ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT THESE?
Hasbro really had something special going when they started the Unleashed line a couple years ago. The first Unleashed figure I ever owned was Darth Maul, and let me tell you how excited I was when I brought that bad boy home for the first time. Back then I didn’t open my Unleashed figures, but it still looked great carded (yeah, I know, why in the world would you buy these figures to keep carded, right?). Through the coming years, I had acquired every single Unleashed figure that Hasbro made, and I even got courageous enough to finally open them all up to display in my collection.

Sadly though, Hasbro decided to scrap that line, even after teasing us Star Wars collectors with the mentioning of three additional Unleashed figures, that would never be put out on store shelves. Was it ever explained as to why they weren’t going to go with these three additional figures? If they did, I sure don’t remember hearing about it. Instead, Hasbro announced several months ago that they would be coming out with a different Unleashed figure set, which they dubbed Unleashed Battle Packs. These packages would contain four smaller two-inched figures, but by doing this I think the overall quality of these declined in a way that might steer me away from purchasing these (once they do end up coming out to retail). So why did Hasbro decide to move from the bigger Unleashed figures to the smaller two-inch Battle Packs? Hasbro has yet to publicly explain themselves behind this marketing strategy.

So will you be running out and buying these, once they do become available to the public? What are your thoughts about these? Share your opinions and theories over in our forums.
