DAY 3
REPORT: ENJOYING THE SHOW
Feeling much fatigue I headed off to the sanctuary of my hotel room for a trip to the hot tub. I don’t think I’ve walked this much in years. It takes forty minutes to get anywhere. They ceased selling badges this morning and I heard attendance was above 60k, I still haven’t verified this number. I’m looking forward to having nothing to do tomorrow but have fun and take pictures. I have my bust, Vader and a few extra for some good Troopers. I look forward to returning home even more. It
was quite a fiasco the last couple days so I decided to lay low and
set up shop in the Federation Toys booth to distribute the
Sandtrooper T-Shirts. It was pretty cool to meet Brian from the
Bothan Spy and Bill from Yakface and our old friend from way back
Eric Stormtrooper who used to have a section here until he moved it
to his own domain.
I
did what I could to capture the spirit of CIII with the fans passing
by in costume. It was pretty interesting to see the wide variety of
movie accuracy to expanded universe that boiled over into every
exhibit hall. We also had a group photo of Staff members and
S.C.A.L.P. Troopers who could make it. Myself, Sandtrooper Dan,
Jimsjedi, Jetfire, Binks, Snipe were graced by the presence of
S.C.A.L.P. Troopers Agent Tweeny, Sandtrooper Tyler (S.C.A.L.P.
Foreign Legion), Dom (WI), and Sandtrooper Dennis for a group photo.
It was very cool to be all in one place at the same time. We did our
best to get our name out there to recruit new members for the
future.
One
highlight of the day was Jay Laga'aia dressed in his complete
Captain Typho outfit, I was walking around with Jawa Chris Kelso and
we about dropped! It was also pretty cool to hang out with my
glowing eyed friend once again.
I
headed off to the autograph hall to snag a few signatures, but on
the way there I was met by a procession of Bounty Hunters that
wheeled by the Ultimate Bounty, however most would rather had their
prey dead! I breezed through the Temurra Morrison line with ease but
Matt Wood was capped off with a two hour wait.
