Hey Troopers! Welcome to the EPII Spoiler Section. I figured w/ my update, I would start
off at square one and cut loose what is believed to be the actual opening scroll for EPII.
We are finally within a year of the release! Man, I can't wait!!! Here we go.....
There is unrest in the Galactic Senate. Several hundred solar systems under the leadership
of the rebel leader, Count Dooku, have declared their intentions to secede from the
republic.
This separatist movement has made it difficult for the limited number of Jedi Knights to
maintain peace and order in the galaxy.
Senator Amidala, the former Queen of Naboo, is returning to Coruscant to vote on the
critical issue of creating an army to assist the overwhelmed Jedi...
The film begins as we see the Naboo Royal Starship entering Corsucant, accompanied by
Naboo fighters. As the ships land, and Senator Padme and her escorts exit the landing
ramp, there is a huge explosion! There are several dead and injured, and the ship is
destroyed. However, it was not Padme who was exiting the starship, it was her handmaiden,
Corde'. Padme, who had been flying in a Naboo fighter alongside the Royal Starship, rushes
to the handmaidens side, only to have her die in her arms. |

Welcome back to the Sith Channel and the EPII update. Be sure to check out ALL the
channels offered here at the Sith Channel. We here at Sandtroopers strive to bring you the
very best star wars collecting site, in every way shape and form. Anyway.....to the EPII
goodies!!!
One of the biggest moments in Episode 2 will take place on Tatooine. Anakin, now a
successful Jedi will return with Padme to his homeworld in search of his mother. He seeks
out Watto, who has lost everything to gambling. He tells Anakin that he was forced to free
Shmi and she has married a man named Cliegg Lars and lives with him and his son Owen on a
moisture farm in the desert. Anakin and Padme arrive at the Lars farm, and find Cliegg,
Owen, and Owens girlfriend Beru Whitesun, but find that Shmi is missing! Cliegg and Owen
tell Anakin that she went out in the morning to find mushrooms, and never returned. There
was a search party, but many were killed or injured by Tusken Raiders. Anakin immediately
borrows a swoop(speederbike) and races into the desert in search of his mother, leaving
Padme behind at the farm...
Anakin finally sees Shmi from a great distance being carried by a group of sandpeople. She
is wounded and as Anakin approaches them, the Tuskens beat Shmi and run away. Shmi is
barely alive, as mother and son are reunited after ten years. They exchange some final,
tearful words, and Shmi dies in Anakin arms. Anakin is absolutely devastated.
What happens next is the first true sign of the Dark Side in Anakin. After meditating all
night next to his mothers body, he buries her and covers her grave with rocks. Then as he
is going across the desert, he encounters some Sandpeople. He continues straight at the
Tuskens, withdraws his saber and mercilessly strikes them down! The anger and hate inside
Anakin has began to boil, and its only the beginning!
When George Lucas was asked to comment on Shmi's death in EPII, he stated, "The most
pivotal event in Episode 2 is Shmi's death scene. Anakin loses the only person that he was
really ever close to. From a deep emotional perspective, Anakin needs to find someone to
replace his mother. Padme becomes that person. Without Shmi, all of Anakin's love now
falls on Padme. Anakin needs Padme so that he can become whole. The death of Shmi forever
alters Anakin's life and will eventually have a serious impact on both the Jedi Order and
the Republic. The Jedi Order should have brought Shmi to Coruscant shortly after Episode 1
so that Anakin could have taken care of her. Anakin blames the Jedi for his mother's
death. A few years later Anakin will exact severe revenge against the Jedi for his
mother's death and he ends up personally killing several hundred Jedi Knights." WOW!
There you have it, the beginniing of the end...
Thanks for swinging by Troops, and check back soon for more EPII news! |

I'd like to start off with what appears to be the main villain in EPII. His
name is Count Dooku. It is said that he will have a light saber that is curved and
resembles the grim reapers weapon. He is also said to be killing tons of Jedi throughout
the movie, and at the end good ol' Yoda comes to take him out! Now that in itself would be
worth the price of admission, seeing Yoda whoop some tail.
As most of you know by now, Ewan McGregor will be returning to portray Obi wan
Kenobi again, but this time sporting a beard. Anakin will be portrayed as a older teenage
boy and will be played by Hayden Christensen. Natalie Portman will return (thank the Good
Lord) as Padme/Amidala. And also returning will be: Watto (Andy Secombe),Shmi Skywalker
(Pernilla August), Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best), C3PO (Anthony
Daniels), Mace Windu (Samuel Jackson), Yoda (Frank Oz), Ki-Adi-Mundi (Silas Carson), and
of course Kenny Baker as R2D2. We will also see Owen Lars (Joel Edgerton) and Beru (Bonnie
Piesse).

Also, Count Dooku comes to Jango Fett and asked him
to be the object cloned for a clone army to be assembled. He gives Jango a gift to
persuade him to do so. The gift is to be the first clone created from Jango. The clone
is...the infamous Boba Fett! That's right, Boba is the first clone of Jango, and so Jango
takes him as his "son". There is also yet another Fett in EPII, named Ambu Fett,
and he is said to be the Captain of the Clone Army.
I also wanted to mention that during EPII production in Australia, precision laser
scanning was used to digitally record the likeness of many of EPII's cast, and also the
dimensions of various props and such. This is just the beginning of the high tech accuracy
EPII's products will bring.
It also appears that C3PO does get a covering somehow, but it is not yet gold, but instead
just a plain metallic looking covering. It will be interesting to see how this comes
about. And of course good old R2 will be right at his side to save the day as usual.
And by the way... save all your Jedi Master Points, AND receipts, because it is said that
next year there will be an exclusive Jango Fett figure! But you will have to have receipts
to go along with your Master Points to keep people from stealing them off the cards.
That's all for my first report, but check back soon for more EP |
