DAY 1: HOLO YODA & MORE!
What a crazy night! I am lucky I only had to go to one place; the others aren’t open till eight in the morning. Well to sum it up it was a disaster. Scalpers everywhere and smoking parties afterward. This is Toys 'R Us, MIDNIGHT MADNESS! I went undercover so no micro-binoculars or Dewback, but instead I went as Adam Silva. You know how it is, I don’t want the Scalpers to know who I really am, and RJP did the same. Anyway I’ll get on with the story…

It started off as I expected, a crowd of a little over one hundred standing outside a local TRU. We arrived at 11:30pm and soon after 50+ people came, and I knew right then and there that this was going to be crazy. I’d say there were approximately 180 people there. The people in the front were there from 3:00pm, and now that’s what I would call a hardcore fan.

Finally the doors open. They let thirty people in, and most of them were Scalpers. They came in grabbed boxes and threw the figs in the cart, for sorting later. When we got in it was already chaos. Would we ever get something?

Well, it started slow. No figures in my hand, and I was pissed. All I wanted was a Clone Trooper, but no, the scalpers got them first. My hands twitched at the Scalper carts with the rare Troopers. By the end of the day, I would get one, even if I had to steal it, or take it by force…

We were getting ready to leave and I was cooling down, still I wanted to pick on the Scalpers at least, you know, ask them where they will be selling their figs and how their Mom is doing. Then there was this guy. He had the full shopping cart like a Scalper but was no Scalper, why, he gave some of the figs to others. I asked for the Clone Trooper and he asked if I had something to trade, well I had no figs so he just gave it to me. Sweet. I was ready to leave.

We got in line and RJP mentioned the Force Battlers. She said she really wanted the Grievous for my brother’s birthday. So I looked and looked, and looked, did I mention I looked? Just before paying some dude raises one up and yelled, “Who wants it?!” I ran and grabbed it. Well we got we wanted and we jetted out of there.

It was over, the collectors and Scalpers left a nice mess for the under-paid employees. The collectors had a nice smoke, including me (just kidding), and most were happy.

Now for RJP’s big stand. While I looked for my Clone Trooper with my sister she went for the Holographic Yoda. No Yoda. What happened was they announced in the paper and on flyers saying they would have it, well, right before opening their doors they found out they didn't have enough. They gave rain checks to the first people in line but no one else asked for it. RJP went up to them and found that the rain check was to get it for free. Awesome, a free fig.

DAY 2: FREE STUFF & EARLY BIRD SPECIAL
RJP and I ran a little late so we still went, hoping Scalpers didn’t take everything. Surprisingly, few people were in there. The figures were still fresh, Scalper free. I knew our Wal-Mart didn’t advertise that much but I am happy they didn’t!

When we came in it was quiet, and we saw a guy making a big picture out of LEGOs. It was still early and he may finish tomorrow, you’ll have to tune in until then. The picture was a M&M Peanut guy next to a Star Wars sign, it didn’t look that bad.

All around they has signs and life-size posters. It was pretty cool, kind of tempted me to get one myself. The figures were in surplus and it meant this was a Scalper-free zone. What irritated me was it was such a hassle to get that freaking Clone Trooper and they had at least ten out in the open, same with the Force Battler Grievous. Should have just went to Wal-Mart. Still we got to eat the Cheetos and get my free Attacktix figures, and not to mention our Wal-Mart exclusive Early Bird Special, mail-away figures! But only one person was in costume, which surprised me. My brothers still took pics with him though.

It was a real sigh of relief to know the place was quiet though, I am still tired from going to bed at 2:00am and waking up at 7:00am to help set up our garage sale. At least it’s almost over, just got to get to Target…

DAY 2 CONT'D: LAVA VADER IS OUR NEXT TARGET
We got over there at 9:30am and it, once again, was quiet, but not as quiet. We went to the figure isle and no Vader. Then a fellow collector tells us they only had 50 per store and only the first 50 got them. Disappointed, we still went to customer service, just in case. Well, she told us the same story but then the lady next to her tells her that they have four more in the back, maybe. So they sent us to the electronics department.

Yep, they had five more, I snagged one, and RJP got hers. It wasn’t free like the Yoda we got but who cares, it was 50 per store and we got one! So our mission was over! We left Target and headed home for some much deserved rest. Tomorrow’s the last day and our mission is simple, try to get the posters from Wal-Mart.
