MASTER REPLICAS
Our tour of Master Replicas had many highlights. With Corgi International taking control there will be a few changes in 2007. Perhaps the biggest announcement was their future distribution of the Kotobukiya Star Wars line. The studio scale line will bring a few new pieces this year including the Rebel X-Wing Fighter (MSRP $699) and Boba Fett’s Slave I (MSRP $699). While we only could see the prototype of the X-Wing, you can already see this is going to be a collectible of great magnitude. The helmet replicas are also going to have a major buzz with additions like the Commander Gree (MSRP not available), Boba Fett (MSRP $650), 212th Attack Battalion and Stormtrooper (MSRP $450). However judging by the looks of the helmet I could see they have a little ways to go.

If you think they’re ignoring the Rebels, don’t sweat it! The Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot is also on the way (MSRP $450). Also look for the mini-helmet to make a comeback this year as well. On the Force F/X Lightsaber horizon we can look forward to Yoda, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader (Episode IV). We didn’t forget about the Limited Edition Replicas, look for Ki-Adi-Mundi lightsaber and for the blasters we’re all waiting to see Chewbacca’s Bowcaster (MSRP $699). We also saw four collector plates that are in the future as well as bobble heads and several other unique collectibles, overall I’d say Master Replicas won’t lose any steam with the merger and is still offering collectors one of the highest quality movie props.
