone Wars Gunship. My local TRU almost never has anything of interest, so I bought most of their exclusive stuff online last year. Just thought I'd give you the heads up if you may not be able to get it in your area or would just rather pre-order. KBtoys.com also has the Tarkin figures as well as a decent selection of some of the other later ROTS figures and the Saga Cartoon wave. I hope this can help someone out, United We Find!”

    Sandtrooper Dead Hero reports:
Who's Dead?“ Hi Troops! After several days of northeast Illinois Targets restocking the Carkoon wave of Saga figures, Target in Countryside, IL (LaGrange/Hodgkins) got two cases of the Hoth Wave including all 14 figures to date. Likewise, area Wal-Marts came through in a scattergun approach with the Carkoon wave coming and going. Titanium series and choppers are showing up steadily at both Target and Wal-Mart, with perhaps the strangest find being a heretofore named net-exlusive G.I.Joe HISS tank at Countryside Target with a shady resticker over the UPC. In the vein of ‘United We Find,’ I’d like to thank Trooper JediMCor of the Empire State of New York for completing a trade with me, allowing me to get my hands on the C3 Vader, and to get it from a friend and fellow Troop! Your Prized Possession
My Prized PossessionWe all have our great and not-so great items in our collection, but if someone were to walk up to you on the street or ask you in a public forum (such as ours) what your most prized possession would be, how would you reply to that? Do you have one particular item that is your most prized possession? How would you determine which item in your collection would fit the bill? Think of it this way if you’re having a hard time trying to figure out what is your most prized possession (and this is something many people have asked me before): if your house were engulfed in flames and firefighters informed you that they have just enough time to grab only one item from your Star Wars collection, what would you ask them to save for you?

Check out the article I have written regarding this topic. What I would like from this discussion is to see what everyone believes is their most prized possession in their Star Wars collection. I’d also like to know why you chose that particular item. There could be a million different reasons why you chose that, and that is something I would like to discuss with all the loyal troopers in our forum. So, read the article I have written, and then visit and share with us what your most prized possession is in your collection.

    Follow-Up: Unleashed Battle Packs
Unleashed Battle PacksA couple months ago I wrote an article about the new Unleashed Battle Packs, and how I was not at all thrilled with them. At the time I couldn’t believe Hasbro chose to go with the smaller lineup of figures over the larger, more detailed versions. Well, that has all changed now that I have three of the packs in my possession. My wife came home one day with the Utapau Warriors set, and I couldn’t believe the amount of detail that was put into these! The paint job and sculpt on them were impressive for something so incredibly small. She then came home this past weekend with two additional packs: Battle Droids and Clone Trooper Attack Battalion. Both of these also impressed me, and I’m starting to regret my earlier comments about these. You have to admit, though, that these are very well done for the scale that they are, and the price isn’t all that bad either as you get four figures in decent poses.

So what are your thoughts about these now, especially as they’ve been in stores now for a couple of months? From what I’ve gathered in our forum, it seems that most people still have not been sold on these, but I sure have. The packaging alone is great to look at, and the figures themselves are nicely done by Hasbro. Head on over to our forum and tell us what you think about these.

    Sandtrooper Fernando Reports:
"I'm sending you this info and a picture to let you know there are two different package variations for Darth Vader Saga 013. Cards and paper inserts are the same on front and back, the wrap around bubble is different to acomodate the different poses on each one. Both came with a holo Emperor! These were found in So. California this morning, one in a Wal-Mart and the other at Target (open cape)."

POLL: Your Thoughts About the Saga 2006 Figures
AT-AT DriverIn recent years we had the original Saga line of carded figures, where the background was a fairly plain blue color with not much going for itself, but of course back then we were all salivating to get our hands on these figures. Then came the Original Trilogy Collection, which brought us back to the late ‘70s and early ‘80s with its retro carded look of the vintage line. Next came the wave to celebrate Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, with its fiery lava background and Darth Vader looming overhead. And now we have the Saga 2006 wave, with a totally brand new style for the card design, but borrowing a little bit of design from the OTC line. To me, this is one of the more exciting designs Hasbro could have come up with, but lets just hope we get more new figures and new sculpts of figures that have been repeatedly done.

I’m currently running a poll over in the forums, where I ask the following question: What are your thoughts about the Saga 2006 figures? I think it’s pretty obvious of how I answered this poll, but I’d like to hear what your thoughts are on the matter. Feel free to reply to the thread with those comments as well.

    Going Back in Time!
Sandtroopers Invade Celebration IIIIt’s that time again we’re we go “Back in Time” to visit one of our older Dewback Patrol missions. Last time we took you back to the Industrial Light & Magic show at Chicago’s Museum of Science & Industry (August 2004), and this time we’re going back nine months in time to go to Celebration III. Next to the release of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Celebration III would be the biggest event of 2005. Not only did Sandtroopers.com cover the event in full force, but we were probably the most prepared Star Wars collecting site out on the Net. We were already bringing to you on a daily basis the latest news relating to the event, and when the time came to deploy our troops we invaded Indianapolis on a mission to bring you the best Celebration III coverage out there.

Leading the charge was none other than Darth Spice himself, along with fellow staff members Boba Binks, Jimsjedi, Sandtrooper Dan and Sand Snipe. I was unable to make it to the event, as I had just had my very first child who we named Lucas, so I stayed back at headquarters and helped bring the news and photos to all our loyal troopers out there. One of the coolest parts of the events was our dispersal of Sandtroopers.com t-shirts, because everywhere you looked were troopers sporting our name on these incredibly designed t-shirts (we’re hoping to do another run of t-shirts sometime this year, for those of you who missed out on one of these).

The mission was a complete success. So sit back, grab yourself something to eat and drink, and prepare yourselves for the ride of a lifetime as we take you back to Celebration III.

    Wausau, WI Store Reports:
Greetings from North woods of Wisconsin! I've been out hunting new figures the last couple days, and this is what I’ve seen out there locally. Wal-Mart reset there toy section and restocked the Star Wars section with the Pit of Carcoon wave as well as the Hoth wave, they were at the $5.88 price. Target and Shop-Ko had the Pit of Carcoon wave only! Going at the $6.99 price range at each store. Target looked like they just stocked the new figures because they had plenty hanging on the pegs. Target also had lots of the new Star wars Transformers and some newer Galactic heroes. Well that's the scoop up here in the North woods and I’m glad things are starting to happen. It's so nice to walk into the stores and see freshly stocked pegs with shiny new figures adorning them. Good luck in your neck of the woods!

S.C.A.L.P. Recon Patrol"Even if my call sign says I'm from Pennsylvania (born and raised there and proud to be a PENN STATE, EAGLES AND PHILLIES FAN) I actually live in NJ. Which is okay. The Hoth wave is hitting the area, they must have gotten some at my Cherry Hill target this weekend as the remnants were there, and I also spotted them at the Wal-Mart in Lumberton, NJ . I am actually surprised as to the ones that were left warming the pegs late in the day on a Holiday and the ones that were gone. Lots of both troopers. No Vaders or Rieekan and one Artoo at both, which I got because I consider that a new one. And $1.00 cheaper at Wal-Mart."

    Sandtrooper Keith Reporting:
"Here in Vancouver BC things have been pretty dry. Carkoon wave hit and was gone shortly after Christmas. Nothing to speak of since. Lots of old ROTS hanging on the shelves. It looks like our stores are slowly limiting the space for SW figs. Want to give a big thanks to David Sandgren for hooking me up with Target clone and more. This guy was a huge help. If anyone needs TRU still has the Holo Emperor here, going for $8.00 Canadian. Keith."

    Sandtrooper Stephanie Reports:
"Well, it's been a while since I've written in from Southern California. I was lucky with the Carkoon wave at Wal-Mart before January 1st. My son wanted to go look in the gardening section (I think he wanted out of the crowded store!) and low and behold, that's where Wal-Mart had put all the boxes of stuff they were going to stock for the toy aisles and I spotted the Star Wars figure box. Still haven't seen the Hoth wave and have found some of the new small Titanium vehicles at Target and Wal-Mart since then. Carkoon wave is also in Target here though not in great numbers. Biggest thing I've found is the stuff from last year at super clearance prices. Target has their exclusive TIE fighter marked down to just $9.98 (from $39.99), Plo Kon's starfighter was $13.98, the Episode III figures are now $1.18 (if you see any - I found a handful of them at each store and some pretty good figures - probably returns), the Battlepacks (Jedi vs. Sith) are $6.98, the Target exclusive figures with the cups are $6.98 and the Target Star cases are $2.68 here. I picked up some extra stuff I didn't need but couldn't resist the prices! If you see any left over Episode III figures at Wal-Mart (I've found some), they're marked down to $3 and last year's Unleashed are $9. Toys 'R Us had the Battle Arenas at $5.98. Toys 'R Us here doesn't have anything new that I've seen. On the clearance stuff, you will need to take it to a scanner to realize just how marked down it is. Don't go by the price you see in the aisle or even if it has a red clearance sticker on it. Hope that helps."

    Sandtrooper dustrho Reporting In!
Hey Troopers! The other day my wife was running errands and hit the jackpot at Target and Toys 'R Us in our area. She found me three Star Wars Transformers at TRU in the Aurora/Naperville area, and those were General Grievous, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. At a first glance on Hasbro's site I wasn't all that thrilled with these, but I did like the overall concept of them. Now that she picked them up for me, I'm quite thrilled with them. Now I just have to figure out if I'm going to open these up and display them loose in my collection or not.

She then picked up a bunch of the Saga 2006 Battle of Carkoon figures for me which included the following: Boba Fett, Chewbacca Han Solo and Princess Leia in Boushh Disguise. So, now that first wave of figures are complete for me, and it's just a matter of time before I can get my hands on the Hoth wave of figures! And lastly she picked up a couple of the Unleashed Battle Pack figures, and they were the Battle Droids and Clone Trooper Attack Battalion packs. If you remember from an earlier report that I wrote about, I wasn't too thrilled with Hasbro's choice to go from the regular Unleashed line to the smaller one, but I have to admit now that I'm very much pleased with these. In fact, I want to get all of them to complete the set.

Until next time Troopers... United We Find!

Saga 2006 Hoth Wave Found in Ohio
From an earlier report that came in a couple days ago, the Saga 2006 Hoth wave was found at a Wal-Mart in Zanesville, Ohio. It sure would be nice if I could find some of these around my neck of the woods, but if I don't ever see them in stores I'm sure some Troopers here would be able to help me out with acquiring them. Thanks for the information Steve! United We Find!

    Sandtrooper SoCal Rod Reports:
“Just got back making a toy run to my local Hemet, California Target and Wal-Mart after reading all the great reports of new figures galore. Started at Target where the shelves had been freshly stocked with the Pit of Carkoon wave including a whole batch of Boba Fetts. That was surprising to me. The local scalper must have decided to take the day off. They also had a fresh assortment of transformers (Robots in Disguise) including Luke's X-wing. Next, took the Family Rebel Transport to Wal-Mart, fought the mobs and local denizens, and was happy to see almost a full compliment of the Hoth wave minus Darth waiting for me to buy it up. Nice looking assortment! Wal-Mart also had a good selection of Titanium series, but no sign of the titanium five packs. Keep up the good work Troops and can't wait for the next wave to hit!”

Stopped at 1 Target on my way home from work last night and lo and behold, Hoth was heavy on the pegs! I picked up one of each except for Vader (who needs ANOTHER Vader, getting to be like Han) and left at least 2 of almost all the other still hanging. Not used to getting the waves so early, I almost passed out from surprise. As for other stores around here, KB Toys has gotten the Carkoon wave and the Titanium series but all the Wally Worlds in my area are still doing their resets! Get with it folks. Low and behold was the proverbial jackpot. Both of the new Saga Collection waves, every figure all just put out like it was Christmas! To put the cherry on the sundae, they were still priced at $5.88 each! I am very surprised to see these waves hitting so soon and I’ll look forward to adding these to our 2006 Image page later this afternoon. United We Find Troops! I thought I was going to take a break from this collecting madness, but it looks as Hasbro wont let up. 2005!?! What can I say? The greatest movie year of all time? (At least for my child hood memoirs, so sorry ESB), awesome year for redemption, George's wallet, (10k out of my pocket!) My collection, Jangofred's collection. Wow I knew it was going to be a sic year when George had a meeting of the minds, and lined his pockets with George’s of his own forever. Also a personal thank you to Jedi Dom for hooking me up with the EBK. Bobafred firing up the after burners for 2006!”

Sandtrooper Erik a.k.a. ADayintheLife1979 Reports: Hoth Wave is Retail
“I am absolutely speechless today, folks. The entire Hoth Wave has been found…in Decatur, IL! Out of luck, my boss had sent me to our Wal-Mart early this morning for supplies. I decided to walk by the SW section to look for any more SAGA figs for fellow troopers…when lo and behold, they had an entire case of Hoth figs out, sparkling and minty-fresh! Check out your Wal-Mart stores, folks. Now that January 1st is past, it may be likely that they will move cases straight to shelves and hold nothing back!”

    Sandtrooper Joe Reports:
“First of all Happy New Year! I have been reading and enjoying this site for a long time, first thing I do in the morning when I come to work is access Sandtroopers.com read all the news and findings, then I start working. I do the same thing at the end of the day. Sandtroopers.com has the most up to date SW information and everyone helps each other out. I live in Miami Florida and not many people report findings or news from the Sunshine State. This brings me to my first cry for help. I have found 4 of the 6 new saga-06 figures. I need help locating Han Solo & Chewbacca. If someone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it of course I will cover the shipping and handling. Thank you Sandtroopers.com; keep up the good work you're doing.”

Images Reloaded: Wedge Antilles and Holiday Darth Vader
Got red glossy paint?!?We have had the opportunity to update our image guides with the two separate figures. With the holiday season behind us, Boba Binks has had a chance to add the Holiday Darth Vader. While I didn't think the Christmas Exclusive this year was as good as what was done in the past, I guess you would have to employ the old Christmas phrase "It's the thought that counts!"

Spare Parts Exclusive! Our second installment comes in the form of the Wedge Antilles Internet Exclusive. Just when you thought it was safe to talk bad about OTC figures again! If you were one of the unfortunate people who were not collecting back when the Rebel Pilots cinema scenes were available, you are now going to be lucky enough to acquire one of them. Special thanks to Action-HQ for these figures. Visit Action-HQ today for all these figures if you are still looking!

Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews: Double Sandwatch with Cheese!
Hey Troops, Sandwatch Action Figure Reviews have been updated with our second installment from the Saga 2006 Collection #002 Han Solo - with Carbonite Block. I'd have like to have gone two-for-two but as the great James Hetfield would say, "honesty is my only excuse!" Did we really need Han Solo? Also check out my own little Hasbro move with the addition of Boba Fett but with the old school review from April 3rd 2003, it was the only way I could see it getting a thumbs up! Hasbro isn't the only one who knows how to pull off a good rehash. Feel free to offer your own feedback about the Saga collection. Until then enter if you dare!

Revenge of the Sith: #1 at the Box Office for 2005
George with enough loot to fill up a Death Star!We can all get a little satisfaction with the Box Office results from 2005 coming in. Revenge of the Sith brought in over $380 million dollars according to the box-office tracking firm Exhibitor Relations. While Hollywood had a down year, George Lucas and Star Wars did not. For more on this story click here. I know for me personally I was very happy to see one of these films receive the recognition it truly deserves. Now if I could be so bold and predict some kind of Oscar? What is your opinion? Discuss it in our forums.

    Sandtrooper SoCal Dom Reports:
One of SoCal's Finest!“Wow, it has been quite a while since I last appeared here. I wanted to let a few people know how thankful I am for some of the help you have given me. Big shout out to Trooper Chris Gereke for hooking me up with a full set of the Pit of Carkoon wave. Also, a huge shout out to Trooper Bobafred for the countless leads as well as the help with the upcoming online items to be released this month. Your early bird kit is on its way! Hey Spice, I still cannot believe the extra bust ups you threw my way. I will never forget that!

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Inland Empire area of So Cal is pretty barren. I did not see the Clone Wars DVD 3-packs out here at any time, and it looks pretty bleak from here. Not much else to report. I wanted to let anyone out there who collects Bust Ups that I have an extra set each of the Battle Damaged Clone Trooper 4-packs. I have the Utaupau in one window and a 501st in the other. That is all 4 clones and each of their variants for all 8 bust ups. I want to sell them for cost-plus shipping. The good thing is if you need one or the other or both sets, you can be assured that you are getting the correct set. If you get it through SWShop, you may get the same set over again. I also have 4 extra Utapau Shadow troopers that I wanted to sell at cost-plus shipping. Send me an email with your offers. Good to be back, hope everyone had Happy New Year and good luck to everyone this year on their collecting endeavors.”

    Sandtroopette Donna Reports:
The First Lady of ST.com!“Hey Troops, Donna from So Cal wishing all a Happy New Year! Target is the only place stocking new stuff. Found Transformers, Custom Choppers, new Galactic Heroes (Speeder Bike wave), Ultra Titanium’s (Droid & ARC), and two waves of the Titanium vehicles (turbo tank & death star). I was lucky enough to find the TH white TIE fighter. Also at Target, I found 4 of the 6 new saga2 figs. Missed Boba and Han. Lastly, you may also want to check the clearance aisles at Target. Found Star Cases, Micro sets, fig w/cups, big wing TIE Fighter, and lava figs all on clearance. Happy Hunting!”

    Sandtrooper Darth Pharoah Reports:
Goes down Souf!“DarthPharaoh checking in for the New Year! Generally speaking the Targets around here have been the first to get out the Saga figures and newest Titanium series ships. Wally World’s been a bit slow having only gotten out those hideous choppers and the Transformers as far as I’ve seen. Nothing new at Kmart, KBToys or TRU yet but TRU has had some of the old Jedi Council Scenes sitting around. I picked up 3 of them for less than 6 bucks a piece. Wasn’t ever going to bother with these but at that price I couldn’t pass them up. Actually got a 4th scene from Entertainment Earth for just over 7 as well. Just waiting for the Hoth wave now! I’m out...Death to all scalpers!”

It's about 2 miles or so west of Waterbury just off of Interstate 84. To be on the official sign up list or get more details just email me. Happy New Year: 2005 Year in Review by Darth Spice
Watch your backside, there is still much a$% to kick! With the New Year upon us, it is time to take a look back and reflect on the hot year that was 2005. It didn’t really dawn on me until today when I put the finishing touches on our Year in Review. With countless additions to our Images and Guides, twenty four shows and events added to our Dewback Patrol menu, in addition to the news and features that were in place, we were in for a tour of duty that was simply incredible. Read about the year that was, the greatest year in the half decade history that is Sandtroopers.com. We would once again thank all of our readers who helped make this blockbuster year happen. We look forward to 2006. We will double our efforts to serve your collecting needs better and continue to build the endless army of Troopers…United We Find, Happy New Year and thanks again to everyone who helps make it happen.
