COVERING THE EVENT
As soon as I got to the parking lot the whole feeling of toy show sunk in.  I was going to be going to my first show in 2 years, and am anxiously awaiting five months until C3.  I got there an hour after the doors opened and this place was packed.

The dealers were obviously everywhere and there were a lot of cool people working the tables.  My friend John from Johns-Toys.com was the first one set up, and it was good to see him again.  He had a lot of cool items up for sale.  As I walked around a lot of the tables had the same amount of Star Wars figures and ships with nothing too out of the ordinary.  A lot of the tables did have the new post OTC figs but they went really fast.  I made my way to this one set up with some cool custom figs.  Mike from 2coolcustoms.com was very nice to me.  He has some very nice items and was selling everything at great prices.

There were a lot of DVD tables set up with a lot of bootleg material from copied Clonewars Cartoons to the new Sharktale movie.  After I left these tables I stumbled upon another dealer with great prices.  Jimmy, or Jimbo from other forums, was set up.  He only sells privately at shows and he doesn't have a website.  We started talking about websites and forums and once I mentioned my username, his eyes lit up like I was an old lost relative.  He was recruited to join our forums, and hope he does.  He hooked me up with 3 figs for a great price.

After I went from table to table I decided it was time to go over to the celebrities table to get some autographs.  Not more than one foot into the new area did I hear, hey you get over here, you want to meet a legend.  A legend no, but former WWF/WWE/WCW wrestler Virgil.  Man was this guy moneyhungry, trying to get everyone to buy an autograph.  I passed but he wouldn't even let me take his picture from a distance.  I kept my comments to myself because he is still in great shape.

There were a lot of artist tables set up, but really couldn't get any pictures since the tables were packed.  I made my way over to R2D2's table.  Kenny Baker was there with his wife, and both were very pleasant as usual.  Didn't get his autograph since I met him years ago, but it was nice to see him again.

The 501st were out in full force and were taking pictures for a small donation.  All of the kids there loved this, and were following them around like groupies.

After getting shot at from a Biker Scout, I couldn't believe it.  I forgot he was going to be here. Ladies and gentleman, Mr. Pimpdaddy, Mini Me.  Vern Troyer was there signing away like crazy.  This 32 pound man looked very tired, but was nice to everyone.  Sitting on 2 staked chairs, meeting babies, putting his pinky finger to his lip for many pictures.

Shook his hand and I was now on my way to the main event... C-3PO (Anthony Daniels).  His was the only line roped off and I stood in line for about 20 minutes.  As I got to the front of the line there was a table set up with various photos and CDs to purchase.  The guy in front of me was there with his to friends and works for a local newspaper that had an article posted earlier in the week.  Mr. Daniels joked with him and his friends for a couple of minutes, and then they decided to get their pictures taken with him.  These guys were like children in a candy store.  One picture with me, one with my friend, hold on I need to switch cameras.  Mr. Daniels was very amused by this, making him leave the picture for a moment to come to all of us in line and say, "Wow, I guess these three are the real Star Wars Geeks."  This got a huge laugh from all as he made his way back to get his picture taken.  Now it's my turn.  The only item I had to get signed was a figure for my pal WedgeWannaBe.  He was happy to sign the figure but wouldn't personalize it with MTFBWY.  He said it is posted on his website why he doesn't, basically for authentic reasons, but hey that's his choice and you have to respect that.  I thanked him for making C-3PO a part of my childhood/life and looked forward to his role in ROTS, which we all know he couldn't talk about.  I then got a picture taken with him then went on my way through the tables once again. It was very nice to be there but makes it harder to wait until April for C3.

Please check out all of the pictures and please note some info I got about upcoming shows: November 27-28 Mid Ohio Con.  Comic Book and Pop Culture fun at the Hilton Columbus at Easton Town Center with special guest Larry" Soup Nazi" Thomas and others.

Next, January 28th-30th the FX Collectible Show will take place at the Downtown Expo Center in Orlando Florida with many celebrities including Star Wars Daniel Logan (young Boba Fett), Orli Shoshan (Shaak Ti), Ray Park (Darth Maul), and everyone's favorite Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett).

Also, starting next October 27th, 2005, will be the world premiere of "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination Exhibition" at the Museum of Science.  I think this will be world wide, but it doesn't say on the card that I got.
