SANDTROOPERS' BOSTON: SUPER MEGA FEST
It's fall in New England, the Red Sox just celebrated winning the 2007 World Series, the Patriots and Celtics are both undefeated, and the annual Boston SuperMegaFest has once again arrived to the Sheraton Hotel in Framingham. This year’s theme was based on the original Batman and Robin TV show from our youth. Adam West (Batman, Mayor West from Family Guy) and Burt Ward (Robin) were on hand with the original Bat mobile. Now I don't agree with what Mr. West was charging for a fee ($50), but it was cool just seeing him in person.

Mr and Mrs. Jeremy Bulloch were on hand and I was quite surprised he actually remembered my name and my association with the website. He loves being here in the fall and as usual is super busy with shows until the end of the year. He will be in Paris this time next week for another huge show. They both wanted me to pass Happy Holiday's to all the Troops. Next was a favorite from my younger years. I believe he was all around the U.S. but I could be wrong, local native Frank Avruch (Bozo the Clown). I remember waking up super early to see his show. I always wanted to be on it.

Ray Park (Darth Maul) made his first appearance in the Northeast and the fans lined up to meet him. He seemed very happy with the turn out and the young ones really enjoyed meeting him. Ray and Jeremy are both two of the greatest people you could meet going to these shows.

Other celebrities that were on hand and having fun were: Helen Slater (Supergirl, Legend of Billie Jean, Secret of My Success), William Katt (Greatest American Hero), Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster), Larry Storch (Cpl. Randolph Agarn of "F Troop"), and Margot Kidder (Lois Lane), along with a few artist and of course the New England 501st that had a really cool Jabba The Hutt on display for all to take pictures with. There were a slew of vendors on hand as well that had plenty of current and vintage items that were not out of hand on prices. Darth Wormie and Mohawk Elvis were also there with a bunch of items for the charity "The Cam Neely Foundation". I don't want to take anything away from them so I will let them drop the details in the forums, but I have to say they were raising a lot of money. Well that's it for now; I can't wait again until next year. United We Find!
