North America Comic Book Store
May 5, 2012

Since 2002, the first Saturday in May has been Free Comic Book Day.  This year is the tenth anniversary of FCBD and comes on the heels of the Avenger's Movie.  Needless to say, comic book shops around the country have been gearing up to welcome fans into their stores.  Some of these places go all out and have bounce houses, call their local 501st and other costume guilds to represent their love, and others even have hourly raffles to give away other wares.  One comic book store reportedly secured a squared circle and held a few wrestling matches for exhibition.  Regardless of the comic store you visited today, "fun" and "free" were the central themes.

If you missed out on Dark Horse's Star Wars FCBD 2012 edition featuring Han Solo & Chewbacca, you can download a digital edition for a limited time here.
