SANDTROOPERS HAVE LANDED IN SAN DIEGO
Comic-Con 2007 has started and its crazier than ever! The line for will call today was 3 hours, just to pick up tickets. Luckily for yours truly, having a press pass I got a chance to just skip all that and get right in. The amount of people is staggering and just shows why this is the event you need to get to at least once.
Sideshow’s line-up is the most impressive of what I got a chance to look at today. Bespin Luke looks great! The appearance in person is almost exact to what Hamill looked like during Empire and the detail in the costume. Padme also looks better in person but you can tell this piece has a lot of work left before being totally ready for us. A New Hope Obi-Wan and Leia are truly amazing! Especially Obi-Wan - it truly is a dead ringer for Mr. Guinness, which after having received the Premium Format I thought would be very hard in 1:6th scale. Leia looks better than anything we’ve seen so far of this piece, and you can tell Sideshow has worked on it. Bubo is HUGE! I do not think we’ve seen a picture that shows just how big this is but when you all start getting it you will truly see why this piece is way cooler than you would normally expect.
Revenge Of The Sith is gonna get some real love with the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan Diorama. The size and detail is the best of any Diorama piece I’ve ever seen and will be sure to bring that famous battle to life. The Sandtrooper Diorama is also quite cool and small enough not to eat up a lot of space. The detail in it boggles the mind with how small this piece is. Another great piece is the Medicom Maul which has a really awesome likeness to Ray Park. Maul fans will be very very happy when they get a chance to own him early next year.
I’ll have way more for you all tomorrow but it’s late and this trooper is about to drop. So I’ll hit you all up with some great stuff tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy the images and stay tuned to Sandtroopers.com for
