SANDTROOPERS ROAM THE EXHIBIT FLOOR

The third day started out with the Star Wars Fan Club breakfast.  Josh attended this event a took a few pictures.  He had a good time. He will account his experiences in another journal thread.

I spent most of the morning waking around the exhibit booths looking for different freebies from the movie and television companies at SDCC.  I picked up a few odd but interesting items.  ABC was distributing luggage tags from Oceanic Airlines.  The fictitious company that owned plane that crash in the TV series Lost.  NBC was distributing "Vote Petrelli" buttons from the Heros TV show.  While walking around I ran into Steve Sansweet and asked for a quick picture.  He seems like a nice guy.  And yes, he was looking for more items to purchase for Rancho Obi-Wan.

Around 11:00 I walked towards the ACME booth to get my Sandtrooper Character Key Cell autographed by Peter Ferk.  He designed this and many other Cells produced by ACME.  I took a few snapshots of him signing.  He told me that he used parts of Sandtroopers.com as inspiration for this character.  This is my first cell and it is nicely produced and keeper for any Sandtrooper.

I tried to get in the Heros 12:00 panel, but it was capped before I even saw the opening of the front door.  Oh well, I grabbed some lunch and sat next to Masumi (muffy99) in the Sail room.  We talked for a few minutes about different things.  She even helped me find the fan clubs tables and the redemption area.  It was nice to meet her.  I was a bit lost with out her direction.  I was able to pick up my Indiana Jones 4 preview poster.  Thank you Masumi.

Some time after 2:00 a few co-workers drove in from LA.  Even on a Saturday afternoon, they ran into traffic as well.  Since I finally had a good grip on the location of each booth, I gave them a tour of the exhibit hall.  They were impressed with all the costumes and the advertisement frenzy that was going around.  We hit all the major companies and tried to find deals on some action figures, but product variety was hard to find.

We finally ended the day at the Video Gaming booths.  Rumors were already swirling that Comic Con would be renamed to Media Con, since so many Print, Television, Movie, and Video Game exhibits were to be found.  United we Find!
