SPICE'S
ENCOUNTER WITH THE MASTER The
2007 Toy of the Year awards were held this weekend in NYC and this
year the special inductee was none other than the Master himself,
George Lucas. Even though this is basically an award ceremony that
isn’t televised, it was really special to be in the audience as the
presentation took place. Members from three Garrisons across the
east coast helped create the necessary Star Wars atmosphere.
It
was truly amazing to not only meet the man, but to get a handshake,
autograph and picture will be enough of a memory to last a lifetime.
The biggest highlight of the evening was to personally thank George
for giving the inspiration for organizations like Sandtroopers.com
to exist. Even though the T.O.T.Y. award went to Tickle Me Elmo
Extreme, it took nothing away from the evening that truly belonged
