DAY 3: KOTOBUKIYA PRESENTATION
The Kotobukiya Panel opens with a brief history of the line and what they do. The also gave us a pronunciation lesson on how to say Kotobukiya (Koto-boo-kia). The Sandtroopers coverage of Koto Panel was pleasantly surprised when they quoted our own Julian’s praises for their pieces. 2 attendees were surprised with receiving the number one and two edition of the Sprit of Yoda ARTFX.

The session continued with a review of the upcoming figures like the Limited McQuarrie Luke/Vader (June), Utapau Clone Trooper SDCC Exclusive. Obi-Wan ATOC (July) and General Grievous (November). The Q&A session brought rumors of a Scorch, Yoda, and Darth Sidious.

The next release this year will be the Royal Guard in dramatic pose, due out in November. Mock up is not painted, but the red will be released. Again more rumors swirled on what other paint scheme that might be released.

The first highlight was the announcement of the Bounty Hunter Series, six in total. The first release will be Boba Fett on February. A release will be made every month after the Boba. It will followed by IG-88, Zuckuss, 4-LOM, Bossk, & Dengar.

The Kirkio glasses would mostly like return with a Boba Fett version, the release unknown. They have several other designs are pending, but nothing definite was explained.

The next surprise from Koto will be the 1/35 scale Cross Section Series. The first will be an X-Wing. These ships were inspired by the cross section books from Del Ray. The Japanese release will have 6 mystery boxes with a small set of the X-Wing. When all boxes are obtained an X-Wing can be put together.
