COLLECTING STAR WARS
Collecting Star Wars items is much more than a hobby, but a way for us to enjoy life in a much better way. Some collect to relax after a hard day at the office, some collect because they like to impress not only themselves but other individuals, some collect for the mere sport of the hunt, and others collect simply because of their love for Star Wars. If you didn’t collect Star Wars items, would you even be here at Sandtroopers.com?

I think it would be fair to say that we all here have a pretty good collection of Star Wars items, whether that consists of toys (vintage or recent), movies (originals or “improved”), books, comics, music, advertising products, costumes and so many other categories. But if someone were to ask you what your most prized possession would be in your collection, what would it be? How long would it take you to reply with an answer? Would it be the most valuable piece in your collection? Would it be something that you owned as a child? Would it be something that simply brings back memories of your childhood? Would it be the biggest item in your collection?

Personally, I would have to say my most prized possession these days would have to be my sandtrooper armor. I chose that item as my most prized possession for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it was a gift from my wife celebrating our five-year wedding anniversary. I honestly thought I would never have armor to go trooping in, but those dreams and fantasies have all turned into a reality. Secondly, I love my armor for the mere fact that it truly makes me a sandtrooper. Not only do I work for the best Star Wars site on the Internet, which happens to be Sandtroopers.com, but I also can proudly say that I am a sandtrooper serving the Empire (TD1043 to be exact). And lastly, I have made so many new friends because of my armor. Ever since I joined up with the Midwest Garrison and the 501st Legion, I have participated now in three events with them, and each one makes me feel so proud to be a Star Wars fan.

With all this said, I would like to hear what your most prized possession is. I would also like to see a picture of it, if you have the ability of sharing a picture online with us. Feel free to submit your entry and photo in this thread in our forums.
