| Sandtroopers.com™ would like to thank DG Promotions™ for allowing us 'all access' to the
event. The greatest surprise of all was the amount of Star
Wars Collectibles that was on hand. From
collectible plates, vintage record albums, original art
posters, vintage figures, and replacement stickers, to
all the newest modern figures, there was nothing for a Star
Wars collector to desire. Joyride Studios™ was on hand to present the prototype
"Starbuck" figure. What you see in the above
photo is not what will be released; the head is going in
for a major overhaul, for a more perfect 'face.' I really
thought the other Joyride products were amazing, seeing
how Halo may be the best video
game in the world. We
would also like to thank the guests from the original Battlestar
Galactica™ TV series. Richard Hatch among the many
others was a wonderful guy and has passion for what he
does. It is a shame that the trailer he produced was
never picked up for a series. It looked to have great
story and dazzling special effects, much like the
original series did. All of the guests were awesome with
the fans. It was a great weekend of nostalgia. I remember
back before there were leaks and pictures or trailers
shown on the internet. Battlestar Galactica™ was the glue that held us Star
Wars™ fans together until The Empire
Strikes Back™ was released. It was nice to remember
how great this television show was! For those of you who
could not attend, we hope these photos can hold you over
until next year when the show comes around again!
