DAY 3: BRING IN
THE NEW RECRUITS!
 Hi
Troops. I just made the trip home to Indy from Wizard World. I had a
really great time getting to hang out with some of our guys. Dustrho
was in full armor from the second I walked in the door and I took on
the job of parading him through the convention for awhile posing for
pics with kids and fans alike. Spice had his armor as well but I
didn’t really get to hang out with him as much as he was getting
interviewed by
ActionFigureNews.com for a good while.
 I
did get to finally meet Doug Wangler at the
FederationToys.com
booth and was somewhat surprised at how down to Earth this guy is.
He had a special presentation scheduled today with the 501st Legion
where he was inducted as an honorary member, receiving a very nice
plaque. We had to work to get the isle blocked in front of the booth
as this seemed to be the popular place to be for all attendees at 2
o’clock. I would guess that there were between 30-40 501st Legion
members in attendance for Doug’s presentation and fans had the
flashbulbs popping throughout the event. It was amazing. This was my
first opportunity to really “hang out” with a group of 501st members
and it was quite impressive. This is a great group of individuals
and each and every one of them had a GREAT looking costume, whether
it was Trooper armor, Vader or Gammorean Guard, and they all were
more than responsive to all photo opportunities with the fans.
I had a great time with Spice and
Dustrho and want to thank Jim at Federation Toys (great shirt) and
Doug Wangler (autograph) for there time and generosity.
