TIME TO LOAD UP THE DEWBACK AND GO HOME

The final day of Comic Con is taking it's toll on this trooper. I have spent a good amount of time going through the exhibit hall looking for new products from Hasbro, Gentle Giant, Sideshow, and Kotobukiya.  I meet up with friend, who was only visiting on Sunday.  Since I had the lay of the land, I gave another tour.  We walked around the exhibit hall looking at fan costumes and he peered in different booths to see what warez he might want later down the road.  We saw a few interesting costumes and few Star Wars themed one.  Oddly enough for as packed as the place was, it felt like the convention was dying down.

Around the lunch hour, me meet up with my wife, Tammi.  She wanted to see the Peanuts booth and take a picture with Snoopy.  After watching all the kids in the area play with Snoopy and give him hugs, we had our turn to take a photo with him.  The people at the Peanuts booth were giving away free buttons of Snoopy and other characters from peanuts.    It was time for Snoopy to go so we walked over to other booths to pick up the rest of the exclusive.

I needed to stop by the ACME booth to see the full size Sandtrooper display.  While I was there I have a few minutes to meet up with Peter Ferk for another signature and picture with him.  He is a very nice fellow and was more than happy to help this trooper out.  Peter did mention that he used parts of Sandtroopers.com as inspiration for the design character key cell.  I don't think this will be the last we hear from him.

As we near the end of the convention, we stop by Hasbro to pick up a few more figures for other troopers.  I finally meet up with Adam (Fence) and his son.  We chatted for a few minutes, while waiting in the Gentle Giant pre-order pick up line.  He "flashed" me his new Slave Leia tattoo!!!  It was nice to see him and his family again, but time was short and we had to part ways.  I did run into chicanodom before leaving the convention grounds.  He is a nice guy as well.

After a long ride on the Dewback home.  We unloaded all the goodies from the SDCC.  I did manage to get most things people asked for me to pick up.  I took a few pictures just to show you scalpers can be beat.  Before anyone asks these are all spoken for.  Until next time, United we find.
