The Silva Clan attended Comic-Con on Sunday only this time. This
summer has been super busy for us but we HAD to squeeze in at
least one day.
This years Con was completely sold out everyday and it
showed. The halls were jam packed with people. Call me crazy
but I miss Comic-Con being more of an insider thing. Now
with all the media coverage and Hollywood using it as their
latest movie trailer headquarters it's lost some of it's
mystique for me.
Nevertheless, San Diego knows how to run a Con. The exhibit
hall is huge and packed with booths. The panel rooms are
large and well equipped for whatever presentation is taking
place. A few of the larger rooms have HUGE screens and
stages so everyone can easily see. It's always exciting to
be there. It feels different from the Star Wars Conventions,
less familiar I guess. Their only real problem is food and
seating for food. No convenient food courts or booths.
We didn't get to see a whole lot of the activities since
most were not running on Sunday. We spent most of our time
running around the exhibit hall. You can spend days in
there! Iron Man and Indy 4 were the biggest buzz around the
Con. Everyone was shopping and picking up the freebies. None
of the lines were too crazy. All in all we had a good time.
