Story by Chris Spice (Darth Spice)

The party is in full swing and while we didn’t have Bounty Hunters flying out of the sky, there was still plenty left for us to do at Celebration IV. Since my shuttle is departing early Sunday evening, I spent the majority of the day saying goodbye to all the Troopers, Actors and vendors throughout the event. I have to say meeting some of you for the very first time was just as much of a thrill as the event itself. This has been such a great week not only for myself, but my two children. It was beyond words to live my childhood through their eyes and also watch them experience the magic that captivated Los Angeles for nearly a week.

It was different than Indianapolis, but for me personally it was the best Celebration event yet. The people at Gen Con didn’t do a perfect job, but a much better overall as the only major problems were to be had at the Gentle Giant booth. I guess it is back to the drawing board for them and their exclusive distribution plans! I can only say people need to think before they break into a full stride run through a convention center. Is it really worth trampling children to obtain a figure? A statue? However it wasn’t that much of a blemish on a great weekend. Oddly enough after 1:30 PM, people were in lines ordering badges for CIV. I would like to send a very special thanks to Dave Dorman and the crew at Rolling Thunder for their assistance in our Celebration coverage. I would also like to thank Troopers Odiewan, Starfox, Bobafred, Anthony Grand, Fence, RJP, Darth Wormie, and Jacen Solo for a great relaxing evening and it was such a pleasure to meet and spend time with all of you. Stay tuned to for our wrap-up coverage and other supplementary reports courtesy of Trooper Odiewan. United We Find and Happy Anniversary Star Wars!
